Bismillah. This place is very nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the atmosphere. Light woods with charcoal accents[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I honestly felt underdressed but hey I'm traveling for work. Well I seated immediately as this was a Tuesday night. Crowd seemed local. I ordered the haleema with fig and Samke Hara a braised fish dish. The cheese with fig jam was seasoned well with a nice char. It was delicious. Well when the Samke Hara arrived I was ready. And I wasn't disappointed. The pilaf was tender, and the fish was ever so delicately prepared. It was like butter. Alhumdulillah. Enjoy.

Greatly enjoyed a lovely set-menu Lebanese dinner at Li Beirut. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room is lovely and, when full, energetic, though the service is both attentive and low key.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can feel that it's family-owned-and-operated. The 3-course set menu was great--we had three in our dinner party, so we automatically received 8 mezze + paper-thin pita (refilled without asking when the staff saw we were running low) to share, we each picked 1 of 10 entrees, and each chose 1 of 3 desserts for the final course. Some of the mezze (all delicious!): fattoush salad, hummus, baba ghannouj, labne, mouhamara, warak enab bel zeit, soujouk, batata harra. I had the Mixed Grill for One, which allowed me to try the Shish Taouk (grilled marinated chicken with special garlic sauce), Shish Kebab (grilled marinated filet mignon), Lamb Chop with grilled onion, tomato, jalapeño, roasted potatoes. And for dessert, I chose the cotton candy (halva floss) ice cream with pistachios (another diner had the rose water milk pudding)--both desserts had great flavor in the toppings, but little flavor in the ice cream/pudding. P.S. BYOB + a wine list, if you're so inclined.

We had the course meal and it was overall tasty and absolutely filling. It was fun to have a variety of sauces and the desserts were unique. The course meal is on the pricier side. Overall a unique experience to have for a special occasion. Service was quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is in door and outdoor seating that can accommodate large groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Family owned restaurant in Collingswood, NJ. Very cozy and comfortable inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owners and their son are very present and work hard to make sure that your time, the food and overall experience is top notch. They offer a "Taste of Lebanon" option, for two or four plus guests for $55 per person. The menu consists of a nice assortment of mezza dishes, a main and a choice of desserts. They also offer a nice selection of local wines by the glass or bottle (great value). The main menu has quite a nice selection, if you care to order separately. I recommend the taste menu if this is your first visit, or experience with Lebanese cuisine. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Lots of food! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the service, food, and ambience were very satisfying.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recommend this restaurant.

Another hidden gem we just found!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have plenty of seating but they do take reservations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We both got their $55 tasting menu. It was so much food, we had leftovers. The grilled branzino was our favorite. The staff was super nice and friendly. They kept refilling our pita for our toddler. It's BYOB too!

Whew, what a feast. Li Beirut, located in the old IndeBlue space on Collings Ave. in Collingswood, is a welcoming restaurant with reasonably priced Lebanese cuisine. A friend recommended the tasting menu, but the items I really wanted to try weren't part of it so I opted against it. However, I will definitely go back and try the tasting menu sometime! I ordered their rose drink to start, which was nice and very sweet. For my cold mezza, I ordered the delightful and light Chankleesh (Feta cheese, onion, tomato, zaatar) and also tried some of my friend's Fassolia, which was also tasty. From the hot mezza, I ordered the grilled halloumi cheese with fig jam. Soooo good. Maybe the highlight for me. As my main, I selected the beef shawarma, which was really well done. Service did take a while, especially toward the end when we wanted to order desserts to go and grab our check. One of the ladies working let the owner know that we had been waiting a long time (we hadn't said anything about it but it was pretty obvious) and he brought us over a dessert (the Ghazal Beirut) on the house! Such a sweet gesture, albeit unnecessary. We appreciated it regardless. Li Beirut will be on my to-return list for the next time I'm in South Jersey. Highly recommend checking them out.

What a great meal once again! The prix fix tasting menu is awesome. All of the dips and meats were so tasty. There was nothing that was bad. The staff is so impressive and friendly. Definitely a destination for all you foodies.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came in on a night when it was a full house. I liked the music coming in, but once you get inside it's drowned out by the noise of all the patrons.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The night we came was also the $55 preset menu. So you receive an order of appetizers and then got to choose your entree and dessert. Everything was great, it was just a lot of food for 2 people. The beef shawarma and lamb chops were excellent choices. Definitely got a box to go. They have parking on site which makes it convenient as it's on a Main Street.

Met up with a friend for a girls night. Right from the top, there's parking so you don't have to drive around and find a place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were one of the first people to arrive after opening and the atmosphere was so cozy and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We sat by the window and were immediately taken care of. The menu is simple and easy to navigate. We ordered a couple of mezze to share and then entrees. The hummus is delicious and an absolute must. I ordered the shish taouk - the toum was so tasty! Finished with the ghazal Beirut dessert - sooooooooo good. Can't stop thinking about it now.

Hummus, baba ghannouj, labne, among others.

Easy 5 star review. Don't even have to think twice about it. My girlfriend and I came here for the first time on a Friday night and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We will be raving about this place for quite some time, I'm sure. We had a reservation for 7:15 and were given our choice of tables when we arrived. We had the choice of the large, airy and sunny front room, or the darker, smaller and more intimate back room. We chose the latter. We both ordered the taste of Lebanon for $55 per person which was phenomenal. It's a lot of money but worth every penny. First, the portions. Have you ever run an ultramarathon and worked up such an appetite that you gorged yourself afterwards? Have you ever been lost in the woods for weeks, on the brink of starvation, then brought to an all-you-can-eat buffet when the ordeal was over? Have you ever gone toe to toe with Joey Chestnut in a hotdog eating competition? None of those scenarios will come close to the amount of food you get at Li Beirut. We were stuffed by the end and practically needed a forklift to get us out of the building. Second, the taste. The amount of flavors and textures on our table throughout the meal was otherworldly, each one rich and decadent and perfectly prepared. I can't remember the last time I ate so well. Third, the overall atmosphere. Such a beautifully decorated space. Attentive and friendly staff. We never felt rushed and I'm sure we could have sat there all night talking and finishing our wine had we not finally asked for the check. Phenomenal restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

Peanut and Tree-nut Allergy Safe…read more Food was delicious and fresh. Everything we ordered was hot coming out, and tasted great. Waiter was friendly, helpful and it did not take long to get our food. I have a lethal Peanut and tree-nut allergy and had no issues eating here or communicating with the staff. At the time I came the only thing that has nuts is the deserts, so I was able to pick from the whole menu when it came to food and not worry about entree cross contamination which was a delightful surprise. This includes their vegetarian options which were also nut free. I am excited to go back and try more of their menu.

I'm providing this honest review as a constructive feedback for improvement…read more We came across this place online but were only able to try it recently...I was honestly disappointed by many things: First, when a place advertises shawarma meat and posts videos of the famous Lebanese shawarma revolving cone that grills the marinated meat as the cone turns, you would expect that the shawarma plate you order is an authentic shawarma meat cut off the shawarma cone...unfortunately, this was not the case at cafe baladi. I respect the owner who's advertising authentic homemade Lebanese food but the shawarma meat we got was not an authentic shawarma meat...this was meat that was cooked either in a pan or in the oven and was not tender because it was not probably marinated and it's not grilled on the shawarma cone. Placed that have the famous shawarma cone you can usually see in the restaurant either behind the counter or through a window in the back - this was not the case. Second the plate included the choice of hummus or baba ghannouj and tabbouleh...we picked baba ghannouj and we got the tabbouleh...again, the baba ghannouj did not taste at all authentic nor homemade...it tasted like the baba ghannouj in a conserved can that you find in grocery stores. Authentic baba ghannouj is made from grilled eggplant tahini lemon juice and salt. Third, the Lebanese tabboule is made from finely chopped vegetables (parsley, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice, and burgul). Unfortunately again this tabbouleh was not finely chopped and it lacked the burgul. We were really disappointed. The only positive thing was that the service was quick.

Rather than immediately posting a public review, I contacted management privately because I believed they deserved the opportunity to address the situation professionaly. Their initial response was that they would review the incident internally. After I followed up, they specifically offered to send me a complete ingredient list for everything we ordered so I could review it with my healthcare provider. I accepted that offer but, the ingredient list was never sent. Months later, there has still been no meaningful follow-up. My frustration isn't about demanding compensation or proving what caused the reaction. It's about customer care and accountability. Making promises that are never fulfilled leaves the impression that guest concerns only matter until the bill is paid. Once our $471 tab was settled, the commitment to help simply disappeared. The food and atmosphere may attract people, but how a restaurant responds when something goes wrong is what defines its hospitality. Unfortunately, based on my experience, the follow-through did not match the promises made, and I can't recommend a restaurant that handled a serious guest safety concern this way. Its NYC, 1000s of restaurants will charge less serve higher quality ingredients and treat you with greater hospitality, and this place is located in midtown east.
