Got my hair done here a while ago -- so long ago that I don't even remember who did it. Either way though, amazing experience and my hair turned out amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality hair upgrade whether it's just a cut or color! Super pricey, but that's what ya get when you color your whole head and I know it'll be pricey anywhere I go. I'm looking to get my hair dyed to a lighter brown like this again, but currently live in VA, so I'm on the search to find someone who can do this again around me. read more

No no no no! Save your money! Save your HAIR! The staff is RUDE! I came in asking for exactly what I knew I wanted! The stylist fought me every step of the way! The cut, the color! They charged me $210 for a cut and color when I left the same color I came in as! I even asked for more layers and the girl goes "you asked for long layers, I gave you long layers". No ma'am all you did was trim my hair. Horrible experience! They charged me extra for having thick hair and needed an extra bowl of "color" which never even dyed my hair! Horrible. What can I say I've enjoyed my hair journey with the owner Amie before she owned her own salon, I always said i will follow her to any location. I once had very long hair and i will never go back. Amie is a beautiful soul full of ambition who always learning new technics and I admire her for it. She's the true definition of a hairstylists with skills. Her staff is wonderful they will always make you feel welcomed and once you step through the door you have enter a day of no worries, what we need when getting dolled up. Not only do I go to Amie but so does my daughter ( who is loyal to Amie) and my mother fell in love with her as well. Any of the ladies at the boutique will not disappoint you. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I made an appointment with this girl PAHOLA, and I specifically told her that I wanted curtain bangs and she said she knew how to do it, I even showed her a video of another stylist cutting it but she didn't even try doing it right, at the end she left my left bang WAY shorter than the right one and only bothered to say "don't worry I'm not charging you for the bang trim" while the rest of the staff did NOTHING or even bothered to say sorry. PAHOLA clearly doesn't know how to cut hair and shouldn't be working in a hair salon!!! PERIOD. I'm so disappointed of this place and I can't even take a picture because of how BAD it looks. I got a haircut with the medium tier stylist, and I could tell after the first wash that it wasn't good. Hair not falling into place properly no matter how I styled it. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt to it and see if after a few more washes my hair would get any better, but it only got worse. I called and asked for a correction but I was told that since it was 3 weeks instead of 2 weeks after my haircut, they wouldn't provide a free correction, but only a discount towards a new haircut. My mistake for not calling immediately after my bad haircut, but I would expect a local business would try a bit harder to win me as a loyal customer. Absolutely not going back there again and definitely not recommending! read more

PAHOLA IS THE BEST!!! I came to Zana a few weeks ago to get my hair cut with Pahola. As I walked in I was kindly greeted by their front desk staff and was offered a beverage and seated right away. Pahola did a very thorough consultation making sure she knew exactly what I wanted. I have been growing my hair out from a bob and it's finally reached mid length. Pahola suggested adding some long layers to give it some shape and movement. I'm Asian with very thick, pin straight hair so blending layers can be a difficult task. Pahola made me feel comfortable and confident that this was my best option to achieve the look I wanted while preserving the length. She was very meticulous and precise when cutting and styling my hair. She even told me about all the products she used on my hair and why she recommends them. The end results were beautiful! My hair is so effortless when styling at home and the layers were blended perfectly! I will definitely be back to see Pahola the next time I need my hair cut! :) read more

So I'm going to try to keep this short , I've been going to zana for several years usually a good experience. I was there 2 weeks ago for highlights and my hair never looked brassier ! I called the SaLon within a couple of days and explained my problem , the receptionist made a appt for following thursday. Fast forward the day of appt i took off work to have this corrected because I spent 327.00 the owner Aimee called TO tell me that she will adjust it this time because when I left I didn't say I didn't like it . Went there received cold shoulder from all , jenn the stylist said she saw it was gold not brassy she proceeded to put about 40 more highlights to lighten it and as she is washing me kept saying I'm not going to charge you for today ! The owner already told me that she would fix it this time. Why keep trolling me you aren't charging me . You shouldn't be it was not done correctly! Well my hair has never been more destroyed and yellow then it's ever been . They were rude unprofessional and they actually emailed me a receipt for 130.00 that they charge to a credit card they had on file and again they did this before , they charge your debit card without your permission which Is illegal!!! the integrity of my hair is ruined I texted the owner Aimee and sent pictures of my hair no response . the salon is overrated, overpriced and unprofessional! Love the hair cuts I get from this salon. Scheduled my first color appt...not really familiar with terminology but long story short, I booked a 6 pm double process color appt, thinking this was for roots or full head color and highlights. I showed up for the appt, explained what I wanted to stylist but was told that there isn't enough time to do what I needed as they close at 7 - double process apparently only meant roots and gloss. Fine, I guess it's on me for not knowing what the process I selected entailed (no explanation on website what their services meant). So, I was okay with rescheduling. Mind you, I made the trip there expecting to get my hair color done. Would you believe they tacked on a deposit fee of 25 dollars for the rescheduled appt (which I truly suspect is just a consultation charge). Not only did I not get anything done, was turned away as there wasn't enough time...I had to pay $25.00. You would think that a customer with a valid appointment, who they turned away, wouldnt need to pay anything. Doesn't seem like excellent customer service to me - this salon needs to get educated on what true customer service is. I cancelled the rescheduled appointment and will be going to a different salon. I'm okay with giving them the $25, but that's the last dollar they will get from me. read more

ZANA is a new hair boutique in downtown summit. It's stylish, chic, and trendy! From the second you walk in you feel the amazing atmosphere. The decor is gorgeous and well throughout. It feels like a luxurious yet boho vibe. Always so warmly greeted by all the staff! Everyone is so sweet and accommodating every time I come here. Jen is who takes care of me when I come in and I can't rave about her enough! She's excellent at her craft. She completely listens to what I want and she is so thorough with her follow through! She takes her time and she NEVER rushes. If I'm doing anything drastic she makes me feel so comfortable by giving me ALL the information before we start. Amie and her team are so so so awesome!!!! I've been going to Zana for around 3 years now - Amie cuts my hair and Jen does my color. I knew I wanted to have Amie do my hair for my wedding. She just gets it. We did a couple trials because I was trying to figure out what I wanted, but once I had the style picked out, Amie nailed it. It looked great in pictures, and it stayed all day. I never once felt like my hair was falling out even with a long veil pulling on it all day. She and her cousin Tarra also stayed after they were done with everyone's hair to help me put the veil in. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for anything more on my wedding day. Amie is seriously the best, and she makes you feel so comfortable. Whenever I used to go to other hair salons I was always worried that they'll cut off too much (I love having my hair long and luscious hehe) or never really listen to how I want my hair done, but at ZANA I don't have to worry!!!
