Decided to swing in and grab salads since we ended up home later than expected. The young lady behind the counter took our order but she wasnt sure about how to add things. She just stood there and really didn't ask for any assistance, I spoke up and asked another associate for help because I wanted to make sure the order was correct. I've had to return my order 2 times in 2 days because there is a disconnect with the staff. The service is was okay until I had to complain and the staff seemed to have little to no care. My husband and I just ate at this restaurant, 11/24/2024 at 1:15 pm. We were welcomed by Saynah, and she soon took our order. By the time we got our drinks, our food was ready. I had the #1-3 chicken fingers, fries, and a piece of toast. The toast was nice and warm and delicious! The fries and chicken were freshly fried and hot, and after a short time they were devoured. It's located off of a busy street next to an apartment complex. We have been here several times on our way to Richmond, and the service is good. The food, on the other hand, is just ok. The fries yesterday were warm & so were the chicken strips. The food wasn't fresh at all. The worse part was my basket of toast that almost choked us to death. Almost no butter at all on the bread; just toasted bread. I am giving 3 stars because of my sub par food. I'm not sure if we will go back to this location. If we do, I'll go inside to make sure it's up to my standards. We won't be choking on that bread ever again. :) read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This location definitely needs new management. Visited this location over the weekend spent over $65 on food for me and my family there were missing items in my drive-through order so I went inside and was told that I had to pay for those items I proceeded to pay ended up waiting 15 minutes just for two small 8 ounce containers of coleslaw. There was no one in front of me waiting. It's unacceptable to have to deal with laughing joking all of that when the employee should be at work. Maybe if employees and managers did their job properly instead of laughing and joking customers will not be waiting so long and the drive-through line wouldn't be wrapped around the building every day. I consider myself something of a chicken finger aficionado, but I have never had a chance to eat at Zaxby's before. So now that I'm living in Virginia, I have my chance. I walked inside and the atmosphere than exactly impressed me. A lot of things seem to be just a little bit out of place or not completely clean. The table I sat in initially had a countertop that was a little sticky. Also the cup lids and napkins were kind of strewn about the counter. But at the end of the day, this is primarily about the food and their chicken fingers are incredibly impressive. First of all, I'm glad that the food took a good five minutes to come out. The reason for that is I know they were preparing the food fresh and that means so much. The chicken fingers didn't come off of some warmer, they were fried after I ordered them. They were incredibly hot, the breading was flavorful but not overpowering. And the chicken meat was so incredibly juicy too. The fries were nicely seasoned with seasoning salt, not just regular salt, so I give them props for that as well. I like both the Zaxby's sauce, which reminded me of a remoulade, as well as the honey mustard. However, the barbecue sauce was a little bit too heavy for what I usually like. And I always love some good iced tea, and they have a good flavorful one with a good amount of sweetness. Oh and any place that has the Coke freestyle machine gets points for me. We tried the fried pickles, which were oily, and what's the perfect drink to go with fried pickles? Iced tea, this was not iced tea, the sweet tea tasted like warm syrup. My friend wanted another drink besides her syrup, and when approaching the drink machine for lemonade, all the lemonade was out. Fries are unseasoned, zaxbys sauce is bland, and you could buy better chicken tenders at Walmart. Will not be coming here again. The only good thing is the bread.
