I really wanted to like this salad. I was rude, because when I was ordering my food, I was on the phone. Customer service was good. This was only my 2nd time at Zaxby's 1st time since moving here. Don't bother coming here. Plenty of other, better options right there and if you need fried chicken fingers there's PDQ almost right next door and Popeye's just a couple of miles down 95. The management and staff here couldn't care less about getting orders right or service. The last 5 times we've visited, something has been wrong; we've paid for several items we didn't even receive while other times were more minor like no sauce whatsoever, and plenty of times received cold food. I've never complained, until the last time when I ordered 2 items (yep, 2 whole items to mess up) via the app, which seemed like it would overcome some of the order confusion issues. I get there and the drive thru is wrapped, but inside is pretty empty so even though I try not to go inside anywhere, I do since it should be a super quick in and out. Right? (Spoiler alert: they got one star. You can guess if that actually happened.) I went inside; a to-go order sat at the counter and I assumed it was mine. I was surprised when I was told mine was being prepared, but cool. Fresh food. I don't mind waiting a couple of minutes. Waited 10 minutes. Same employee asked me if I had been helped. "Yep! Just waiting for my pickup order from the app, thanks!" 5 more minutes, same person comes up and grabs the order that had been sitting there since before I arrived to hand it to me. I verify because maybe I missed something. "Has this been sitting here the whole time?" Indeed it had. I question whether the food would even be hot now. Shrug. "It should still be warm." I note that I'm concerned that it's been sitting there for so long and doubt it's still hot or even warm. She offers to remake it. That'd be great thanks, but please also get a manager (because this is number 5 now and obviously there is some communication issue that they should be aware of). "He's making the food." Okay, well then when he's available. (I'm waiting anyway.) Manager comes up, I begin my first sentence..."Hi! I just thought you should know that..." Manager begins talking over me. I wait. He stops. I start again, "Anyway, I ordered this on the app over 15 minutes ago...." Interrupted. Again. I wait. He stops. I try again. You can guess what happened. I finally ask if he would allow me to actually finish my sentence. He again does not. I say, "This obviously isn't working. Can I have your name please?" To which he turns, grabs the bag with my original food, and marches to the back without even a glance behind (nor an answer). Finally get my food. Ask the employee his name and leave. I get home. Food is ice cold. I'm pretty sure he just gave me the same food after all that waiting. Now I know why all of my orders have been wrong or poor quality. If management (come to find out he's the general manager YOWZA) is this crummy with even letting a customer speak a sentence or providing quality food, how else would the culture there be? Nope. Every time we go hear, it's a disaster! (We even tried the location at the St Johns Town Center hoping the poor service was limited to the one by our house, but after spending 30 minutes waiting on our food and not being able to eat in the restaurant as we had somewhere to be, I realize that's not the case.) Every time we go, it's a 30+ minute ordeal at a FAST food restaurant, even when we ordered ahead today (which we did so because of a coupon we had that would not redeem in the app - add that to the consistently negative experience). We were there around 730, the store doesn't close until 10 and yet instead of helping customers, there was a girl mopping the store 2 and a half hours ahead of time! My husband and I both ordered a meal that included drinks, yet we got only one drink. Another time, I ordered a salad and did not get any dressing. It seems silly, but not getting my coke has been "the straw that broke the camel's back". We have finally decided to write off Zaxby's altogether as the overall service and experience has consistently been terrible, even at other locations. I understand it's tough to find people to work right now, but PDQ and Chick Fil A have yet to let us down in this last year and a half or so, and even before. Torn between 2 an 3 stars. The good: Enjoyed my meal. The multiple selection soda machine is always fun. The staff was friendly. The not-so-good: Price! My growing son bought the 20 boneless wings, which are tiny, essentially nuggets. With sauce and tax it was $20! A dollar a nugget? Ouch. They are NOT big. Ended up paying $35 for both our meals and two soda's. That is expensive for a fast-food joint. The restaurant was a little grungy. There were only 6 other people in the place but many dirty tables and trash by the door was filled to the brim. So the price and condition of the restaurant lands me at 2 stars. Today, I visited a (new to me) Zaxby's and ordered my usual: Cobb salad grilled for me, and regular Cobb salad for my wife. I waited 25 minutes inside the store, and finally got my order and left. When we got home, we found they forgot the bacon, the egg, and we each got the equivalent of one chicken finger. What a rip off! Zaxbys can be good. However this location is definitely not my favorite. It is always slow. Even when it is not busy, the service is just incredibly slow. The menu is not that extensive so I just don't understand a ten minute wait for strips, fries and toast. The cashiers take so many orders and forget to call out orders so by the time you get called the food isn't warm and it has just been sitting on the counter, last time I actually went up to the counter and interrupted the cashier between orders to ask for my order which had been sitting for 5 plus minutes. The restaurant is usually a mess inside. Especially during lunch, the drink area gets sticky to walk on and the counter is sticky. I don't know if they don't have enough employees to clean or if they just don't clean regularly but it just gets frustrating which is why I have ended up going less and less. I would hope with so many new restaurants in the area, they would really be striving to provide better service but they just don't. Not only did they deny us paying in cash because they were counting the register EARLY, they also messed our order up and proceeded to be rude about it. Ordered through their app, but no curbside pickup, have to go through drive thru and wait for people to order, so no value ordering ahead. Then they put drinks in flimsy cardboard holder that didn't last getting out of parking lot, spilled drinks all over seat and floor, had to clean up with my favorite sweater. Went to front door to tell them what happened and get refill on spilled drink, they said I had to go through drive thru again. We have LOTS of options for take out right now, and restaurants are desperate for customers right now, this experience will have me go elsewhere. UPDATE: I reported my experience via Zaxby's website, got a call back from the store manager within minutes. However, all he could do was tell me to call next time to avoid drive thru (something the mobile app didn't mention, but that's not his fault), and asked who I spoke to at the door and apologize for not refilling the drinks. Nothing else was offered. Most restaurants I've been to, when there's a problem, they offer something because they want you to come back. Apparently, this Zaxby's store is not interested in me returning, good to know. Next time I'll just make the longer drive to Chic-Fil-A, they know how to do great customer service. read more

I used to love their Grilled Chicken Zalad, but will no longer order it because On two separate occasions lately, the grilled chicken was not cooked all the way through.
