I looked at the menu and opted to get the garlicky chicken schwarma bowl, but I wanted to make some modifications. I ordered the bowl with chicken schwarma, their balsamic date vinaigrette and a side of their tahini Caesar, half brown rice and half romaine, tomato and cucumber salad, cucumbers, feta. We order from here a lot and I want so badly to enjoy this restaurant but the staff and management has made it almost impossible. Almost every order has something missing, not to mention they start closing the store 30 minutes before they actually close, completely dismantling the drink station while orders are still coming in. They serve fresh Mediterranean bowls and wraps, choose the base, rice, lentils and greens you can have up two, choose the meat and add the toppings. I ordered half chicken and half Spicy lamb meatballs(half portion is 2 meatballs) added the garlic dressing and for an upcharge added Avocado. You cannot go there and not try the fresh juices and the Pita chips...yummy! The service is always good, but if you go around lunchtime be prepared to wait a while, lots of tables and chairs so don't worry you can eat in or take out, usually pretty clean. read more

Also ordered the shredded lab bowl tasty but the portion that was given was not very much. The shredded lamb was tasty but could have been a bit more meat in the bowl. I had never been to Cava but I had heard good things so we went for lunch. We ordered online and I went with the Spicy Lamb Meatball Pita. I will say I wish it was more Gyro meat then meatballs but I had never had it and I love lamb so I went for it. When customizing the pita I really loved all the options that were available. I also saw I could add Harissa Honey Chicken for only $1.25 more and with a name like that I had to try it. They also had so many dips and sauces you can have a field day customizing everything. We came to pick up our food and did have to wait a little but not too long. Once home I got into my Pita and wow some much flavor. I also really enjoyed how soft the pita was. The meatballs were good too but there were not that many in there so I'm glad I add the Harissa Honey Chicken. I will say about the pita that is is very messy so make sure to grab some napkins. All and all Cava was much better then I thought it would have been and I for sure will be going back. read more

While waiting for my son at his dental appointment, I wandered next door for a snack. I had never been to Cava, and am typically not a fan of assembly line places. I usually feel rushed and pressured to decide. So instead of taking the chances of social anxiety I opted to get a bowl "as is". The Harissa Avocado caught my eye. It's described as an colorful, vibrant, and bold bowl that gives you a double dose of spiciness with harissa honey chicken and hot harissa vinaigrette, feta, hummus, fire-roasted corn, avocado, pickled onions, Persian cucumber, basmati rice, and SuperGreens. I added pita chips, a refreshing lemonade to cool off, and a chocolate fudge brownie! It was so filling, I had to bring my leftovers home to eat later. It must be a good sign bc I find myself craving that bowl of spicy goodness. It's been a couple weeks, I don't know why I'm torturing myself. Mediterranean food has been one of my favorite foods out there. And CAVA is becoming to be my go-to place for such food, for the fact that they make ordering so simplistic. My favorite here is the "build your own bowl". I picked out from wide selections of greens, beans and rice as my base, then I pick my Protein(s) next, then I load that ish up with as much veggies and healthy stuff allowed by CAVA Law. Badabing-badaboom. You are done. It has been a great option for me as a grab & go food especially on nights when I work 12 hours. One "build your own bowl" is enough to feed me as 2-3 meals. SOME FUN FACTS: Compared to a typical American diet, the Mediterranean diet includes fewer meats and carbohydrates, higher amounts of monounsaturated (good) fats, and more plant-based foods like vegetables, whole grains, and nuts. The three star was a challenge to come up with because I wasn't sure which part did not deserve to Five Star. Customer service is Paramont for me that will make or break a review and that is why the service is definitely not a three. It was very disappointing that the young man who assisted us, and out of respect I will not use. His name was very cold, unfriendly, and really seemed more like I was a bother to him. Moreover, he was very very, and I have to say again very stingy with the servings that he provided. Now onto the food, I will have to say I really did like that lemon chicken! It was robust with flavor and I really liked the fresh ingredients. The food was a 4.5 star would have been five if the portion had been a little bit more for the money I paid. Did I eat at Cava twice in one day? Yes. Yes, I did. My husband is in the hospital, and I've been existing on takeout. Mostly french fries. My body told me enough is enough and I started looking at other options near the hospital. Cava is on the newer side and I decided a salad bowl with lots of "stuff" sounded fabulous. The store is spotlessly clean and the staff is friendly. So friendly, in fact, that when I said this was my first time and asked for recommendations, the server walked me through each and every item available. So kind. For lunch, I had a bowl with 1/2 greens and 1/2 saffron basmati rice (You can opt for a pita, too). I added hummus and tzatziki (you get to choose 3 out of 6 dips), and then 1/2 falafel and 1/2 roasted veggies from a selection of seven or eight proteins. From there, give me all the toppings: pickled onions, persian cucumbers, feta cheese, kalamata olives, tomato and onion salad... yum. I skipped the dressing and added pita chips, which were soft and chewy, but also crispy. Yum. Everything was fresh and delicious and the portion was huge. For dinner, I took my teen. He opted for a menu item: Harissa Avocado Bowl. The boy loves some spice. It had harissa honey chicken and hot harissa vinaigrette with Crazy Feta, hummus, fire-roasted corn, avocado, pickled onions, Persian cucumber, feta, basmati rice, and SuperGreens. He loved everything but the onions. I had a salad bowl this time, with two kinds of hummus, roasted white sweet potatoes and roasted veg, the same toppings, and an addition of the vegan garlic dressing on the side. Do they have kids manning the kitchen and counter, sure but what restaurant doesn't now. No no, not crunchy pita chips, but crunchy on the outer edges, warm, soft enough to tear, and fluffy on the inside. They have this seasoning on them that elevates the dips... or is perfect by itself. Absolutely amazing. The bowls are amazing as well. Definitely feels like fresh, quality ingredients. Their condiments and dips you can add to your bowl are fantastic. Several different toppings and dips. Beverages are Maine Root or unsweet and sweet iced tea, lemonade, blueberry drink and other flavors. One was cucumber water which I've never seen at a restaurant only at bridal showers. The food is great and so it the service. The pita is served in a huge paper wrap with a twist at the end. The falafel was especially enjoyable. The best part of the visit was the service. Zack was behind the counter and very polite and helpful. He definitely knew the food and happily answered any questions. He seemed happy to be there, which was refreshing. Once again, I didn't manage myself accordingly and found myself absolutely famished after a doctors appointment. I had been meaning to try CAVA for a few months and was pleased to see I was very near this location. I popped in and got the build a bowl. I had the splendid greens as a base. Added the harissa honey chicken, tzatziki, red pepper hummus, roasted corn, cucumbers, olives, and the tomato cucumber mix. The items that really set it off was the date vinaigrette dressing and the pickled onions. I could eat some combination of this again tomorrow. The ingredients are all super fresh, the chicken wasn't dry which is practically a miracle being it was 3:00 in the afternoon and not a peak meal time. The decor is minimal and tidy and all of the staff were super helpful and nice. Haily Dove and the guy with the beard and glasses were exceptional. I had seen this new place take over Zoe's kitchen, I had never been to one before. Walking in it's really similar to Zoes, quick Mediterranean food, ok I like that! We got in line and they were really busy! Like a line of 10 people the whole time we were there, when we got up to the front I wish they could kinda explain what everything was, the workers seemed stressed and just kinda look at you like what do you want!? You tell them what you want in a build your own bowl way, the signs telling you what everything is, are small stickers in the corner on the glass, you walk down the line just like chipotle getting what you want in your bowl. It felt rushed and I hoped I made good choices lol! My initial thoughts were they were kinda skimpy on our bowls, for 2 bowls and 1 drink it was around $30, pricey. But I will say once we started eating the flavors were there! The braised lamb was delicious! Very moist and flavorful! I also got some on the honey chicken and also thought the flavor on it was great! Love the mixing of savory, fresh and tart! By the end I couldn't finish my bowl and was nicely full! This time I made one with white rice, tzatziki, hummus, and their crazy feta which is outstanding. Added Harissa Chicken and Grilled Chicken, which is a nice combo that gives you a little heat, ripe avocado, mixed tomato and onion, and kalamata olives. Can you say Mediterranean? A little of their Garlic Dressing and you are going to flavor town.
