Pretty happy with the service and tint. I had to replace a tint on one of my windows. Great price to remove and replace. He even chose the correct tint since I had no idea which one to chose. When you're driving into the area, it's pretty busy with a car wash and a few other window tinting companies. His shop is a single garage far left in the corner next to the burrito place. He quickly went to work by removing the panel, removing the old tint and quickly applying the new tint all under 30 minutes. I didn't even make an appointment. Good stuff! read more

Their customer service is terrible. They allow people to cut lines, and all though one person will tell you you're next- another will tell you different. I saw multiple cars leave the tint shop with air bubbles also. You get what you pay for at the tint shop here. read more

Went here solely on the Yelp reviews, I've been shopping around for a bout a month, I have a mini van and every shop was charging me a crazy amount of money to do the job. I went late in the day around 5:00pm the place was empty (lucky me) I parked infront of the shop,the owner came out I asked how much for 5 windows and there big, minivan size. I braced my self, he looked around my car and said $240 I said WHAT!! Wait are you sure? he said "yeah I can do right now, I'll take about 2 hours" that's about half of what I was getting quoted at other shops, with hesitation and some concern I agreed. Turned my car over came back 2 hours later and my car was transformed and looking incredible, no air bubbles no scraches no dings nothing he charged me what he quoted me and the whole thing was great. read more

Zavala's has been the place to go in San Francisco for tinted windows for as long as I can remember (which is more than 15 years). This man is honest, fast and does quality work. He has done two of my cars: 2015 Honda Fit and 2010 Honda Civic. I went in, was offered different shades, picked out the one I liked best and my car was ready in a short time. Zavala even loaned me a car seat so I could uber home with my daughter and back while he worked on my car. My cars have become faithful to this place, like a man is faithful to his barber. When you see the car wash, just go in, all the way to the back left corner next to the taqueria. The cars I got tinted here: 92' Chevy Caprice Wagon 90' Honda CRX 63' Chevy Bel Air 07' Honda Civic They all got FULL tints front to back. I have never seen 1 bubble or 1 wrinkle in any of these. They do quality work all day, no short cuts. Expect to spend $180-$220 for a "all around". Some shops will look at a certain curve of specific rear windows and will give you some excuse of why they don't want to touch it. Not these guys! They make it happen and give you lifetime warranty. So glad I found this place! I was shopping for rates for window tinting and Zavala's had the best in the city. I was concerned that maybe since the value was so great, maybe the job was compromised? I checked Yelp and came across positive reviews and figured why not try it out. I came by right before they opened at 10am and there was already one car ahead of me in line. Zavala and his partner got to work on the first car and in the mean time also asked me how tinted I wanted my windows. I looked over the different levels of tint, one of the guys talked me over my options, what the legal tint laws were, and held up the different options up to my window which helped me picture the final product. They were super helpful and patient with me and never once seemed annoyed by all my questions. I had decided just to sit around and wait for my car to finish. I have a two door Golf and for the 5 windows, it only took about a hour and forty five minutes. The guys were super nice and brought me a chair while I was standing in a shady spot and also brought me a water bottle! I really appreciated the kind gestures. After they finished, I was so pleased with the end result. They gave me my paperwork and said if I notice anything in the future to just bring it back and they would fix it. When I left, there were 2-3 cars waiting so coming as early as possible is definitely your best bet if you want to be in and out. Thank you again to Zavala and his partner. Went to the guys at Zavala at the recommendation of a friend. I called ahead of time to ask for pricing and after telling him what kind of vehicle it was, he quoted me much less than I expected. I have a 2012 Civic EX Coupe and it was only $200. The guys did such a good job and were very efficient. They were done in maybe an hour, however I wasn't really paying attention because I was people-watching at the car wash and eating a yummy quesadilla from the taqueria next door, El Toyonense, which is really really good! When the guys were done I paid the exact amount he quoted me on the phone, and he handed me a paper confirming that I have a 5-year warranty on the tint. My car looks wonderful, and the tint is flawless. It even goes all the way I HIGHLY recommend these guys. I recently purchased a 2014 Tacoma that was tinted with limousine shade all around which practically rendered the vehicle un-drivable at night or even during early evening. I brought it over to Francisco, he and his guy removed the films, cleaned up all the mess, and re-tinted my Tacoma with 35 front and 50 rear (already has 20). Did all of that in less than 2 hours. They did a fantastic job including shaving the edges which most tinting shops either don't do or charge you extra. Their price is extremely reasonable. My total cost was 30% less than the best estimated price I received from other shops. I told them to do "darkest legal", not realizing how dark California legal is on the back windows (limo tint). This is the best place for a tint and the most cost effective. This is my third vehicle i have taken to them over the years, and as usual they did a great job. Just make sure u arrive early i got there at 9 (they open at 930) and there was already one car ahead of me. By the time i was finished there was a line of about 7 cars. It was a very quick job and i was out of there by 11am mind you there was a vehicle that went before me. I got limo tint on all the back windows and medium 35 on the 2 front windows. The location is small and crowded as they share space with a car wash, so its a bit of a hassle trying to get in and out when other vehicles are coming and going. I highly recommend their service, initially i thought they had closed down so i was looking at other places for quotes and what i paid here was about half what other places are charging. You can't justify rating a place by not even getting their service done and by basing it on location. I went to Zavala's last week, June 13, 2014, and I called two days before making a decision where I wanted to go. I did a lot of research and a lot of window tinting places were charging $260 plus and they said to drop off your car at 9am and pick it up in the afternoon. I called Zavala's found out their pricing, which was $180 for my hatcback window, two back side windows, and two small panels between the back windows and the hatcback (total of five windows), and I scheduled an appointment. When I first drove by, I'll admit that the area around the lot isn't appealing, but I was still going to check it out. Zavala's isn't a building by itself but a shop in a cul-de-sac with other shops around it. There's car washes, detailing, auto shops, anything you can imagine to service your car. By having a big community like that, it made things a lot more comfortable. Everyone is friendly, it's a good environment, and there's really nothing to be worried about. So I spoke to the manager about my appointment and he said that they don't take appointments but it's first come first serve. He was probably a little confused because my appointment was at 3 and I came at 2, but he said that my car will be in service by 3. So I waited til 3, but then he finished earlier and took me in at 2:45. I was out the door by 4:15, $180 like he said, and very happy with my tint. These guys that work in the lot are one of the hardest workers that I've seen. They work diligently in a timely manner and there's a lifetime warranty if you're not satisfied. I was expecting a bubble or two, but they are so proficient in their work that I didn't find anything wrong about it. I'll come back here for the other services the lot provides because I know that the prices are reasonable, and I know that it'll be done correctly. Also, Zavala's have all the different tints and everything is the same price no matter what shade you want. And check out the little Mexican restaurant in the lot while you wait for you car. read more
