We stopped at this Zaxby's while out of town. The food was fine and tasted about what we expected, but the customer service wasn't the best. The lady working the register with orange glasses kept cutting us off when we tried to ask questions about the menu. When I asked about an item, her response came across as passive aggressive instead of helpful. We also asked for some extra sauce, and she told us no because she had mobile orders to fill first, even though the sauce was right behind her. Another thing that stood out was when my sister was paying, the cashier asked if she had the exact change so she wouldn't have to do the math. Overall, the food was okay, but the service wasn't very friendly and made the experience less enjoyable than it should have been. The restaurant was also very cold and dark inside. I'm writing this review as im waiting in line lol it's been 10 minutes waiting in the drive thru and I would understand if this was a stand alone restaurant and making their own food but it's not! This is a FAST food place and its like this everytime and the last time me and friend came I went inside instead of drive thru to see if it would be any better. Nope! The lady at the front took someone's order and then I walked up and she looked at me and walked the other way (no I didn't know her I guess she just didn't want to help me?)and I stood there for probably 10 minutes again before another employee came and took my order and THEN when I finally got my food it was wrong and had to be remade lol. I was on the way back from Harrah's Cherokee and needed gas. While pumping gas, I spotted Zaxby's across the street. Despite two young folks loitering in the parking lot and staring at me as if to threaten me, or because they thought I was a cop, I ventured inside. (I mentally patted myself on the back for such bravery.) The interior is very clean, and the service is superb -- attentive and friendly. The food isn't bad, either. It's just that I expected it to be more of a Fast Casual restaurant than a Fast Food restaurant. It definitely falls into the latter category. And while the taste isn't bad, it's not the kind of food that makes you feel good about yourself after consumption. You can feel it go right to your gut, making you feel like you should run five miles the next day. If you're looking for a breakdown, the wings are good, not great. When I ordered Mild and saw that my receipt said "Wimpy" next to my order, I have to admit that my machismo fell about five notches. Nevertheless, I ate while finding myself capable of ridding the thought. The chicken fingers weren't bad, but nothing amazing, which for me means not worth it because it's fried. The toast is well ... toast. The one standout was the chocolate chip cookie. Not the best in the world, but better than I expected. Whether or not Zaxby's is for you depends on your food-consumption preferences. If you're down with fried food, go for it. If you're not, or if you're on the fence, then your money can probably be better spent elsewhere. read more

We passed by on a road trip looking for fried chicken. There was no fried chicken, just chicken strips and sandwiches which were good. Very buttery bread as mentioned. Grilled chicken sandwich was tender. Looks like they were slightly imitating their other chicken fast food competitors. read more

Thought I would pick up a cobb salad. I love that the toppings are separated. I was very disappointed when I open the to-go box. The salad looked like it had been dropped and shaken several times. Every topping was all scattered except for the egg which was sliced but not separated. The lettuce was at room temperature, not crisp at all. The chicken was colder that the lettuce and toppings! To me, there is nothing better than crisp cold toppings on a salad with hot grilled chicken. I was really looking forward to a great salad but was soooo disappointed. I love Zaxbys salads, and eat them often. I took my family there tonight for dinner, ordered 3 salads, 2 with honey mustard dressing and 1 with Zaxbys sauce. Got home and had 1 honey mustard and 2 ranch. Last time we got 2 salads, 1 with honey mustard, and one was supposed to be Zaxbys sauce. Got home that time and it was both honey mustard. This meant we had enough honey mustard from last time to use this time, but still no freaking Zaxbys sauce!! And when we got up to the window I got the crappiest stink eye from the service person taking orders at the drive thru. Customer service has been dwindling at this location rapidly lately and I don't know why. We'd also like to make it known that this location likes to close whenever they feel like it and it's usually long before the posted closing time. AND they like to keep their drive-thru lights off to deter people from coming to eat. Just a disappointing experience for something we truly love and a product that is usually consistently tasty!! I went to this location last week and I was disgusted. The cashiers had horrible attitudes. The tables were dirty and spilled tea on the counter. My order took longer than needed.
