If you are hoping to get a really good automatic car wash done, then Zax Auto Wash may be a location you want to pass by. The side view mirrors may get washed, but they will not get dried. You will want to wipe them down after going through. Also notice that the back of the vehicle doesn't get washed real well either. You get about as good of a wash for the money as you would get by doing it yourself at a coin operated wash. read more

I used to like this car wash, but I will not be going back there. Their cleaning brushes are shorter than the metal arms they're on and because of this, these things have stripped the paint off the hood of my vehicle in specific areas. I don't appreciate that & I really hope my review is read by people who continue to go there and they stop going to. I joined the monthly car wash program. The people they hire to work there are rude beyond belief. They do a mediocre job at best washing my car. They never spray under the wheel wells, they barely wash the back. The back of the vehicle is always dirty even after I come out of the car wash. There are so many better options out there. A lot of new car washes going up now so more to pick from. Zax needs to step up their game at the Westland location. At the very least by keeping the current wash stations in good repair. Half of the curtains that go over the windshield are missing so not all of the windshield gets washed. The back of my suv is never totally clean but I just go through again since my plan is unlimited. Both Livonia locations are a bit better but not as convenient for me currently with road closures. But Tommy's is right down the street now that I exit at Ford Rd.; so I am really considering giving them a try even though I have been an unlimited customer for a while. read more

Very seldom has my vehicle been entirely clean. I've had the works monthly subscription for a few years now and I don't know why. None of their locations clean the whole outside of the vehicle. Especially the back and they only shine the driver side tires as if I'm only going to look at the driver's side. When I asked why such a poor job all I get are excuses. And when you are paying upfront every month no excuse is good enough. I feel like a half done job should get half the payment. read more

I'm sorry, Zak. But this is the absolute worst car wash I've ever been to. Your guys hit it pretty good with the prewash hoedown. I went thru it; it squirted all the soaps and the spinny things did their spinny thing. The dryer thing dried okay (can be improved in). By all accounts, it should work. But my car is just filthy when i leave your car wash. I keep two towels and detailing spray in the back sat to clean my car after a car wash from you. I don't know what he deal is, it looks like all the other car washes but it DOES NOT CLEAN. THE dirt is everywhere on the car, but the back end is by far the worse. That area doesn't get touched by your machines. I kind of feel bad writing this review. Last Thursday I went thru Zax on Cooley Lake Rd. I have a 2020 Edge, and they tore off my rear wiper. When I realized it was gone I went back and they found the part. They took my name and number, and I was told I'd hear from the owner. Two days later I went back only to be told the new owner won't pay for it. They said "good luck getting him to pay"! Went to Zax Auto Wash on 3/17/19 bought the $15.00 wash. Went through and truck was still dirty with road grime around the handles and mirrors and tailgate. Went back and they gave me another $15.00 wash on the house, which I thought was the right thing for them to do. Unfortunately the truck was still dirty after $30.00 worth of washing. I gave this place a shot because it was nice outside and I really needed a wash. I payed 14.99 for the best wash they offered. First off, they employees don't wash your car down like most places. They splashed soaped on my windshield, and didn't touch my tires (even though that was a mentioned upgrade?). The wash itself was just a lot of neon colored foamy soap and a couple of those spinny things. The rinse wasn't enough because I still had suds on my windshield, and foam on my mirror. I took my Taurus Sho through the automatic car wash in Saline. The robot spinning brush on the driver's side ripped the Sho logo off and beat in into my car all the way down from front to back. Causing nine dents and multiple scratches. The attendant took pictures and assured me that the company would pay for the damages. I finally received a call from the rude manager Drew who isn't even on site there told me that there was nothing wrong with their machine after the attendant retrieved the logo himself and told me that it was their fault. My car is in excellent condition and no loose parts for it to grab. It was stuck in the middle of the logo. The attendants very friendly but the management sucks. Not how you treat customers at all. Very disappointed with the car wash I just purchased on 3/12/19. I purchased the Ultimate Car Wash that cost me $14.99. Upon inspecting my car when I arrived home I noticed a lot of brush marks on the back of my car. I did go back up to Zax's after work on 3/13/19 to let them know I was unhappy with the car wash the previous day. I asked for a manager but was told that I would be able to receive a rewash and that the associate would be right with me. It wasn't the greatest wash and wax but I was patronizing the local community and they seemed nice at first. Today I found out that my tips were insufficient. The guy was very rude about it. The company I work for buys me a monthly pass to get my car washed at Zax whenever I need it. I believe it costs $15.00/ month for the "express " or cheapest plan. With two locations right near my work in Livonia, it makes it very convenient to get a wash sometimes 5 times a week during the road salt season. The quality of the wash is not ever great. Took my truck through the car wash, when it came out, it looked like there was nothing touched. Bugs were still on the windshield and got tire waxing, but they only covered little spots. I paid ten bucks for absolutely NOTHING but some "cool" lights and some dyed soap. I could have paid a 4 YEAR OLD to do a better job.
