He allowed me to test drive the Tucson and let me bring my husband and newborn along with me. He helped us get the car seat and stroller into the car and told me about some features of the car. I decided I wanted the car and it didn't take long to get everything squared away so that I could leave with my car that same day! It was a very easy and painless process! Because we had our newborn with us, it made it slightly more stressful, but everyone working here was so friendly saying hi to my baby.

Exterior signage on the building is not the best, so it can be a challenge to find the right service entrance upon arrival - there are other Northtown vehicle dealerships sharing the same parking lot and there is more than one service location, for different brands. Staff were friendly. The waiting area is comfortable and has a charging station for phones etc, free coffee and cookies, a vending machine with snacks, a tv (wish the remote had been available to change it from news though, would love to see sports on there!), and I saw coloring books and crayons too so kids can be occupied. It's four stars instead of five for two reasons - one, they misplaced my keys and it took an unreasonably long time to find them, and the second vehicle also took a longer time to pick up than I think it should have. Two, although they send video walkthroughs of several things on the vehicle (tire tread, etc), there is no description either in the video or in the paperwork of exactly what the video is showing or what things mean. Obviously green is good, red is bad, but... are those brake pads (my assumption) or something else? How long does it take to go from yellow to red on the little test things? I'd love more discussion or a flyer so I can understand what is being shared.

Every visit has been frustrating, and the service experience has been consistently disappointing. Because I work full-time in Compliance, dealing with an unreliable brand-new vehicle has been incredibly stressful. My father had to step in and work directly with both Mazda Corporate and the dealership just to attempt to resolve the issue and secure me a loaner vehicle--something the dealership never proactively offered. With the exception of one employee, the service department has made me feel invisible. Most interactions consisted of simply handing me my keys with little to no explanation of what was done or whether the issue had actually been resolved. Today's pickup was the final straw. I received a text at 11:15 a.m. that my vehicle was ready, but when I arrived after work, I waited nearly an hour without anyone acknowledging me or providing an update. After having my vehicle for almost three weeks, it was returned dirty. When I politely asked if it could be washed, I was met with an attitude. To make matters worse, the service advisor left my vehicle running in the middle of the driveway and simply walked away. I have never experienced customer service this poor, especially from a dealership. Between the lack of professionalism, respect, and communication, I cannot recommend Northtown Mazda's service department to anyone.

Northtown had my car for two days, replaced 4 front bushings, sway bar links, and did an alignment. While driving out of the dealership lot, I noticed my steering wheel was off-center. This is something the service tech should have noticed as the car was being driven out of the service bay. I contacted the service advisor who asked me to bring the car back, so the car could be realigned. On my trip back to NC, I still had car issues. I took it to a mechanic in NC who indicated the control arm bracket on the right side was not tightened at all. The thought of having driven over 700 miles, with an issue that could have potentially caused me to lose steering and lead to a catastrophic outcome is very unnerving to say the least. I am extremely disappointed with the service technician who handled the car repairs and that there was absolutely no oversight to be sure I had a safe car to drive.

As he was leaving the office, he said, "these fucking people," referring to my father-in-law and possibly to us on the phone with him. This comment was completely disrespectful, felt racially charged, and came entirely out of left field. After hearing this, we no longer felt comfortable giving this dealership our business.
