Came here for a brunch birthday with 4 other people. It was nice to see a decent amount of outside seating and seemed big inside. The menu has a variety of dishes to choose from and even some options for people with a smaller appetite. Our waiter was patient with one of our guests who needed more time to decide what she wanted. I got the waffle combo. It came with 1 waffle, 3 eggs(had mine over medium) and a choice of meat(i got 2 strips of bacon). I think for the price it's a good deal. I just think the waffle could be a little crispy. The 2 other people who got one of the lighter options were satisfied with theirs. We came on a weekend in the afternoon. My Dad made reservations beforehand. It gets busy on the weekend, so we're glad we made reservations. The restaurant is expansive with multiple rooms, a piano, and an outside area. The decor is cute and nostalgic; it reminds you of an older place. There's live music and a big room for banquets. The service was average. We weren't checked on much, and the food came out staggered. The menu has a lot of items, ranging from savory egg dishes to sweet breakfast items. They also have lunch items such as sandwiches and burgers. They also have a lighter-size menu, which I ordered off of. The regular portions are quite big. I got the Two Egg Western Scramble with Hash Browns. It wasn't very seasoned, so sauce and seasoning are needed. The taste was fine, and it was filling. My Grandma thought her food was fine, and my other family and friends seemed to enjoy their meals. Fresno Breakfast House seems to be a staple for those living in the area. It's a nice spot for all ages and party sizes. I recommend going once and wouldn't mind going again with family, but wouldn't go out of my way to come back. I've lived in Fresno for over 20 years and last weekend was the first time I've eaten here. My friends and I made reservations here a month or so ago but I wasn't able to make it. I felt bad because apparently they don't seat you until everyone has arrived so my friends had to lie that I was in the bathroom so they could be seated. This time I was late by five minutes but thankfully they seated my friends, whew. When I arrived my friends already had drinks. I sat for a good 15 minutes before wondering why everyone was ignoring us and not taking my drink order. We eventually stopped two different wait staff about getting our server. It took way too long to get someone to our table. But once our server arrived, she was a gem and attentive. The menu has many options. I was really hungry so I went with their classic omelet. It sounded really interesting with artichoke hearts, spinach and mushrooms and cheese. It came with hash browns and biscuit and gravy. I didn't notice that a hollandaise on top with the asparagus and was nervous about that when my plate came out but it was good. What was straight up odd was the "omelet." It was more like a scramble; it wasn't folded over like an omelet and there were chunks of egg whites. It was tasty but very odd and disappointing because I wanted a regular omelet. What made up for it was the plentiful and fresh veggies. I have to mention the artichoke hearts were huge! I really liked the perfectly cooked asparagus. My friends both got the classic eggs Benedict from the "lighter side" part of the menu. I wished we would have sat outside because it was pretty noisy inside the entire hour we were there from 9-10am on a Saturday. Me and my friends first time coming here for breakfast, and it was a great experience. I called about an hour before meeting some friends and was told there was no wait time. They took my name for a party of three at 10 a.m., and when we arrived, we were seated right away. At first, after parking, I wasn't sure where the restaurant was located since it's tucked away in a corner. They have outdoor seating in the front, which is where you enter the restaurant. Fresno Breakfast house has been around for decades and for some reason I never made my way over to try it. The opportunity finally presented itself when I was in the shopping center getting my toes done. I'm fond with the exterior- it is so lush with lots of foliage and a beautiful fountain upon walking in. As far as the interior goes, it is quite dated but bright and airy. There was a pianist playing live and I thought that was a nice touch. Service was OK. Upon entering, the gentleman just awkwardly stared for a few moments and then proceeded to say someone would help us but nobody did? Finally a busser told us to have a seat and he would advise the server. A young lady came around and she was pretty neutral in her demeanor. Not really bubbly or cheery. I actually didn't opt for breakfast because they have clubs sandwich here and that's one of my faves. It was generously stacked on toasted sourdough and the beer battered fries were hot and fresh.
