Got a pickup order and it was ready in 8 minutes staff was friendly and the food and beverage were good

I was surprised by the low rating, but after eating here I totally agree. This place is a mess. Slow service and the kitchen is in disarray. My food was left on the counter, but the girl didn't call my name. The guy behind me went up and pawed through the box, decided it wasn't his and put it back. She then called my name to take the food. I asked them to remake the order, but the food should not be left unattended at the counter. No manager in sight! Everyone was friendly but we waited 28 minutes to get our eat in order. Everyone around us was complaining about the wait. It was regularly taking at least 20 mins to get orders out and it was very frustrating. read more

0 stars if I could. Last time we went, they shorted us on food. We tried again today but made sure to check that our food was in the bag. Some of it was not. Again. This was my first time eating at a Zaxby's and I was pretty impressed. The restaurant building seemed kind of run down and the a/c was extremely cold. The staff was nice to us. The restaurant was pretty empty when we went, so maybe we lucked out on the customer service. We ordered fried pickles, chicken tenders, and fries. They ran out of several items. Everything we ordered was delicious in my opinion. Their chicken tenders have a distinctive taste (seasoning), I guess that's what makes their chicken different from other fast food chains. read more

Stopped in this location while heading from Atlanta,GA to Charlotte, NC I've never had such fresh food from Zaxby's and although they had only one register open, they guy that was working the register was nice, attentive and repeated your order back. I was so impressed with my food, I immediately took a picture of it. Somehow I hope someone high up the Zaxby's food chain sees it and uses it as a how to guide for giving a customer their food. I cannot tell you how many times I've ordered food from a Zaxby's and it was drowning in sauce. the amount of sauce I received was proportional properly for the amount of food I had and the onion rings were hot and fresh, not dried out like they'd been under a heat lamp for weeks. Friendly service, fast service and they were open. Not a positive experience otherwise. The chicken was Luke warm and dry. The fries were decent but not fresh. The toast was cold. The soda machine smelled like it's not cleaned regularly and the soda mix was off. This was my second visit and I get the impression that this location is poorly managed. read more

Ordered on a Saturday night through drive through, as soon as we pulled to the window our food was practically thrown at us and in disbelief we asked was it all in the one bag (yes). Well we get home and to our disappointment we were served old fries, burnt toast and old chicken!! Absolutely disgusted! If there was a negative stars rating that is what I would give, after 6 hours of driving from Raleigh NC on the way to Atlanta this was a perfect point to stop to pick up food for my wife and I, I checked online over an hour before getting there and saw them closing at 10:00pm, so adjusting my speed I arrive at 9:52, two cars in front of me at the drive through. I waited my turn and when I got to the part to place my order (sat there a minute or so) the lady came on the speaker and said "we are closed" no sorry, and turned off the lighted sign. Needless to say I will NEVER return to this place again, although I pass by this area at least 4 times a week. And I'll make sure that anyone that will listen hears my story of how you care nothing about customer service at all. read more

I love Zaxbys...but not this one. Stopped in on a Sunday evening at about 8 o'clock - 2 hours before closing time. The coke machine had poured water (or some other liquid) over the entire front area so much so that there was an inch puddle and all of the aisles away from it were a thick level of stickiness. But as there was a man from Coke there working on the machine I thought little of it. I then stood in line for at least 15 minutes while the cashier was trying very unsuccessfully to sort out two orders she had mixed up and gotten wrong. Our party ordered in two separate orders one after the other. When the first order came up, it was boxed as a to-go order even though I had heard him say for the order to be "for here." I expected my food would soon show up as I was the number after him. One by one numbers after me continued to be called until 5 other people had received orders larger than mine. I asked the cashier about my order number and told her I had not received it. She asked if I had a receipt and then told the cooks in the back that I was saying I hadn't gotten it. By the time I went back to my table to get my receipt, the cooks had found my order and plated it for me as the exact order I told the cashier I had placed. As I reached for the tray, she slid it back and said "I need to see your receipt." She then went line by line checking the order as if I was trying to steal one order of chicken fingers from zaxbys. She then refused to return my receipt to me which I wanted to keep to complete the survey. And by the way, the girl who was so skeptical about my order, Briannah, is the exact same one who took my order in the first place. So she knew I had ordered and paid already. While we were leaving, I noticed about 5 employees hanging out talking to other customers instead of mopping up the lake full of water around the drink machine which had been there now for at least 45 minutes by this point and was preventing customers from using it. Overall, this location seemed like a bunch of kids with no guidance or management. Even the worker I suspect was the manager was very young and clearly has no idea how to manage a full staff and customers. The word "sorry" was never spoken to me in the midst of the situation. I understand busy stores, but this location is just full of people who don't understand how to properly do their job and I will never be back. I will drive the extra 15 minutes to Toccoa's location instead. read more

Don't use their order online. I ordered got in the drive through line at the time it said my order would be ready. At the window I was asked to pull forward to wait. I waited over 10 mins after waiting 10 mins to get to the window. Several cars behind me who ordered at the drive through window all have received their orders and left before I received ours 20 mins after online pick up time and 15 mins after saying I was there and 10 mins after pulling forward to wait. read more

The people working here are teens who are too busy playing or sitting on their butt than to actually do their job. This is the worst Zazbys I've been to. The order is almost always wrong and the service is so freaking slow. If you try to fix your order they'll get upset and indignant. We've spoken to the manager on several occasions and we only got sarcasm back. The drive through workers either can't hear with faulty equipment or they just don't listen. We always have to repeat our order 2 or 3 times before they get it and the order is still wrong when we get the food! They just don't care here. read more

How is this restaurant still open? So, we stopped by Zaxbys on the way home. We ordered food worth $30 and its was crap. When we went to get our food we were missing a meal! When we told the cashier that we were missing food, she insisted that she looked through the meal and that we had all of our food! Then we showed her the receipt and our meal and she apologized for the mistake. When we ate our meal, the chicken was overcooked and burned, the fries were mushy, undercooked, and tasted stale! The tea was also terrible! I will NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! If you enjoy CRAPPY FOOD, come to this Zaxbys! P.s. According to previous posts, this place apparently has a cockroach problem. This is the second time in less than six months I've gotten spoiled rotten Cole slaw from Zaxby's. I have also gotten it from the Hartwell location. I took it back to the restaurant and was told that that's how their slaw smells. The manager was not willing to speak with me. They charged my credit card without providing any food services and their owner does nothing The manager asked that I come in and I live over an hour away -give them the order that was deleted online so they could refund me the amount charged. The order was deleted so I no longer have the details to get my money back. I am a long time customer of Zaxbys and normally get great service but I came through the drive thru tonight with my granddaughter and we waited over 15 minutes to place our order and no one came and ask . Finally my granddaughter pulled over to the side and no one was at the window and there was a female standing there not doing anything . My granddaughter had to go inside to place our order . Welcome to the restaurant that has a salt lick for sale. My grilled chicken was as salty as the Great Salt Lake and caused more indigestion than a bad deli sandwich. Ordering from the squawk box was odd as the young lady kept seeking confirmation of a regular Coke and a large Diet Coke. My repeat of medium Coca Cola and large Diet Coke didn't make a difference. There is NO changing table for children in the restrooms. I have a 20 month old and a 12 week old, traveling by myself from Charlotte to Athens. Had to change my kids outside in 92 degrees in the car. If they weren't already crying I would have gone to another restaurant nearby. Mentioned the inconvenience to the manager on duty, she was extremely apologetic and kind. Said that the owner continues to ignore complaints about this issue, refuses to spend the money to put them in. My family will not be visiting this Zaxby's again, not going to give money to a store that can't spend a couple hundred dollars to help out paying families. That's disappointing. I normally love Zaxbys but this was a disappointment. The chicken fingers were literally the size of my fingers and my husband's "boneless wings" were more like a small handful of bbq chicken bites. It was his first time eating Zaxbys and swears it is his last. I don't know if it was just this location or if the whole chain is like this now?
