I have many reasons to be mad at this company over all. When I wash my car, the wash appears like it was washed at a quarter car wash. it is terrible. second, I went in there on 2 occasions to cancel my cancel my subscription and the last time, the guy was really nice, however he was new and didn't know how but he did try and told me to call if they charged me after I cancelled. so I call this location get voice mail that was full, couldn't leave message. so I called Wixom location, phone number disconnected, called Livonia location, that phone number disconnected.. SAVE THE EXTRA MONEY AND DRIVE TO OLD GLORY AUTO WASH IN HOWELL! I've been going around Brighton trying to find auto washes that suit my cars needs (it's lowered and wide bodied on wide aftermarket wheels) and Zax was NOT that place. I paid TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS and was left with dirt on my front and rear bumpers, salt on my wheels, and soap left dripping down my rear windshield. So, you're car is covered in mud and you need it clean. Maybe not the best option coming here with a high expectation. But, for a weekly cleaning and rinse this place is affordable and they have even more affordable unlimited plans worth looking in to. It's quick and easy on easy on your way. read more

The water always smells bad, My car doesn't come out clean (its left with a cloudy film), and I once met a manager and he got upset and angry when I told him why I cancelled my membership. Its like clockwork, I can go there today when its been more than 6months since the last time I have been there. I guarantee the water will still smell horrible, and my car will still have the cloudy film on it afterwards. They can do SOOO much better, and it seems as if they don't care to try. read more

1st time at Zax and certainly the last. Worst car wash ever. Waste of $10. Don't go here of you want to clear dirt and dust off the back of your car. Even had to blow horn to get the attendant to come out of office. So bad they should go out of business. read more

This is the worst car wash. For $15 I'd expect my car to be pretty clean but the back of my vehicle barely looks like it went through a car wash. The rear glass is only partially clean because I cleaned it at a gas station after the wash. Don't waste your money here. Expensive and quality is garbage. read more

I have used this several times, but I guess never actually when my SUV was dirty. Today my SUV was dirty....so I went for a car wash that didn't actually clean my car. I gave this two stars because this is our SUV, which is far from clean despite having gone through the wash 3 minutes earlier. My car, on the other hand, seems to come out OK. I have tried this car wash several times as it is so close to me. I used to go back and get another wash when it was really bad but now you can't do this because you have to pay to even get in. It misses the back almost completely and there was part of the front and then on my door. read more

I wish I'd gotten the mans name who was working when I came in but he is always fantastic. He puts real elbow grease into spraying your car down and I've never had any other car wash care or put that much effort in. Most places do the bare minimum of what's required but this guy really went above and beyond. I didn't catch his name but I came in on Monday, Sept. 11th at 5:30. I hope he gets some credit he truly deserves it! read more

They just installed new auto entry kiosks. I purchased the monthly pass and boy was that a mistake. Every time I go through I leave with soap all over the back of the car. It starts drying before the soap is rinsed off so I have to rinse and dry the back off myself at home every time. Cancelling the monthly and will never go back. read more

It's a zero really they always leave soap and since they have gates and price went up it's even worse and I keep going back because I have a pass so I go to the Novi one they do a bit better read more

Overpriced and the drive through car wash basically rinsed the dust off my car. I order the wax, which may have been a mistake because the final rinse did a poor job. It left spots all over the car, glass and external mirrors. I will happily drive several miles further to get a better wash (and rinse). read more

I paid for the $11 wash and after the wash was finished I left. I drove about 5 miles away to the destination I was heading and when I got out of the car I was livid. The car wasn't close to clean. Absolutely ridiculous. I drove back to the car wash and told them I wasn't happy and the attendant was nice enough, but the car is still dirty after a second wash. I don't know if they use dirty water and brushes or what, but I get a better wash and dry at the local put-your-car-in-park-and-wait, $6 wash! I won't be back and would love a refund. This location recently flipped to the kiosk payment system. You select your wash type prior to pulling up to the bay. And surprise! The cost of a wash went up a dollar, from $4.99 to $5.99, as posted on the board. Funny thing, though. You're charged a round $6. You have the "option" of buying a $14.99 monthly "subscription" for unlimited washes. I sincerely hope that dollar goes to tip the workers, as I used to tip $2 each wash. No longer. Nothing else changed about the service. The workers still do a decent job of brushing the car down, but the blower at the end does not dry your car (I have always kept a couple of towels in the back to do that) and there's no wipe-down, like at Rainbow Car Wash on Grand River. So much for "progress." read more

Just gave my car the worst wash ever. The whole back of my SUV was not even touched & I could still see the dirt/wiper marks on my back windshield. I purchased the best wash for $15 & gave them a $3 tip to give special attention to my rear hatch. Awful, awful job! Never going back.... read more

Tipped the guys 2$ each on top of a 6$ wash and asked to get my wheels good as I had snow packed in them and the wheel wells. Got through the wash and not only was there still snow and ice in my wheel wells but there was still soap all over both sides of my van which of course froze right away. Horrible. The location is very convenient for me so I bought a fast pass. The back of my car actually looks worse after going thru the wash!!! Next time thru I told them the back did not get cleaned and ask if they could give it some attention. After I shut my window I saw the guy roll his eyes and make a comment to the other guy. Have you noticed when car washes get busy, the wash gets worse? That's the case here. It was a busy day for them, as are most sunny winter days in Michigan, for most car washes. I ran my car through the car wash, using their special - a premium wash which included the works. Well, I should have gotten out and checked the car over, because the entire front end of the car looked as if it was not washed at all. They didn't scrub it before letting it through the wash, which they should always do. As I said, when things get busy, the guys let things slide a bit. Overall, the car looked pretty good for a mid winter wash. I'll wipe down the front end when I get home. read more

First timer and last timer. I have heard great reviews of the Wixom location but not so much the Brighton one. The guy who took my money was helpful with questions I had and was friendly. I purchased the "works" which was $10 but thought....what the heck? My car is dirty so I will pay it. However, there was still a good amount of dirt on my car when I left. Zax is a good value for a quick wash. Compared to the bigger places with bigger washers, like Coney and Rainbow, I'd still go here.

I stopped at this place and paid for the Zax works and even tipped my guys and ran through the wash. I went to my next destination to find a dirty tailgate on my Acadia. ridiculous!. I return they run me back through with the cheap wash. I asked why they didn't give me the same wash i paid for the manager said I don't have to. We just arrived home after purchasing a car wash from Zax in Brighton. We opted for the Deluxe wash. I can't even imagine what an Express wash must look like. This was by far the worst car wash we have ever had. The whole car was still dirty but the dirtiest parts were back of the car and the passenger side. They were basically untouched. Sad, we really like to support our local merchants but we will definitely never go back there and will caution others to do that same. read more
