Food Good, service is good. But on a Saturday night at 9pm I am able to order a meal for pick up in store in the app. The store hours are posted on the door you are opened till 11pm. Nothing states drive thru only open till 11pm, nothing stating that the dining room closes at 8 or 9 pm. I had walked up to the door to pick up my order at 9:13pm and it was locked. I had to get in the drive thru lane to get my food, the line was wrapped around the building. If you truly close your dining room earlier than your drive thru you need to post it on your website. Post it on your door, post it in the app. I did not have the time to wait in line and I already had paid for my food.Not a happy customer. read more

Food is excellent. Service quality not so much, make sure you check your bag. They make mistakes constantly and do not give you the proper sauces or utensils. I have never received a napkin from there. I usually really enjoy this location of Zaxbys but they seem to be going downhill. The service is fast but at what expense? I ordered a chicken sandwich today (the club with bacon and cheese) and I relieved a sandwich with a single slice of bacon and cheese that was halfway off the sandwich. I asked for extra seasoning on the fries (they still did not have any seasoning on them), a side of spicy zax sauce (they gave me a sweet & spicy sauce- not what I asked for) and my coke zero was sticky and wet on the outside! These people are hard working and committed to the formula of the zaxbys brand. It's not the best chicken on the market but it's good in my book. Where to start ... Messed up my order so I went back inside and the front end person was polite and helpful. I said this isn't what I ordered and I told her what I ordered. She repeated it back and asked the cook directly to remake my order and use a fresh bun please (??) code maybe ..idk. What I do know is my " fixed " order was still not up to par. 3 drops of hot sauce on my spicy chicken sandwich and no salt or spice on fries . Smallest chicken sandwich I've ever gotten from Zaxbys , Maybe 2 1/2 to 3 ounces. For $10. I will not be back to this zaxbys. The one in apex has me spoiled. They actually make your order correctly and they don't try to shit you because you brought an incorrect order back. If you hear the words " use a fresh bun " ...you're getting screwed over. The place was new, but dirty. The drink counter was full of food scraps, wrappers and spilled drinks. I placed a to go order for original boneless hot wings and cheddar cheese bites. I waited about 20 minutes to get my order. They do not have the rewards program set up, and I wasn't impressed with the hot wings sauce. It tastes like Texas Pete's and ketchup mixed together. This is one of the new restaurants that opened up within the past few years. Each time that we've been the service was quick, the food was fresh and the dining area has been clean. I have noticed over the last few months the wings are getting smaller and they are cooking them a little too long. Some people like their wings fried hard and crunchy but I don't. So, some of the wings my son didn't eat bc he stated they were too hard. Overall the experience is pleasant and it's a common stop we usually make. read more

Stopped in for lunch yesterday. The place was one of the cleanest I have seen. The women working were all super friendly. This Zaxbys brought your food to you (Smithfield doesn't). One of the women stopped around and made sure everybody was doing okay. They have good customer service at this location. read more

We got takeout from Zaxby's on our first night in North Carolina visiting friends. They said they absolutely love it, and we said let's try it! We were so glad we did. Although it wasn't super hot (not Zaxby's fault - it was due to traffic on the way to pick it up), it was still delicious. We went simple with just fried chicken and crinkle cut fries - but it's what we all wanted and we were happy. The fries are really flavorful and the chicken was crispy and delicious. The special Zaxby's dipping sauce was a perfect complement to the chicken. I would have liked to try some of the other sides, but I don't really know what they have! Being resent transplant from Ohio, we are always looking for new places to try. This happened to be one of the best meals we've had since moving here. The service was fantastic. This is the 3rd time we have recently ordered and the order wasn't correct.  We were trying to give them the benefit of the doubt because of being understaffed and time of day we went being a busy period.  Today I took the incorrect order in and was told in a sharp, rude tone (with accompanying sigh and eyeroll), "We're doing the best we can."  We were overcharged receiving an item we didn't order and didn't receive two others although we were charged for all three.  When I asked about the price discrepancy (which was almost $5, not just a few cents), I was met with, "What about a free meal ticket?  Is that what you want?"  I said, "I just want what we ordered and to be charged for only that."  As she walked away, she said, "Happens all the time."  The missing items were tossed on the counter with a free meal ticket by a different employee who immediately disappeared to the back.  I can appreciate being understaffed and am patient with that situation, but I cannot excuse the rudeness and disrespect with which I was met.  I don't know who will get the free meal coupon, but it won't be me.  Had I not been picking up food for other office staff, I probably would have requested a full refund and she could have kept the food.  I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because the food was fresh and tasted as expected.  They've lost my business read more

Steve does a fantastic job managing this location! I ordered the grilled chicken salad . The salad usually consists of a mixture of iceberg,romaine,and green leaf lettuce. I can't digest iceberg, so I try to avoid it. Most of the time when I request substituting the lettuce, the other locations either say that it can't be done or forget, alltogether. This is due to lack of communication between the ordering, and the back(prep). The girls up front clearly expressed my request to the back. Well, Steve made my salad himself,picking out every little piece iceberg in the pre-made mixture. He said that his wife had the same issue. The staff clearly communicated with each other. My food was perfect! The drink machine wasn't even flooded with ice,like the other locations,where there is sometimes an avalanche of ice.This was a very clean Zaxbys; the ladies restroom was immaculate. Placed an online order at 7:53 for a pick up at 8:15. Called and spoke to an employee at 8:10 to tell them I was in the designated spot and ready to receive my order ( a salad). She says "okay" so I wait another 15 minutes, I worked in restaurants, I understand it takes time, call back at 8:25 to check the status when another employee picks up and says that they will get started on my order. Get started?! I should have been home and eating it by this point. If i hadn't already paid through the app I would have left. Truly disappointed. I went several times in April/May 2019 after moving to the area and the food was horrible and the inside was not clean at all. I decided to give this store another chance since it is close to my home and WOW what a turn around. My food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The employees all looked happy to be working there. I had the new southwest sandwich and I would like to say they had messed up on it the first time, I didn't realize it until I had arrived home. I proceeded to call and I spoke with their manager Stephen and he said just come back up here and we will make you a fresh one(lucky I live 1 mile away) but I came up there and made it fresh himself and then gave me some cookies as well for free. I can that amazing service in my book, it also helps when you are nice to people.
