Don't recommend this place for pediatric dental work, my daughter needed to endure a procedure that has to be under general anesthesia but their anesthesiologist isn't present everyday of the week and I couldn't bring her in the days that he was and a young lady in front office told me "well if you can't come in when he's here you're just gonna watch your daughter scream the whole time" i just turned around and left. I went to Zara dental for fillings and an extraction. Upon my first arrival the dentist and assistant were both amazing. I was nervous about having my extraction so I came back the next day. The service was even better I felt welcome and the staff is really warm and friendly. My tooth was pulled so fast I literally didn't believe it lol Ellie & Doctor Tameemi was super fast in getting my tooth out of the way in a pain free process even the shots which are worst part before extraction weren't that bad. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND as I am leaving Zara dental with less fear of needles and the dentist. Lol Truly an amazing experience. read more

As far as the dentist go, a majority of them are decent. Everything else is where the problems lie. I don't like leaving bad reviews but after the last of my next few appointments, I will no longer be a patient. Over my time frame here, I have watched a patient fall out of an unbolted chair and hit the ground hard. I have had to keep up with my dental work because it was not documented in my patient file was work was completed and what would be done next. I have had to remind them of my allergies to certain products. My treatments were always in question. There is excessive x-ray scanning done here. When files can be shared within the office systems. Over use of x-ray machines is bad for your thyroid and can cause problem. The vests they provide you with don't protect it when scans are done. The wait times are ridiculous, I one waited three hours to get a dental cleaning and wires changed for braces. Normal waits times average 35-60 minutes and sometimes the lobby is empty. The staff at the front desk are not very organized and sometimes they don't know what is going on for your treatment plans. read more

I had positive experiences with Zara Dental. I went in to see my options for whiter, straighter teeth. I was evaluated to get crowns VS braces (and when straightening is complete potentially veneers). I encountered at least two doctors, multiple technicians and administrative staff and all were kind and informative. They took their time to explain pros and cons of each option to me. Syria, Zara's administrator, was helpful and resourceful. She ran everything by my insurance and presented me with options that made best use of my benefits. Despite initial hesitation I went with braces (it's not easy to have braces in your 30s)! My orthodontist (don't remember his name unfortunately) and technician Alison did a great job placing ceramic braces and they are barely noticeable! The place itself is sparkling clean, waiting area is comfortable, equipment they use seems advanced and updated. Despite it being a very busy practice, my wait time was less than 20 minutes for all of my appointments. read more

I get the feeling Zara is best for those seeking discount services for extractions, braces, root canals etc more than routine care. I came here for a cleaning--they took X-rays, tried to talk me into veneers and whitening, and then the actual 'cleaning' lasted about five minutes. The hygienist barely scaled my teeth, briefly polished, did not floss, and a dentist never performed an exam of my teeth. He did briefly look at my X-rays. I'm now left to wonder if I need to go to a 'real' dentist sooner than 6 months because I know this cleaning was not adequate. I feel like I wasted my time. I started coming to this Dentist office years ago because they were affordable and open on Sundays which is a huge convenience for me due to my work schedule. BUT things change. Whenever I have to come here it is an ALL DAY affair. There is no point in even having an appointment I've waited an HOUR and this was WITH an appointment. Everyone seems to just be doing their own thing which doesn't seem to include work. And they don't even have the decency to update you if they are running behind on appointments. It's almost as if they just don't care. I will honestly probably start looking for a new dentist. It's a shame really because I had started my entire family going here. Dr. Rehman is hands down the best dentist I've ever been to! Dr. Rehman is kind and caring; she is genuinely concerned about the health and comfort of her patients. She takes time to explain all options when treatment is needed beyond a basic cleaning. Dr. Rehman has continued to educate herself through the years and stays up to date with the newest and best treatment options; she educates you on the best options, but doesn't push you to agree with her decision. I went to Zara Dental last sunday to get my teeth cleaned and this has to be the best service I've ever experienced. As soon as I walked in, Siria and a few others at the front desk greeted me with smiles and welcomed me into the establishment. The waiting room itself is large and spacious with lots of seating. I come here once a month to get my braces checked and I love their service. For the past 2 and 1/2 years that I've been here, I've never experience someone assisting me with an attitude or anything, they will always greet you with a smile. They always have a positive and optimistic vibe. The front desks are always welcoming and I'm so thankful for when I called in saying that I forgot to get a doctors note because they were able to fax it to my school, that saved me a 30 minute drive! My doctors and nurses were so thrilled to see me and congratulated me when I took my braces off today. Came in at my scheduled time to just sit in the waiting area for almost an hour so then they can put me in a room for another hour, and take the same X-ray two different times from two different people to just tell me they were going to give me medication. On July 28 of the present year, I went to Zara Dental because I needed a night guard because I have bruxism and I have had TMJ problems (as I explained to the dentist). Two very uneducated "dental assistants" took the impressions of my teeth. They both had no clue of what they were doing but one seemed to make the lead. As a former licensed dental assistant I know all the procedures. This woman, man handled me so bad, she inserted her 4 fingers in my mouth and hold my head with her other arm like she wanted to chock me. I made a gesture for her to stop. I was gagging and in pain. More over the impressions were bad. That evening I was so swollen, my TMJ on both sides was hurting so bad. I had to do a massage on myself that a Maxillofacial prescribed me years ago and had not needed in a long time. Also had to play arnica on my whole face and took pictures and sent them to the manager. I couldn't take any pain medication because a few days later I was supposes to have a surgery. What is worst of all is, that even though I called and sent the manager the evidence, she has not returned my money. It's been over two weeks and I just called yesterday again. Insane! I cannot imagine someone having some kind of bone disease and going to this clinic, they will actually break you and take no responsibility and do not want to return your money. Horrible! I am completely mortified about how I was treated in this establishment. From the moment I walked in and the looks I got I knew something was up but considering this is a professional establishment I thought I would have been treated as equally as any client. But unfortunately I was wrong. I called ahead and made a 1:30 appointment with the gentleman at the front desk in which I arrived on time if not a few minutes early. I was advised to fill paperwork out which I did when another client entered who was Hispanic as we're all the staff in the establishment. They greeted her and she replied she had a 2pm appointment and sat down to fill her paperwork out as did I. 10-15 minutes later she was called back while I waited another 30 mins. before I was even called to the back. Mind you I had a 1:30 appointment and she had a 2pm appointment. Went to the back and the two men in the back were acting weird as if they weren't use to servicing African American clients or maybe they just didn't want to I don't know but I recognized the feeling immediately. Conversation was short which consisted of pre existing health conditions and reason for the visit not a friendly or welcoming exchange whatsoever from the staff in the back which were two males who looked Hispanic as well. I had my x-rays done and was told what treatment I needed and was asked to wait again. By now it's 2:40 they close at 3. So I asked will I be able to get any work done and was informed that no I would not be able to because they were only doing one procedure which was on the girl who had the 2pm appointment. So not only did they intentionally skip over me they had no intention to even treat me from the moment I walked in. I drove an hour and 20 mins for this visit and not only that I have asthma and risked coming out during this covid-19 quarantine to seek dental treatment only to be discriminated against the moment I walked in. They humiliated me and wasted my time. So for any African Americans seeking dental care please look else where as they don't seem to be accommodating our race too well. Please read the reviews and notice that all the great reviews are from clients with Hispanic background last names which further proves that they only look out for their own people and discriminate against other races. Considering that they are among some of the highly discriminated races you would think they would offer a little humility but then again I guess not. It's a shame that they have opened a dental office to the public to only treat people like this. A professional establishment should be ran as just that a "professional establishment". We notified our insurance company to be on the lookout for any claims that they may try to cash in on. read more

I cannot explain how amazing this place is! not only is it clean and organized, the girls in the front greeted my dad and I with a smile! I came in for a cleaning the day before to see how the office checked out before I brought my dad in for a cleaning. The awesome thing is they are open on the weekends! My dad did not have to lose a day of work; which he was happy about. the doctors were nice and professional, they took very good care of us, I will be coming back here!
