Super bummed about zales nowadays! I've been coming here for years! The customer has declined a lot! I understand being short staff but the fact that I stood waiting to get help for 15 mins and never once did I get acknowledged. Not even a simple, hello... we will be with you shortly is beyond me. Where has common curiosity gone? Now the lady with the glasses was literally helping a lady and very engaged with her but the other lady could've have easily said something bc she was literally helping a customer but typing on the computer for 10 mins... enter codes for several Receipts. She could've easily said something to me. I don't mind waiting... I get being understaffed but when you can't take 5 seconds to acknowledge your customers, then that's just sad . I found a ring I liked online and went into the store to purchase. When I picked up the ring there were several imperfections with the ring. I'll include pictures. A prong was sticking up and there was a hole on the side of the ring. I asked to return the ring while I was in the store picking up. The store manager tried but the system wasn't updating and I couldn't return the ring. She asked me to wait 24-48 hours for the system to update. I returned to the store after a few days and was told it still hasn't updated & I couldn't get my money back. They offered a gift card or check that would take 3 weeks to get. That's obviously not acceptable! I paid debit and wanted my money back sooner than 3 weeks. They told me to return in a few days and see if the system updated. Because it was an online exclusive item the order wasn't pulling up in their system. I called corporate after not being satisfied with the service I was receiving. Corporate told me the same thing!!!! I'm all for store policy, but when it's inconveniencing a customer and the fault is on the store/manufacturer of the defective ring, I think something should have been done to override the system & exception!! I will never do business at ZALES every again!! Jewelers costs a lot of money & customers should be reimbursed appropriately and on time when shopping for high priced items. I waited 6 days and was finally able to return. I had to wait an additional 3 days for my bank to get the money back(not their fault). This low rating is for the product quality and speed of the jewelers they send their product to for repair. I went in looking for a duplicate of a couple rings I found in silver. I wanted them in gold, not silver. The quickly found something I thought was perfect. I purchased & we sent it off for sizing. I picked it up a a couple of weeks later & gave it as a gift the following day. The very next day my daughter showed me that the ring was turning her finger green & black. I immediately took it back to Zales & that was when I found out the ring they sold me was actually half sterling half rose gold. Because my daughter fell in love with it, I was willing to overlook the lies as long as they fixed the situation. Once again the took the ring and promised it would be rushed. They promised extra rhodium, extra cleaning & polishing. When I got it back a few days later, the pick up ticket said " Soldering". I brought it up to Zales staff immediately and was told that they didn't know why the ticket said that. My daughter put the ring on and a few hours later her finger was covered in black & green. Do you know how it feels to give an expensive jewelry gift to someone only to have them tell you TWICE that the ring is turning their fingers colors?! It's embarrassing. It's humiliating. It looks to her like I bought fake jewelry and tried to pass it off as real. Turns out it's Zales who is selling their customers crap. PURE CRAP. I got my money back & now we're looking for a REAL GOLD replacement. Believe me, you are gambling with your money here. I INSTALLED YELP JUST FOR THIS!!! Be careful doing business here. Don't give them cash to apply to your account because they might lose it or apply to a closed account you previously had. I paid off my account at Temecula promenade location and they did just that. It's been almost a month now and my balance owed is still there and growing because of late fees. $1800 lost in there system while my credit is potentially getting affected. I call customer service and they tell me to go to location. I go to store and they say they have to call customer service. I ask for my cash back and they say they can't do that. Came into this Zales for the first time yesterday my husband had just bought me a Movado watch from Costco and needed to get it sized.. so just walked into Zales and was first greeted by all the girls there.. even though they were all busy with other customers they still took time out to help us.. they asked if we bought the watch there we said no, but they were still gracious in helping us size the watch.. we were referred to DIANA I believe she was the manager and did all the sizing she was awesome quick and efficient and we were in and out of there in 5 mins.. My fiancée bought my ring here in April, proposed to me Memorial Day weekend (end of May) and two weeks ago I looked down and realized one of my diamonds had fallen out. About 2.5 months after he proposed. I don't wear the ring to bed, in the shower, during exercise... I don't get why this happened. However, this review is not entirely because of that. This review is for whoever their jeweler is... I took the ring in immediately and the nice people at the store took a photo of the ring with the missing diamond, marked down what was missing, that I needed them to replace the diamond, and check ALL of the prongs to ensure no more diamonds fall out any time soon. A week and a half later, I got a call from the store telling me my ring was back and it was ready to pick up. I showed up today, drove half an hour... and the girl got my ring out of the drawer, only to find that the diamond had never been replaced! The ring was cleaned, but the diamond wasn't replaced! They had no idea what happened, and now it has to go back to this jeweler. Where's the quality control? Why didn't the girl who left me a voicemail check the ring? The manager assured me that she would personally deliver the ring to the jeweler and that I would have it by Tuesday, but I'm really upset. I just got engaged, and I want to wear my ring! First world problems, I know. But this jeweler really screwed up, and now I won't have my ring when I go dress shopping tomorrow and I'll have to go back again and get my in a few days... hopefully they actually fix things this time. **update** it is now Tuesday and they do not have my ring. Recently I purchased 2 items at this location. Although they have some nice items, I am extremely dissatisfied with their repair times and work. It shouldn't take over a month to repair a ring. I love the two items from there, but dread having to go back again for further repairs. A ring should have to be repaired twice in 8 months of which I've only been able to wear it for 6 of 8 months due to being in repair. NEVER COME HERE! We walked in to look at wedding bands and this lady forced herself to remove my fiancé engagement ring off her hand ensuring she was going to clean it. Violently brushing the ring with a toothbrush, which should never be done scratched the platinum band. I'm absolutely furious this happened. There is nothing we can do as by the way this represent handled the care of the band I doubt management will even respond as these shops are all over so I'm sure they will just shut down and move on as they don't care about the clients. To all our there I urge u to never waste time or money at a Zales. Reading other reviews I see that they are reparable for one thing and one thing only, terrible reviews. Been here a few times and they cleaned my wedding rings fairly well. However, last week my husband went in to size his wedding ring. They sized it within a couple of days and we went home and it fit great and looked polished. A few days later we noticed they polished the engraving that was inside of the ring!! It was something very symbolic written in Farsi before our wedding day 8 years ago that we both have (had)!! Today I took it in and explained how this was sentimental for us and difficult to replace. They simply looked at it, apologized and referred us to someone that may (of May not) be able to replace the inscribing in San Diego. I told them I had to let them know so that they do NOT do this to someone else. ...and we were in our way. They didn't offer a cleaning or anything! We've been coming to this location for a little over a year now. Even when we moved back to our hometown for a year we didn't step foot into another jewelers. From the very beginning I've had great luck with their workers. Chris was the first person to ever help us, he was patient was wasn't quiet like most employees elsewhere. He talked to us and got to know my fiancé a little more than most people try to do when they're working. Fast forward to now a year later Chris is no longer at this location so we've been purchasing with Yesenia. She's exactly like Chris in the aspect that they both actually want to converse with their clients & she was too very patient with us especially since we have our son who loves to run around the store. Will definitely continue coming to this location. Also they're warranty is great! So if you ever lose a diamond the only way they won't replace it is if you don't have it. read more

My fiance purchased my ring here. Let me just start by saying that the staff we have worked with at the escondido location was great as well as the man at the temecula location who transferred form escondido. ( i am so sorry i cannot remember your name). My ring is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, this is where the good news ended. I had gone in to have my ring soldered together a few months back and this is where the nightmare started.. I have had to send my ring back 5 times not and they have had to replace the whole ring once. It kept coming back crooked and scratched and not aligned. each time i have sent it back i have had to wait weeks for it back only to face heart ache again when it was was wrong. This last time i went in to have it fixed it wasnt sized corrrectly and the sales rep marty was frustrated with me when i was upset because i literally could not get the ring on. She looked at me and asked me if i wanted lotion!!! i could not believe what i had just heard.. no i do not want lotion to squeeze it on i want my WEDDING RING to fit. I was so upset. The lovely man from escondido came over and helped me right away. He could tell how upset i was and knew me from escondido and had the jeweler rush my ring to have it fixed by the next day. He is the only reason( and that i love my ring ) that i gave 3 stars. Oh and on top of all the screw ups and having to send my ring back, they made me pay for the soldering and never refunding the money even though it was done wrong 5 times.
