While visiting Bethlehem Pennsylvania, looking for a mid afternoon bite to eat. Located on East…read moreBroad Street, in the heart of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania We found Mediterranean Grill. There's ample parking in front of the building. The restrooms are handicap, accessible The atmosphere is decorated with a beautiful Mediterranean theme, florals , wood themed throughout , greenery, and plants. Great for date night as well. Greeted via a wonderful gentleman Fred , who is also the owner of Mediterranean Grill. He seated us immediately. He took our order we decided to go with a chicken Shawarma wrap And lamb Shawar. Both had a beautiful presentation. We ordered a side dish of grape leaves and a hummus dip. The dip was amazing, smooth and creamy and flavorful, and the grape leaves had just the right touch of flavor, rolled to perfection. The chicken Shawarma was lightly seasoned with a garlic cream sauce. The lamb Shawarma was equally just as good and flavorful. The dessert was a Osmayli - creamy and delicious, not too heavy . The prices are reasonable. When I visit Bethlehem Pennsylvania again I would definitely stop by here and if you are here, I say stop by give it a try you will not be disappointed and you will thank me later Say hello to Fred

The staff were knowledgeable and welcoming. And the food was spot on! I had the chicken kabob and my wife had the lentil soup with a side of roasted veggies. Everything was flavorful without feeling too heavy. A very satisfying experience!!!

Peanut and Tree-nut Allergy Safe…read more Food was delicious and fresh. Everything we ordered was hot coming out, and tasted great. Waiter was friendly, helpful and it did not take long to get our food. I have a lethal Peanut and tree-nut allergy and had no issues eating here or communicating with the staff. At the time I came the only thing that has nuts is the deserts, so I was able to pick from the whole menu when it came to food and not worry about entree cross contamination which was a delightful surprise. This includes their vegetarian options which were also nut free. I am excited to go back and try more of their menu.

I'm providing this honest review as a constructive feedback for improvement…read more We came across this place online but were only able to try it recently...I was honestly disappointed by many things: First, when a place advertises shawarma meat and posts videos of the famous Lebanese shawarma revolving cone that grills the marinated meat as the cone turns, you would expect that the shawarma plate you order is an authentic shawarma meat cut off the shawarma cone...unfortunately, this was not the case at cafe baladi. I respect the owner who's advertising authentic homemade Lebanese food but the shawarma meat we got was not an authentic shawarma meat...this was meat that was cooked either in a pan or in the oven and was not tender because it was not probably marinated and it's not grilled on the shawarma cone. Placed that have the famous shawarma cone you can usually see in the restaurant either behind the counter or through a window in the back - this was not the case. Second the plate included the choice of hummus or baba ghannouj and tabbouleh...we picked baba ghannouj and we got the tabbouleh...again, the baba ghannouj did not taste at all authentic nor homemade...it tasted like the baba ghannouj in a conserved can that you find in grocery stores. Authentic baba ghannouj is made from grilled eggplant tahini lemon juice and salt. Third, the Lebanese tabboule is made from finely chopped vegetables (parsley, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice, and burgul). Unfortunately again this tabbouleh was not finely chopped and it lacked the burgul. We were really disappointed. The only positive thing was that the service was quick.

Been off a few months because not much worth dining out for around here. Decided to get delivery…read morefrom The Garden and I'm immediately regretting it. Not sure who cooks this food, but it was quite possibly the most disgusting worst food I've ever had. Not an ounce of seasoning on anything, and barely anything resembling culture. Ordered chicken shawarma platter, no tzatziki, hummus on the side, rice on the side. Also ordered musakahn rolls, chicken shawarma flat bread, and mujadara. The chicken all across the board was dry as a rock, room temperature, completely tasteless, and crunchy like it was days old. I didn't get the musakahn roll, I got veggie spring rolls instead. They were soggy in the middle and greasy. The chicken shawarma flatbread, I have no idea what the heck they gave me, but it wasn't what I ordered. The menu says comes with chicken, tahini, pickled radish, and toum. What I got was the same days old dry as a rock flavorless chicken with tomatoes, salad, mayo, ketchup, and parsley on it. The mujadara was fine, just basmati rice with some lentils topped with not cooked enough onions. I asked for one toum and one hummus on the side, but the restaurant gave me five toums, five tahinis, five hummus, and five hot sauce. I didn't ask for all that so it shouldn't have sent. My wife didn't eat her food. I scraped some chicken off the flatbread and had a few spoons of rice. Everything else went into the trash. Also, the toum isn't toum, it's mayo with garlic. At least try please. Can't compete or compare with NYC style Halal food, not even remotely.
