    Hummus with mushrooms.
    Alma P.

We came and have a catchup lunch. My fellow yelp friends Andrew and Angie two of my mentors yelping. They chose this restaurant and I was please le of the ambiance and the decoration of the place. So we order an item from the menu and we share between the three of us. Great thing to do because this way we get to try everything and we were satisfied. So Andrew and I order lattes. Mine was pistachio. It was unbelievable delicious. The prettiest and delicious pistachio latte that I have tried. So good. It was a great portion too. Angie ordered the chef's Fava beans, Andrew the mushrooms and hummus and I got the Lebanese Spirit. The hummus with the mushrooms came with the pita bread. They arrived and they were so fluffy. They looked very delicious and puffy. The hummus had a great taste and it was great combo with the mushrooms. They were veré satisfying. It was very creamy and tasty. The fava beans came with some fresh green onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers. It look so refreshing and they were delicious and soury. They were very filling. The Lebanese Spirit was so beautiful and so delicious. I got in love of the look and the flavor. It was very soft, cheese, and the spices and veggies on them made it so good, and tasty. Highly recommended. The service was ok. The water it's so good. The waitress was attentive. I thanked my friends for introducing this place to me. I was gladly surprised. Definitely coming back to try more items from the menu. They have plenty to choose from. Place was very clean and welcoming.

I tried the American Spirit today--a classic plate of waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, and fries, done in true American style. It was my first time ordering a breakfast dish here. Overall, the meal struck a decent balance between comfort and a sense of freshness and quality. That said, I personally prefer my bacon and waffles a bit crispier, and the fries were fairly ordinary and did not stand out. Service was a mixed experience. My server was warm and friendly, but not particularly attentive. I had to wait for utensils after they were forgotten, and my water was not refilled until I was nearly finished with my meal and ready to leave. I also noticed that servers who were not directly attending to my table tended to avoid eye contact and did not engage much. I often found myself setting the tone--offering a smile or initiating conversation--before receiving that same energy in return. All in all, nothing about the food or service stood out as exceptional during this visit.

I came here for the very first time on a Sunday morning with my husband after running at Woodward. The waiter who initially took our order was average and a bit hard to find, but we were later helped by someone who was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience better. We tried the chocolate French toast and the all American breakfast. The food came out fresh and tasted delicious. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients, which stood out to me. The inside of the restaurant is very cozy, with lots of plants and warm woven decor on the walls and baskets that give it a nice atmosphere. Overall, I might come back because the food was great, but the service did not fully impress me.

My 2nd visit here, I dined in at lunchtime on a Thursday. Suggested by my fabulous server, Meg, I tried and LOVED a non-alcoholic spirit, the Cranberry Cosmo. Since I had not yet eaten breakfast, I ordered avocado toast. Slightly generous, but just the right amount, of avocado spread. Also arugula, caramelized onions, balsamic sauce, heirloom tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and light balsamic sauce on wheat bread. It was delicious and fulfilling. Had to ask about the WTF (What's Trending Fresno) dessert, and ordered it for take out. On this day, the WTF was Daisy Cat. My littles and I enjoyed and devoured it at home. My 1st visit was in attendance for a private party over a year ago. Very appeased to return, and looking forward to reordering same and trying more on subsequent visits. Also, Naj shared with me their new location downtown, in The Galleria, opened a week or two ago!

A full service restaurant, ready to receive you for breakfast lunch or dinner! With gorgeous decor giving an earthy vibe paired with upbeat music you are sure to be in a great mood! Staff were so kind and patient. Stopping in for lunch was amazing! I noticed their vast drink menu and all the drinks sound quite yummy so I'll definitely be back to try some of those! The wrap had great flavor that wasn't overwhelming and the fries paired nicely. Also the pita bread was so fluffy, hadn't had one like this in a while so i was pleasantly surprised! I look forward to visiting either of their locations again!

I first heard about them on KMPH 26 News and decided to give them a try. The young lady offered some great recommendations, and everything we tried was delicious!

Went for breakfast, service was great and attentive, the food was delicious and fresh. For drinks I got the hibiscus tea pot it was satisfying the color was rich and it was a shareable size for the table. My friends got the pistachio coffee they said it was creamy with the perfect blend of sweetness. I enjoyed my chicken warp it was very fresh and the garlic sauce was very garlicky just the way I like it. My friend got the Steak Fatteh and the pita bread and that is my new favorite dish. The avocado toast with scrambled eggs hit the spot. We will definitely be back here again and can't wait to try their dinner options next time.

Had been wanting to visit here and finally did for breakfast on a weekend. Got there before 9am and only 1-2 other tables. Sat by the window which has a nice corner bench. Pistachio lattes are apparently their specialty which was nicely flavored. Got the breakfast hummus which was huge portion and is scrambled eggs on top of hummus and surprisingly good! Their bread is warm and seems freshly made. We also got one of their omelettes which were decent and their specialty combo breakfast which comes with fresh veggies, labneh and this flatbread like dish which was so nicely seasoned. Ambiance is festive and fun. Staff attentive enough for weekend and professional.

Love it here. Good ambience with indoor and patio seating. Great variety on the menu. We had the meza style that includes three spreads and pita bread. Their peta bread is so fresh and yummy! I'd highly recommend the spicy labne and hummus. The Kibbe B Laban was a delicious dinner option. Their espresso martinis are fabulous. Good coffee flavor.

First time at Zaatar Bistro (and first time ever trying zaatar itself) and it was a hit! We walked in and were quickly seated at a table for two with good natural lighting. It was around 11:30am on a Wednesday so it wasn't super busy. I appreciated the holiday decorations they had up as well. We ordered the Red Nectar teapot to start, which was perfect for the gloomy day. While we sipped on that, our orders of the kafta special and the Lebanese spirit came out, and I was blown away. The Lebanese spirit was wayyyy bigger than it looks in pictures. It was basically a small/personal pizza, and I was full after like 2-3 slices (and I picked off the kafta as well, so maybe I could've done one more slice). The kafta special was tasty and the sauce it came with added just the perfect amount of moisture. The fries were pretty standard, regular fries. Our waitress was relatively attentive but not overbearing. We appreciated her service. Will be back!

I've heard great things about Zaatar and was able to finally try it out! Went during brunch time and they have a small brunch menu selection for the weekends. My plate contained eggs, fries, a salad, and a slice of toast. The eggs were really good, fluffy. I ordered some bacon (3 pieces for $3.50) and it was perfectly cooked. But the thing that was the most satisfying was the espresso martini. It's perfectly balanced (coffee, liquor, texture). The service was great! Very attentive, open to answer questions. It's cute inside with lots of seating. They have a bar too which they were showing the NFL football game, perfect for people who want to get some food/drinks and watch the game. I believe they had the sound on but not too sure. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu for lunch and dinner. And I'm for sure coming back for the espresso martini.

    Pita bread

We ate here about a month ago on a Saturday afternoon as a party of 6. This restaurant is very cute and was not busy at all. It has a cute Mediterranean inspired modern interior with a large bar and an outdoor patio. To drink I had the Garden Spritz, which was delicious. I have never had this premade spritz wine but it was light but more herby tasting than a regular aperol spritz. To eat, we shared the fattoush salad, the feta appetizer, and the chicken and hummus, with pita bread. The fattoush salad was fresh, and you could taste the pomegranate in the dressing, but it needed more lemon. The chicken and hummus was tasty and very filling. The pita bread was fluffy. The feta appraiser was just a large plate of feta cheese with a lot of herbs and seasonings. I had thought it might be more of a whipped feta, but it was just the cheese. The cheese was also kind of dry instead of the moist feta from brine, and it was so heavily seasoned that you could hardly taste the feta flavor. It tasted almost like the inside of Subway sandwich shop smells, that's strong herby vibe. My brother in law got the burger, and it had a fun personal touch of the logo toasted onto the bun. The menu is also hard to follow because they serve a brunch but they don't have a separate brunch menu or even a separate side of the menu, so it's hard to follow which items are for dinner and whether those items are entrees, appetizers, etc and what they contain.

Mango tea. My friends liked this.

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.
