I want to start by saying my wife had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. There is a possibility that the company itself is still good, but unfortunately one employee completely ruined the experience for us. My wife was gifted older jewelry from her grandmother and wanted to have it appraised and possibly resized -- approximately 25 items. She booked the appointment online and was never informed of any appraisal or handling fees. When my wife, her cousin, and I arrived, we received no warm welcome whatsoever. We were about 15 minutes late due to being new to the area and accidentally going to the wrong location, and we apologized immediately. From that moment on, the older brunette woman who assisted us was rude and dismissive. There was no small talk, responses were short and snippy, and the overall customer service was very poor. When my wife asked for an estimate to sell some items and have a bracelet repaired and cleaned, the employee scoffed and said, "Just so you know, this is exactly why I asked how many items you had -- because we charge a fee." I explained that this fee should have been mentioned upfront or charged when the appointment was booked online. I also expressed that she had been rude since we walked in and made us feel completely unwelcome. Management may want to address customer service expectations with this employee. We had every intention of doing business here, but her attitude alone made us decide otherwise. read more

I first visited Diamonds by Monet a few years ago to have a ring resized, and they did a great job. Because of that positive experience, my husband and I chose to return when shopping for my wedding band. I found a band I loved and wore it for our wedding in June. Unfortunately, shortly after, diamonds began falling out. Initially, the store replaced the missing stones, but the issue kept happening. By December, after multiple repairs, I expressed my concern that a brand-new wedding ring should not require constant fixes. They offered to replace the ring entirely, which I appreciated. From December through April, everything seemed fine--until another diamond fell out. At that point, my frustration had reached its limit. When I returned, I was told I would need to pay for the repair because the damage was considered "wear and tear," and therefore my responsibility. I haven't even had this ring for a full year. This is my wedding band--something I should be able to wear daily without worrying about losing diamonds. I was also told they would pay me around $75 for the gold if I chose to sell it back. We ended up taking the ring to another jeweler--the same one who sold my engagement ring--and were told that we had significantly overpaid and that the ring's quality did not justify its price. Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. We spent a significant amount of money at this store including on a ring that has caused nothing but frustration, and I now feel unable to wear my own wedding band out of fear that more diamonds will fall out. read more

Morgen and Marie were so friendly and answered all my questions that i had. I was looking around for sizing and was going to look at some other places first, but came here first. Reason was... 1) They replied quickly when I put a search out looking for sizing and cleaning and offered free consultation. 2) Upon arrival, they were super friendly and answered all my questions and concerns. ( we all have sentimental values about our jewelry at least I do) 3) Most importantly, they do all their work in shop, so they don't send it off and that was so important to me. I don't like when places send off my precious items to third companies, that's how things go missing. So that was a win! I got my grandmother 50th diamond band resized, my diamond ring got bent in a kitchen accident and had all three pieces re- coated in rhodium and cleaned up. This was Friday morning and they said it would be done Monday morning. A few hours later they called me. I was shocked! I was like are you sure you have the right person? Sure enough they did!! Never seen my grandmothers ring so beautiful and shiny, let alone mine! It had been 20 years and I don't remember it being that shiny lol! Zero stars DIAMONDS BY MONET!!! If you love your jewelry and don't want it damaged, run as fast as you can from them!!!! I took an antique diamond and tourmaline ring into Diamonds by Monet about 2 weeks ago just for ring resizing. At the advice (or blatant upselling) of the sales lady, I had the prongs re-tipped. ($300 -overpriced). On my first time picking the ring up, the prongs weren't touching the surface of the ring and were snagging one everything. I took it back, and the end result is that it is FAR WORSE and the ring now needs major repairs .. they even damaged my stone and didn't set the stone back centered. The sales lady (Brenda I believe) was so hesitant to tell me what happened.. she knew they'd screwed up, but I got it out of her. She said the jeweler couldn't get the prongs right and needed more time to try and fix it (which the prongs now look like melted limp penises and aren't even spaced or in the correct position) and apparently they said the ring is a nightmare for the jeweler and wanted to try more to fix the prongs but the owner said, "no, don't spend more time on it. Leave it as it is and give it back to the client." I assume they thought I wouldn't notice! So, you're telling me that you KNOW it's atrocious work and not finished but don't fix it!?!? Remember, I paid $300. They did begrudgingly refund my money, but this isn't about the money. It's about the damage they caused to a perfectly fine ring that I loved prior to them working on it. I spoke to the owner today and he wanted nothing to do with helping other than let his jeweler try again (sorry, but your jeweler couldn't fix it the first time, and a second attempt made it WORSE, so how/why could I trust you!?!? ) I feel like they are responsible for damages and he wanted nothing of that and just hung up on me without taking any responsibility or even an apology. Never ever go to Diamonds by Monet! Run from this shitty business! read more

To be honest, the amount I was quoted was higher than I was expecting, but it did include some necessary building up of several prongs holding the rubies. This family owned shop is located in the Trader Joe's shopping center off Winchester in Temecula. You'll find them right next door to Bushfire Kitchen. I went in and there was a customer ahead of me, but he was on his way out. I walked up to the counter and the nice lady asked how she could help. I told her I thought my battery needed to be replaced. She said, "Oh, okay, it'll be $15. I can do it right now." Sweet! I was thinking I would drop it off and pick it up after my workout, but she was done within 5 minutes. Highly recommend this shop. Employees are very friendly and they have some pretty nice bling for sale, too. I might have to treat myself!
