OH MY GOSH... that sauce is to die for! It's seriously what keeps us coming back. The service is always good and the atmosphere is great! There can be a wait during dinner, but they have a fun little bar window outside where you can grab a drink while you wait. They also have tons of fans outside to keep you cool, which is definitely appreciated in the beach heat. If you're looking for a casual, affordable spot with good food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere, Hamburger Joe's is definitely worth checking out!

I have never been more uncomfortable sitting in a restaurant in my life. I know that's a weird gripe, but these were some of the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat in. They hurt so bad. My kids were seated on the benches across from us, and they could barely even reach the table. My wife switched places with my son, and the benches were covered in what looked like footprints and dirt from people standing on them. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We started off with drinks. We all got soft drinks, and every single one of them was flat. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, and they were OK. The dipping sauce was great. My wife and son ordered the tacos, which they said were bland, tasteless, and pretty underwhelming. My daughter ordered a kids' cheeseburger, took one bite, and said it was disgusting. I wish they had been playing while we were still eating, but by that point we were so ready to get out of there. We were incredibly disappointed. The real shocker came when I got the check. For our family of four, it was almost $110 before the tip. This food was in no way worth that kind of price. I honestly would've rather gone to a fast-food restaurant. This place gets two stars simply because the staff we encountered were friendly and because of the live music. I chose 1/2 Smoky Pepper Jack Turkey sandwich and 1/2 the chipotle chicken & bacon spud. Both were delicious. My brother tried the grilled chicken club minus the cheese. He enjoyed his as well. My mom got the pecanberry salad. I almost ordered that myself since I love salads with fruit. It looked amazing and she said it was tasty as well.
