Most people were in jeans and a polo but some people had jackets, saw one guy in gym shorts so a fairly wide range Food 5/5: we got the prosciutto and burrata and the steak salad for apps, the filet and pork chop for mains and the carrot cake and chocolate cake for dessert. Everything tasted amazing, the filet was perhaps a little over salted but still delicious. Service 5/5: very friendly and professional with good recommendation and prompt water refill. Ambiance 3.5/5: very beautiful location but a bit over crowded and quite loud. Felt like people walking past kept kicking into my chair leg even when I was tucked in Value 4.5/5: Imo this is one of the best values part of houston restaurant week, actually better prices for the same dish Overall: good food and good service, one of my fave steakhouses in town, will be back Parking: 6$ valet or paid street parking or can be free parking in the back past the lot

The first impression delivered. The room is handsome and the energy walking in is great. Then dinner happened. My bone-in ribeye came to the table rare when I ordered it medium rare plus and specifically asked that it not arrive underdone. The refire came back cold, and worse than the temperature, it had almost no flavor. From a steakhouse known for dry-aging its own beef, that was the hardest part to understand. My wife's crab cake arrived buried under a heavy sauce when she wanted to taste the crab. The brussels sprouts were billed as crispy and showed up soft and soggy. The cheesecake closed the night as flat as the steak. Two things kept this from one star. Our server was attentive and professional all night, and none of this falls on him. And the space really is beautiful. But the room gets so loud at peak that we could not hear each other across the table, so even the atmosphere works against you by mid-evening. Four hundred dollars for two people should not feel like a total waste, and this did. Two stars, and we will not return.

Herbert's Specialty Meats on Richmond near the Galleria instantly took me back home. The moment you walk in, the number of items from Louisiana is delightful Their boudin, seasonings, and prepared items reminded me so much of my grandmother's gumbo, boudin, and rich, slow-cooked stews--comfort food that warms your soul. You can taste the authenticity and love in everything they make. This is the kind of place that understands balance, spice, and tradition. Customer service was excellent--friendly, patient, and genuinely happy to help you find exactly what you're craving. There are tons of choices, whether you're stocking up for a cookout or just grabbing something to satisfy that Cajun craving. For anyone missing Louisiana flavors or wanting the real deal in Houston, Herbert's is a must-stop. It feels like a little piece of "The Boot"

I purchased two packages of frozen marinated beef burgers from this store. When I got home and…read moreopened one of the packages to cook it, I immediately noticed a strong foul odor, making me concerned that the product was no longer safe to eat. I checked both packages for an expiration or "best by" date but could not find one anywhere on the packaging. I called the store and spoke with the manager (Omar), to explain the situation. He told me that there are no rules requiring expiration dates on frozen meat and stated that "frozen meat doesn't expire." He also assured me that I could return the product for a refund. After driving back to the store, Omar refused to honor what he had promised. Instead, he continued insisting that frozen meat does not expire and declined to issue a refund. I was disappointed not only by the quality of the product but also by the way the situation was handled. I expected the store to stand behind the products it sells and to honor the resolution that was promised. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I have had. I hope the store improves its product labeling, quality control, and customer service.
