We noticed all the driftwood on the first page and decided to go in, met the owner Zan and she was so friendly and helpful, she helped us pick a few nice pieces. Pros: - large selection of hardscapes (stones, gravel, rock fragments, wood) - there is a sandbox available to use to help visualize hardscape design - small selection of tanks and tank supplies - beautiful display tanks and demo hardscape arrangements - great selection of healthy looking plants -prices are pretty decent - very friendly owner Pro/con: - you WILL have a conversation with the owner. Cons: - not a lot of price transparency (prices are looked up on the phone for most products). I think only the stones were priced but no scale for weight - their tissue culture plants don't look healthy and most have sat their over the course of a month. - vibe depends on owner's mood (?) as she is primarily the only staff member Personal note: -Visited three times. First visit was an incredible experience. Owner was nice and helpful and bubbly. Second time, significantly less friendly. Third time, the vibe was way off. That third visit, I got scolded for opening a tissue culture plant container. The lid wasn't secured with a label or seal. I couldn't see the plant and since most of the others looked dead, so I wanted to check. My ignorant @$$ opened the container to peek. The owner got pretty upset and said I wasn't supposed to open it. In an annoyed tone, she said "now I have to figure out something to do with it". My fault, for sure, but her reaction made me uncomfortable. After learning the price, I also put back a couple other plants, but felt uneasy as she asked me "what are you doing?!" when i put them back and i said "it's out of my price point" Don't think place is for me, BUT I think it's a GREAT shop for their selection of hardscapes. The owner is amazing but the vibe varies. You most likely won't be leaving empty handed though! read more

Fantastic store for 'scapers! All the supplies you could ever hope for to create your own awesome micro-biome in your home. The store is beautifully laid out. The plants are super healthy, too. They have what looks like the FULL line of contrasoil; and I like knowing I don't have to order it online anymore. All sorts of rock and driftwood to play with, too. A quick yelp search led me to this hidden gem. I first stopped by closer to the beginning of the year to browse in search of some plants for a smaller tank. Had the pleasure of setting up a new tank and knew this place had what I needed so I returned. The owner is an amazing individual, over flowing with knowledge. She takes her time to listen to your needs and make recommendations. I appreciated her feeling out with me over my tank, something I don't get to do often with others. Each customer gets individualized attention. The selection of plants was great, including prebuilt all in one moss ball scapes.
