This was my first visit to this restaurant. I met a friend here for happy hour and was not disappointed. There is a happy hour menu, which includes three dollars off of shareable and special pricing for old-fashioned and margaritas. I ordered the salmon with brussel sprouts and it was delicious. My friend had the prime rib sliders, and she enjoyed them as well. Our waitress was very kind and service was very prompt. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to try it. Came on a Monday , around 7pm it wasn't too packed . Got seated and greeted fast. I got a lavender French 75 to drink which was different for me but it was pretty good . I got the chop with the green chile Mac and cheese , the chop was very very good ,nice taste also juiciness and the jalapeño peach jam was a really good pair . The Mac and cheese was a little too watery but flavor was good , I did appreciate them trying to make the cheese a little more to my liking . It wasn't very loud at all read more

We've been to Crain a few times now and we've loved each experience. It's a cute sit down venue with plenty of space and light. The service has always been enjoyable! The staff know exactly what to recommend and we've never been steered wrong. Their prime rib is probably my favorite item on the menu. It is such a great meal for the price. It's cooked perfectly, is a large portion, and has great flavor for the Au Ju. We also lovedddd the beef stroganoff! It was a special item of the week when we first tried it and we were happy to see it became part of the regular menu when we came back a second time. Their poutine fries are apparently one of their most popular items. I'm usually not a fan of poutine fries, but my husband really wanted to try it and I'm glad I agreed because they were phenomenal! Not mushy and weird like normal poutine fries at other places. The sauces complemented the crispy fries very well. Overall this became one of our favorite spots to just pop in and grab a meal at while our daughter was in the NICU nearby. We will be making it a staple going forward! read more

We love The Crain sooo much. Honestly we thought it would be just a bar with casual eats but they have a pretty diverse menu. We love the 2 chicken - it has the best of both worlds of fried and grilled. 10/10!! We also really like their wings as an appetizer. If you sit at the bar the bartenders actually engage with you and even will write you name on a piece of paper so they can formally acknowledge you. There's maybe 1-2 dozen seatings, two large booths and the scattered tables and bar tables. Couldn't see very well, but in the back looked like some just sofa seating, maybe for relaxing? The mood is dark and intimate, perfect for drinks and lounging. Staff is attentive and efficient, we were seated immediately. The Peppers were delicious, maybe a tad sweet. The Wedge Salad was good. Their Prime Rib is their signature dish, which was also good. There were parts that were tough and chewy, but the parts that were tender were delectable. The combination of the raw horseradish with au'jus sauce is to die for. Don't get the Flash Fried Spinach, tasted like tissue paper. The Pork Chop was the star of the night, tender and juicy. A gathering of friends to celebrate two birthdays! What a fun time! The Perfect Margarita's were just that . . . Perfect! We started out with the Guacamole & Salsa I really enjoyed the Guac! Great Appetizer! I chose the Rueben and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend this sandwich, I wasn't really impressed with the fries they were just - meh! My wife chose the one of the daily specials the Rib Eye. She would have preferred one that was less charred but she did eat the entire steak! It was my wife's birthday and she chose the Creme Brûlée - excellent choice. Definitely a great place to meet up with friends for Drinks & Dinner! On a busy Friday night, they were able to seat our party of 6 pretty quickly! The cute waitress was super happy, friendly and gave us great service. My Club Special was extra good . I tried the sliders, so much food! I ate 2 and shared 2. For a side, I tried the Fried Green Tomatoes. Very yummy, again, too large a serving but sharing is always fun. My husband's grouper was tough, he gave it a C minus. This place is alittle noisy. Not sure if it's the glass windows or what it is but everyone is talking loud and laughing so I guess that really isn't a problem. We'll be back, soon. read more

A fairly new place close to our house. This was the first time that we went and we were able to get in. The rest of the time it's been busy with over an hour wait. The service was good and he was very attentive. The recommendations to try different appetizers and sides were great. The fried green tomatoes were off the charts. The brussels sprouts were good but the mushrooms are delicious. Food overall was good. Steak was cooked as asked but lots of fat on the steak. Dogs loved that part. Chicken stand which was both g spectacular and mac and cheese was good but didn't knock your socks off. I would try it again because maybe I didn't order the right item but would eat the fried green tomatoes again. The place itself was clean and well designed. I'm not a wine drinker, but it was delicious, we enjoyed our wine without being rushed to order. After viewing the food menu, we decided to go with the Shareables: Prime Rib sliders, and the green chili mac & cheese. The prime rib sliders come with 5 sliders served on a toasted buttery slider bun with thinly sliced prime rib, and I believe it was provolone cheese - beautiful presentation. That included au jus and creamy horseradish.The prime rib sliders melted in your mouth absolutely delicious!! We also ordered the green chili Mac & cheese - white creamy cheese sauce with finely chopped green chili's combined with perfectly cooked macaroni. Our server Emily, gave excellent customer service! I absolutely enjoyed my experience here and will make this a regular place I visit! I came in around 5ish on a Wednesday and the place was already packed. The hostess was nice enough to place an extra chair at the bar for me. The bartenders were very nice and I enjoyed my drinks. They were quick and always making sure I had what I needed/wanted. For my meal I had the chicken 2 ways which is one of their most popular dishes and I am so glad I did because it was delicious! For my side I had the green chili mac and it was amazing! The wait was a little long but everyone was very nice and accommodating while we waited. The food came out in a very timely manner and everything was made well. The food was pretty good. The food menu is on the smaller side, but they have a large selection of bar drinks. It was a little loud so if you're hard of hearing it may be a little difficult to converse. We have visited The Crain several times in the last six months. Love their happy hour deals from 2-6 pm everyday. After being open only after a year or so, it nice to see that sometimes their is a wait on tables ( usually less than 10 minutes) good sign to me that the place has repeat business, which shows that the food is good and prices are great.
