When I came to computer building and certain parts they knew exactly what they were talking about and if they didn't they researched it before concluding my inquiry. At the time when I went the store wasn't that full. What I mean by that is there were not a lot of people there. The options that were given to me were clear and straight to the point. I had plenty of options for what I was looking for for my computer or future computers. The overall quality and cost seem to be reasonable. If you ever have questions on computers and are looking at anything relating to building or repairing a computer this team did a pretty good job.

I absolutely hate the Gurnee Best Buy location!!! Always something…read more.. Anyway, I ordered 2 headsets/headphones online and went to the store for pick up this evening (July 24th, 2026). I had been standing in line for quite some time as one of the cashiers was trying to handle everything by himself. I assumed he was overwhelmed and he ended up calling another associate, Sophie, to come help him. Once she stepped behind the counter, this white guy that had been standing behind me in line just walked up to her like he was next and she was about to assist him (like I had not been standing there waiting). So I said, "Um, excuse me, I was next." The guy apologized and stated that he didn't know I was next. I'm not sure why he thought that. He had been standing behind me in line for about 5 minutes...can we say "ENTITLED"? Anyway, Sophie tried to help me next and I told her that I was there to pick up an online order. She said, "Oh, for online orders, you need to stand over there on the red carpet". I walked down to the red carpet and she proceeded to help Mr. Entitled. Once she finished assisting him, she came down to the red carpet area to help me. Mind you, there's a line of people waiting for assistance at the original line and also at the red carpet area. Not sure why she was bouncing back and forth between both lines. However, I was the next customer in BOTH lines technically, so why did she even have me move to begin with??? I said, "Are you serious? You just helped this guy first, had me come down here, then helped me when I was ahead of him. I just told you I was next in line. So why would you have me move if you were handling both lines?". She said, "Girl, it's not that serious!". Side note: Calling a black woman "girl" is disrespectful and derogatory for those who do not know the history behind it. Also, I am not this young woman's peer. We're not buddies. I am definitely not her... "girl". Anyway, Sophie proceeded to retrieve my items, but since I did not like the way she handled the "next customer in line" situation or her disrespect by calling me "girl", I requested an immediate return (lol). This annoyed Sophie and she got on her walkie talkie/2-way radio to ask for assistance from her manager. She said (and I quote), "I'm about to spazz out on this f@#%ing customer". She didn't think I heard her, so I said, "What did you just say?" She said, "I didn't say anything". I said, "Yes, you did. I just heard you. You said I'm about to spazz out on this f@#%ing customer". Then her manager, Ty appeared. I explained to him what had happened and he was super nonchalant, monotone, no apology on behalf of his staff or anything. He reminded me of a black version of Ben Stein on those old Clear Eyes eye drops commercials (lol). He said, "I'm just here to do the return". I was in a good mood prior to all of this...Friday evening, time for the weekend! Actually, I am still in a pretty good mood (lol), but this place is full of inexperienced young folks that lack training and respect. This new generation is scary. Lack of home training and basic customer service. The fact that Sophie needed back up from a manager to begin with was laughable. Toughen up!!! I'm not even a rowdy one! (now that would have been great to see). I'll just have to continue to drive to Vernon Hills if I want to continue to shop at Best Buy, because this location is horrible. I knew better, but didn't feel like driving that far out there this evening. Lesson learned. I'm done with the Gurnee location.

I immediately filed a claim and my phone was scheduled to be delivered between 7pm and 9pm the next Monday. I also filed a claim at United Center and guess what... Monday afternoon they found my phone!!!! I immediately call AT&T and Asuruon and they tell me they can't intercept the order and not to accept it. So, I am driving home all happy and I call my son who is on the spectrum by the way and asked if he wanted Chili's for dinner. I told him to tell the agent the phone is no longer needed. Apparently, he had just signed for me thinking he was being helpful and ran to catch the tech who's name is Desiree by the way to tell her thats OK. Desiree refused to take the phone back ( my son handed the phone to me) and I shared that my son did not know what he was signing. She said she did not care that he had Autism, he is over 18. She refused to give me her name or her supervisors name and left my son distraught because he had signed something he didnt understand. This was truly an easy fix and a lesson for me to reinforce with ny son the importance of signing for something without understanding. Desiree needs some social skills and common sense training. Asurion needs a new policy and that is a multifactor check fir signatures! I am going to give them a chance to fix but I dont know how. Now, I have a phone that I have to return at cost and time. I am more disappointed in my exchange with Desiree because she intentionally did not provide her name, id number or any credentials and her response to my son's response was cold & heartles! I wish I could give them 0 stars! At&t just lost a 20 plus years customer

I tried other stores online (ABT, GE, and others), but there was nothing I needed in the size that fits my laundry closet and/or at an acceptable price, and every store was out of stock for anything close to my possible choices. I even tried other Grand Appliance stores, but... I had no luck, then I called this Waukegan store and spoke with Robert Sikora who found the dryer that no other store had, esp. for more lower price than others. He found the machine that was in stock, gave me great price, and scheduled my delivery as soon as he could. He also promised to call me if an earlier delivery day opened up. Frankly, I was skeptical of him calling me, because I never met this person, and - guilty!.. - I assumed that the salesman would not remember his promise after he made a sale, but... he called me a couple of days later and told me that he got an opening 2 WEEKS EARLIER THAT INITIALLY SCHEDULED. They delivered the new machined on time, installed it quickly and skillfully, and hauled away my old machine for one very low price. NOW THE QUESTION FOR YOU: WHO WILL I GO TO FOR MY NEXT APPLIANCE? :-) The very best purchase at the very best place from THE VERY BEST SALESMAN (and a very friendly person).

I found 911 Tech Repair online and I was happy to know they were right down the street. The pricing was VERY reasonable and it was a one week turn around time. Which was also reasonable for me since we were leaving in about 12 days right when she broke her iPad screen. The iPad works great and looks as if it had never broken. Experience one. My second experience was when I took in my iPad mini. It was put away in my drawer for about a year and some odd months. I had lost all hope. I had cracked the screen in a small area but as time went by the cracked screen got bigger and bigger. I finally took it to the mall in 2014 to get fixed. They fixed the screen but the iPad mini never worked again. The functions were not doing as instructed. I had no idea the mall stand had done a bad job. I just thought the cracked screen had effected the entire gadget. I had already taken my daughters big iPad this December 2016 when I told him about the iPad mini and he told me to take it over. He educated me on what the place in the mall had done wrong and how he could fix it. He told me to come back in 3 hours and that is what I did. My iPad mini works fabulous and I am so happy to have found this place. I strongly recommend it.

After getting frustrated without resolution, owner came out and and screamed fxxx you 3 times in a row at the top of his lungs. don't make the same mistake and go elsewhere! this owner or manager is not a business man. and no one wanted to give me his name. how he has more good reviews than bad ones is baffling to me. after reading 911 hackjob response. yes there was a tmobile disruption. however my phone still does'nt have any text or phone network. Everytime your company screws something up, by accident or dishonest upsell, you will always have the excuse of blaming the guy who supposedly was internally into the item previously. a person would'nt know this after you already opened the item up! Understand, everything worked except blurry close pictures before i came in. I now have nothing. Bought another phone. This outfit had no response to ruining my phone. No insurance, loaner phone, and was yelled "fuk you" 3 times in a row by some creep, who would not tell me his name. Previously, when walked in back to lock my sensitive files. i noticed how discustingly dirty this shop was. electronic shops should be virtually sterile. This is not acceptable. So what happened to my phone Einstein? There was a company when i was a hvac tech that worked for a very slick dishonest owner, which I would not work for anymore, and quit. i know how shady businesses work. Stay away!!!!
