My wife and I were delighted by the beautiful work done by ATOZ Renovations. We're not in the habit…read moreof writing rave reviews. (We're New Yorkers after all.) But the job they did deserves recognition. Among the many people worth a shout-out: designer Chaya Uzan whose enthusiasm and ideas gave us a sense that our project was quite special; and Robbie Goldberg, our day-to-day contact and project manager, who brought a craftsman's eye to all aspects of the job. When problems were encountered, problems were fixed. An example: once we installed a new oven in the kitchen we realized that we would have to do without a favorite built-in spice cabinet. Robbie came up with ingenious fix requiring some custom carpentry so that the spice rack did not disappear but became an integral of the whole. Anthony, our renovation expert, was our first contact with A to Z. He encouraged us not to give up on what we wanted the project to look like even though other renovators had told us it was impossible to do. He also offered to answer any questions we might have along the way. Then there's Shevy, the permit and insurance coordinator. She dealt with the necessary paperwork and kept the inspectors at bay so we did not have to deal with those headaches. And last but not least, Mario, the site manager, who was there every day, hands-on, always professional and pleasant. On that note, the entire team seemed to like one another and treated us and each other with a refreshing degree of decency and consideration. To summarize: The team at ATOZ was thoroughly professional and kept us informed with clear, consistent communication every step of the way. Importantly, the team worked efficiently to stay on schedule and were fair when an unexpected issues arose, providing clear solutions. The final result is exceptional, and the quality of work exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend ATOZ to anyone.

Said he needed to order a part to fix my system and would be a few days, but when I called my landlord who hired him, he had told her he would pick it up himself while telling me he was waiting for it come in. Told me it was coming in Wednesday June 25 and hed come by if it came early enough, so I took off Wednesday and Thursday in case it didnt come in early and I asked Wednesday evening and he told me it was coming tomorrow the 26th, fine. He told my landlord hed be there between 3pm and 8pm on the 26th, no call no show, ignored all texts. Its now Friday the 27th and still no service or parts or even basic common courtesy and communication. I wish I didnt pay him until the work was done, so if you hire do so at your own risk and I highly highly recommend not paying until the work is done and completed. If he ever actually completes the job and didnt scam us Ill update the review and let you know but as of June 27, 2025 this man is a SCAMMER!

He was supposed to assess it two weeks ago but never showed up. I called him and he rescheduled to the following week. He then never showed up again and would not answer my phone calls (his voicemail is not set up) so I called my warrenty company who then reached out to him and he rescheduled for the next day with them. That day which was a Thursday he never showed up or responded to my texts as he told my warrenty company to tell me to text him. He AGAIN answered the phone not for me but for my warrenty company when I called them. He rescheduled for Monday. On Monday I preemptively called him and texted him to confirm which he did not answer. I called my warrenty company who called him which he did answer. He told them that he would definitely be there that day. He never showed up or responded to my phone calls/text messages. I'm so happy that my warrenty company now replaced him and will find another tech because I do not trust this person. I think that if he showed up he would try to find a way to scam me. At least he only wasted my time which is way more valuable than anything he can offer.

They completely ruined my bathroom and my kitchen. They cracked my kitchen countertops and it needed to be re-ordered and they broke my toilet. My kitchen cabinets were installed crooked and not aligned. My backsplash and countertop were carefully measured by my interior designer but they still managed to misalign everything and it had to be taken apart to redo it. My cabinets that were shipped from Italy have big scratches. My floors are scratched. I ended up having to hire another contractor and pay more to take everything apart to fix it, clean up the mess, and patch up all the poor quality work that was done. These guys are are a scam. DO NOT HIRE PAUL GAMBINO AND THIS COMPANY. This is a warning. If you go with him you better be prepared for bullying on top of atrocious and unprofessional work.

From the moment I reached out, Samir responded right away. He is an unbelievably good communicator. Because of scheduling and logistics, we did a lot of texting, and he promptly provided me with a detailed written estimate. Once I chose my color, he handled everything -- purchasing all the paint and supplies, and arriving with his assistant fully prepared. They carefully protected and taped off everything before starting. They were highly efficient, clearly experienced, and paid close attention to every detail. On the first day, they meticulously removed all the cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, organizing everything carefully in containers. Then they sanded everything thoroughly. They took the doors with them, and just two days later returned to reinstall everything. The finished result is absolutely beautiful. My kitchen looks amazing, and I could not be happier. I would like to separate out the work product from the service aspect. The work product you can seen from the pictures - our bathrooms are transformed. It's one thing to select nice finishes and materials and another thing to install them with care and quality. They delivered on both. Then, there is the service aspect. My wife was late into her pregnancy when we started the work and then we had a newborn and a young child too while the work was being finalized. Samir and team were so conscientious - there were times when we weren't even sure they were there because the were working so quietly. I recommend them without reservation and will turn to them for any future work we do.

They priced some hidden wine cabinet for $20K that I did not request or even discussed with them. When I responded to them via email they went silent. Very unprofessional and classic gouging! Caveat: This company did not provide construction services for me; just estimates. I would have removed this post as I do care about small businesses, but this owner emailed me calling me a "child and cheap" and told me I should go to Wayfair and Homedepot because that's what suits me. There were other attacks but I will not go into on Yelp.

There were some hiccups on the invoice but they credited me appropriately when I pointed errors out to them. they corrected problems immediately. So all in all this is the place to go folks if you want professional service from professionals who have all the supplies you'll ever need for electrical type work.

I called on a Friday afternoon, just an hour before they were closing, hoping to get help with my beloved Artemide floor lamp that had mostly discontinued parts. Luca answered and kindly told me to come by, while cautioning that they closed at 3 PM. I rushed over, and I am so glad I did. Not only was Luca welcoming and professional, but his knowledge was incredible--he had even worked for the Rondo company in Milan and knew this lamp inside and out. What a rare find! A friend of mine once spent four hours unsuccessfully trying to fix it, and Luca solved it in under 20 minutes with absolute ease. Beyond his skill, he was one of the nicest people I've met in customer service--genuine, thoughtful, and truly passionate about his craft. And I have to add: the most stylish and fashionable electrical engineer I've ever encountered! Thanks to Luca, my lamp is shining beautifully again. Make an appointment with CN Coterie at your own risk because they may not ever show up! We made an appointment to have an estimate on electrical work done about a month ago, on a Thursday. At the time that we booked the appointment, they confirmed that they do service in our area. Appointment was set for Friday between 10 and 1PM. At 12PM, we received a courtesy call that the electrician would be here by 3...okay, red flags. At 3:20 he had not showed up, so we called and were told that another job delayed him. We rebooked our appointment for the following day, Saturday, between 8 and 12PM again. By 10AM, electrician had not show up, so we called to get an estimated ETA. We get a message saying "Sorry but we don't cover your area." Um.... are you kidding me??? You said you covered our area when we booked two days earlier! And our area was fine when we rebooked after the electrician didn't show up the first time!! This basically delayed our project and left a bad taste in our mouths...we'll take our business elsewhere. This is a true shame because some of my friends recommended this service to us based on their so-called "great service" after using them last year. But I guess, the new management at this company has no idea what they are doing. read more

I had some electrical issues with my lights in my apartment and had struggled finding an electrician. Some said it would it take weeks to come for an initial inspection; others never followed up to my inquiries; and others quoted very high fees that seemed to get higher after initial visits. My experience with Ricardo was the exact opposite. First he responded promptly (within 15 minutes) to my initial Yelp request and offered to come the next day. Thereafter he was always very quick to respond and was very flexible with when he could come to help. The other really pleasant surprise was that after an initial review he quoted me a number to fix the problem, and that was the final rate I ended up paying. No hidden fees, etc. even though the job took longer than Ricardo initially thought, he still charged me the initial quote. Add on top of this, Ricardo is a very nice, hard working person who really went above and beyond (he even fixed a few other things in my apartment not related to the electrical issues while he was there, again at no extra charge). I had a great experience working with him and would recommend to anyone else. read more

Wow, CN Coterie was again my go to company to expertly repair my wooden floor that was damaged due during the rain storm and flooding last week. I have used this company several times for carpentry and plumbing work. I'm always extremely pleased with the end result. Ricardo and his team are professional, kind and highly skilled. I can't say enough great things about Ricardo. I'm a real estate agent and very particular about who I refer to clients as they are a reflection on me and he did not disappoint. The contractor I usually use was no longer available and so I jumped onto yellp and saw some of the great reviews and took a chance on Ricardo. My client needed some extensive work done on a duplex loft that we were putting on the market, and Ricardo knocked it out of the park. All the work was seamless and he made the apartment look brand new. I'll definitely refer him again and my client plans on using him again. I highly recommend him! read more

Ricardo is the best! Great service and very reliable. I wrote to a bunch of plumbers regarding our frozen pipes and Ricardo called me right away. He said he will get someone out there. He was accommodating with time and worked diligently on our pipes for a good 3+ hours. Very persistent. It wasn't early in the day either so he really helped us out and I highly recommend ! Scheduled a estimate in Bayonne, NJ. Guys called after apt time asking if the address is in Brooklyn, Ny. I know some tradesman are not the sharpest tools in the shed, but taking the time to check the address of an appointment is just common sense. I shared that I was having low water flow in my toilet as well and thus experiencing frequent clogs. I'd ask if they can both unclog the toilet and to evaluate my toilet to see what the problem is. When I called, they gave a quote for 20 mins which was way faster than I expected! Nevertheless, they were late, taking an hour to come. That alone isn't the problem but without clear communication, it makes planning difficult. He did text that he was 18 mins away, 20 mins into the wait. And by that time, he was 20 mins late from that estimate. He came into my apt and QUICKLY fixed the clog with a drain auger (?). It seriously took 1 minute. I asked him if he could then take a look at my toilet as well to see WHY I keep having this problem. He takes one look at it and says you need an ENTIRELY NEW TOILET and quoted me $600. He didn't look at the tank, do any sort of inspection. I said wow that seems extreme to have to replace the whole toilet, you haven't even taken a look. He said he knows these sorts of toilets and that I'd need a new one. I asked him to send me a quote so I could share with my landlord. Never received the quote! He charged me $150! I get that is the service fee but I don't think that's fair for 1 min of work and not even taking the time to inspect the toilet to see what could be wrong with it. Asked another plumber to check out my toilet. They replaced some parts and now it's flushing appropriately. They had much better prices and better professionalism. Please don't waste your money on this company.
