Full disclosure: I've never had a vehicle serviced here. Then why am I writing a review, you might ask. Read on... The low tire indicator on my dashboard lit up, so I stopped at a local gas station to get some air. As I was struggling to keep the hair out of my eyes and the hem of my coat off the ground, I heard a voice behind me asking if he could help. He mentioned that he worked in a garage as he pointed to his "Good Guys" shirt, and then proceeded to fill my tires. These fellas were amazing! My transmission went on my vehicle back in April it was at a shop for about 4 and a half months just about! After they told me they could not fix my car!!!! Very strange acting crew. Very odd atmosphere there was afraid to get serviced there and left!!!

Charged me $400 for a new alternator which broke a week later. Took it to a different mechanic, they said we were given some garbage part and replaced it perfectly himself for less. In the last six months we've tried to get Good Guys to refund at least the part cost, but have been given the run around and have given up entirely. read more

We were in Niagara Falls just for the day when we found out we had an emergency with our RV. We found Goodguys Automotive from Google search, saw their reviews, and called them to make sure they were still open for business and they were willing to take a look at what the problem was. As soon as we got there, they started to work on it. About 15-20 minutes later, the problem was fixed and we were good to go. They charged minimal amount. We imagined they could have price gouged us but they didn't. There are still good guys around! My son had SERIOUS car trouble. We had his car towed to Good Guys, and although the solution was not what we were hoping to hear, we appreciated the honesty they provided and their very quick response to looking at his car. I have been going here for years. the guys are so nice and I can count on them to never screw me over. i recently had to go for something, of course I didn't know what, but I knew it was very serious, like need a new car serious. they could have told me anything, but it was as simple as a rotten rodent, squirrel, put a walnut somewhere under the hood that made the gas stay on and no amount of braking would stop the car. I had the gas and the brake pushed down squealing down the street, I was so scared. I knew my car was dying and I would probably die too. I took my vehicle here based upon previous reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was less than good, far less. I feel the very best review I can write is that this business/owner is out to make money, as fast, and as much as he possibly can. You can't look for than 2 feet any direction around the reception area without seeing some signage noting minimum charges, extra charges, and any other charges they can possibly think of to add to your experience. I'm not sure how good their work is as I didn't bother to find out. I didn't want to be treated like a well-stocked ATM for them to pilfer. There are many other good, honest, and fair business's in the area to support instead, and I suggest we do that. read more

They tell me to bring oin my coach and they would the work and then hold my coach for an extra day and leaves me a message that he is insulted.. We were from out of town and my passenger side cv joint busted. My husband had called around to see if he could get the part because he was going to fix it himself. So nervous about being over charged, going to a mechanic that wasn't experienced and that wasn't a dealership I felt sick. After having no luck finding the part. I called them right at 8:00am and they were able to get me in as soon as we could get there! Not only was the price fantastic they were all very honest, friendly and helpful. These guys do transmission work, got quotes from several places. Right off the bat when I walked in I could tell by the first interaction it was going to be the place I would choose. Friendly and professional. Turned out they had a factory transmission in stock for my van! Better price than any other place that quoted me. Hooked up a couple transmission coolers too boot, and been smooth towing ever since. Owner stopped in during service and was super friendly. Even brought me back to show what went wrong with the old transmission, pointing out inside the unit that was apart on the work bench. Interesting stuff. Professional is the right word. I later told a family member who was my mechanic until he retired about the experience and confirmed that Goodguys does top notch work and the owner is a great guy. Highly recommend! read more

We were 3000 miles from our home in Southern California, and the propane regulator on our motorhome started leaking. A bad propane regulator is a sad thing. Not only is it dangerous, nearly everything in the motorhome uses propane. The stove, hot water, furnace, generator, even the fridge, all use propane. So we can't go without propane for long. Adding to the sadness is the fact that when we're traveling, the motorhome is both our home and our car. If it's in the shop, we're in the shop with it. Or else we're in a sleazy motel somewhere, with no way to get around. Anyway, about these guys. When the propane started leaking, we were in northern Ohio, about to leave for Niagara Falls. So I called these guys at 10 am, told them what was going on, and asked if they could look at it at about 3 pm. The guy said "yes, of course." So we sped from Ohio to New York. Got there about 2:30. Walked in the door. He got to it within about 15 minutes, and had the system tested, diagnosed, and everything fixed and buttoned up in just over an hour. For a very reasonable price. The place was in a sketchy, sketchy neighborhood, but the people who worked here were all very professional. Can't ask for more than that. read more

I called and requested pricing on strut repairs for my 2008 Dodge Charger without an Alignment because I have free lifetime alignments with Firestone. She told me to just go to Firestone to get the strut repair and slammed the phone in my face without giving me pricing. I would never spend my money at this place! These guys do good work at a reasonable price with incredible speed. We were vacationing in the area when our brake calipers seized up. I was concerned about trying to drive all the way to Chicago with brakes that were squeaking. I pulled in at 2 pm in Saturday when all other places were closed. I was worried if they couldn't help me we"d be stuck in NY until Monday. They were busy with other jobs but got me diagnosed in 15 minutes. Then they did a complete brake replacement on the rear pads and rotors, and serviced the calipers in less than an hour and for a very fair price. Thank you guys!! read more

We experienced engine trouble while on an extended road trip. Seeing warning lights on the dash that I'd never seen before, I quickly looked for a diesel mechanic in Niagara Falls and found the Goodguys. They were quick, friendly, fairly priced and sent us down the street for a great sandwich while they worked on our RoadTrek. These guys saved the day for us!! We drove through Michigan into Canada, then decided to stay on the USA side to visit Niagara Falls. Thank goodness we did! Right at the border our car started overheating. We rolled into our hotel and looked for a repair shop. The good guys saved the day! They quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the papers, fixed the problem and even changed our oil! We're back on our road trip after three days in Niagara Falls. Thank you good guys!! read more

After 4 lovely days in Niagara Falls on both sides of the border, our van suddenly would not shift past the third gear. We drove on 35 MPH back to the hotel in Niagara Falls from Toronto. We really did not want to have to do that all the way back to VA. Checked online and saw the reviews for Good Guys so I called early Saturday morning hoping they open. The answer machine already gave me comfort since they had a phone number for stranded out-of-towners!!! Wow - can't tell you how great that was. Roy, the owner answered the phone. Told me to take it to the shop and TJ will take care of me. Once you get there, you can clearly see that the whole group really cares about their work and prioritize stranded out of towners so that they can get home. Roy arrived a little later and got started working on out van himself. Need more comfort? What is more comforting than the guy who has 20 years experience and is working on the weekend tell you that he WILL NOT LEAVE until the car is fixed? Those guys are God sent. They are not just good - they are great technically, great manners and great prices. You would think that they might jack up the price since you are stuck on a weekend 7 hour- drive from home. Not those guys. Sitting there for 4 hours, I saw them treat everybody this way. A dude came in late but just because he was from out of town, they took his car in and got it fixed by the time I was leaving. If I had to detail every good thing they did the review would be just too long. Bottom line - if you need a mechanic go there. Niagara Falls people- you are lucky! Thank you Roy, TJ and Andrea. I wish all mechanics were like this. P.S. They open on Sat till 4 PM and will stay later for you if they had to.
