Wow. Sergey is THE BEST. Me, being an idiot, dumped the cup of rubbing alcohol containing my diamond earrings right down the kitchen sink while I was doing dishes. I have absolutely no tools, and even if I did, would have no idea how to take apart the pipe to see if it's in the trap. My boyfriend finds a wrench, (I have a wrench?!?) it's too small. Hardware stores open past 8pm in Forest Hills? Non-existent. So now I'm panicking. Search on yelp for plumber and up pops this 5 star place. And it says they have a super fast response time! So at 9:05pm I send a message and get a pretty much immediate response. And he'll come out right away!!! Literally 20 minutes later he's ringing my buzzer. I had a toilet emergency where our toilet flushed but required 2-3 flushed for the water to go down. After each flush, it took a few mins to come back up. Our new tenants were upset because the toilet was malfunctioning and they requested it to be fixed at around 6pm. I called a few places and Eugene picked up. His shop was closed but he still came out of his way to help fix the toilet. After diagnosing the issue, we had to replace our toilet because the part needed to fix the issue is no longer sold. So... Eugene took apart the toilet, went to Home Depot, did not find the toilet we requested for so he drove to another Home Depot to pick one up. He installed everything cleanly and quickly. At last minute, he came to our rescue and got everything we needed. I double checked the toilet after the work and it was functioning perfectly. I highly recommend Eugene. When I called, I didn't expect same day service, but I'm grateful I was able to get someone to come out 40 minutes after my phone call! I bought a tv mount and neither I or my bf could figure out how to make sure it was secure (since it is in a baby room) Sergio showed up in a mask and even put on shoe covers upon entering my house. I directed him to my baby room where I wanted him to mount the television. He asked me the height I wanted the tv I showed him and he got to work. In about 20 minutes, he was done. He showed me how to take the tv off (should I need to) and how the mount worked. He was fast and efficient his work was neat and the mount is sturdy. I want to warn folks thinking of hiring Zabivay for plumbing handy work. Here's the summary: * hired Zabivay to install drain systems on 2 ikea sinks. The agreement was to install the drain systems so the vanity drawers would close. * He said he had done this many times and was no problem. We were away and had another contractor install the sink and vanity. We were not able to see the final, completed work. * He charged me $540 for this work. * We immediately rented out the apartment for 2 months and did not hear complaints from the renters. After they moved out and we walked through, we saw the problems. * I contacted Zabivay about the work and he was not willing to correct the work. * I had to hire another handyman, who did excellent work (Dave, at Elegant Design) to fix this work. He explained this was plumbing 101: - buy a longer pipes so the drain system would be farther back, so the drawers would close - this was not $540 worth of labor. I've attached photos of Zabivay's work and Dave's corrected work, as well as my email conversation with Zabivay to show our communication and Zabivay's willingness to correct his work. For plumbing handywork, I would not recommend Zabivay. Call Dave, he does great work and charges fairly. read more

Amazing service, I'm really shocked at how awesome of an experience I had!! I never leave yelp reviews but his service really deserves a great review! My kitchen faucet was leaking and I needed it fixed ASAP because it was leaking to my downstairs neighbor. I called on Saturday and he asked me to text some photos of the sink and pipes so he can assess the situation, figure out what parts were needed, and give me a quote. After I agreed to the price, he showed up the next day on time. He quickly took a look and realized the issue wasn't as bad as it looked in the photos, so he lowered the price which I thought was an honest and respectful thing to do (other plumbers might have stuck by the original quote and took advantage). Within minutes of arriving, he set out to Home Depot to buy the new faucet I needed, and even sent me photos and prices of options while he was there to make sure it was what I wanted! So awesome. When he got back 30 min later, he went straight to work and finished within 25 minutes. If I ever need another plumbing job, I am 100% calling again! read more

Eugene is total pro and has my full recommendation. Had to install multiple TV mounts into thin walls as well as a few larger shelves. He didn't install anything that would potentially damage the walls, which I appreciated. Sometimes your ideas just don't work. More impressive was all the custom work he did to install a hanging entertainment center (weighing about 90 pounds) into a sheet rock wall. This required tearing into the wall to build a custom mount bc my building didn't have the right studs. Things can get pricey quick, but you get what you pay for. So pay to have things done right! Eugene at Zabivay is fantastic! He came by our house to give an estimate on work we wanted done, and when we approved it he just pulled out tools and started working. He's friendly and very capable, and he works quickly and efficiently. He got way more done in a few hours than I thought one guy working alone would be able to do in one day. I didn't need to hover over him at all--just gave him a list of things to do, went over the details, and left him to get it all done. He's opinionated in that useful expert way, meaning that when I asked him to do a couple of things a certain way, he shook his head, explained why that way wouldn't work, and came up with a better way that worked like a charm. The business responded extremely quickly, I would say within 5 minutes for each of my inquiries AND it was on a Saturday. All of the other companies I contacted were either booked for the next 2 weeks (quite ridiculous) or provided me a much higher quote. He performed everything very swiftly and was very knowledgeable as he answered all the questions I had. I was going to build the island myself with the countertop pieces he had cut but when he arrived to my apartment, I asked if it was possible for him to complete the project for me for an extra charge. Great guy... Came on time, wore gloves, gloves mask and booties upon entry. Had a leak that i couldn't figure out. Water from the 2nd floor leaked into the first floor. I went ahead and cut the sheetrock on the first floor to locate the pipe. The position in which the pipes were located were extremely difficult to see let alone view. He did a few tests and found that that the leak in fact is not coming from the pipe which i was surprised to hear but im not a plumber so ill leave it to the expert to conclude. We went back and forth upstairs and down running the faucet, the tub, the shower, the toilet... No water was leaking. We finally splashed some water onto the tiles which i didn't even think about doing. Low and behold, the water started to leak. Appears the tile came loose where the water ran in between the grout allowing it to flow into the 1st floor kitchen. Not knowing what the problem is has to be the worst part. Even worse than the solution. Either way, problem solved. His main focus is plumbing so i didn't expect him to repair the tile. Will need to contact someone else for that. My only complaint would be the initial visit. He wasn't there for more than 30 min and the trip charge was a bit pricey considering only troubleshooting was done and no repairs but i can't fault him for that as i knew the cost going into it and agreed. I would use him again in the future if i needed plumbing work. He knows his stuff, is prompt, reliable and answers his phone. read more
