As far as chicken tenders go, you could do worse. The staff was attentive and the place is clean.

Always drive by and talked about it so we decided to try it out today. It's a very cool barn style fast food place. The cashiers were very nice. The wings pieces were mostly juicy and the Texas style toast were very buttery. The fries are thick cuts but still has a nice crunch on the outside which is great. Unbelievably slow service - and I was the only customer inside, and I saw only two cars in the drive-thru. My food sat in the window for awhile before the cashier (female, glasses, pigtail braids, snooty demeanor) noticed. The food was lukewarm at best. No Zaxbys sauce in my bag. I asked for one and the manager (?) wanted to argue about it. I know they hoard their condiments and charge extra for Zaxbys sauce but I didn't get the one that comes with the order to begin with. Zaxby's is horrible. Food sucks and the chicken strips are so small and skinny. They were hard. Fries cold. Sweet tea was OK. Have a choice of sauces. A friend and I happened to be out and about Friday evening late, and this Zaxbys was still open. So, against my better judgment, we stopped in. My previous experience here was not good. This time ... believe it or not, and even worse experience. Noted: the ice machine was empty and the cashier seemed to be not know what to do about it. I asked him to get me a cup of ice from the OTHER ice machine, used for drive-thru orders. One of our orders did not come with cole slaw as ordered. The cashier (actually a different cashier, but equally clueless) did not know how to handle the issue. He said he would "go and make some cole slaw." I passed. I don't like surprise ingredients. Lastly, all four trash containers in the restaurant were overflowing. There was no shortage of workers. Plenty of them had time to text on their phones, gab with friends, and blast pimp music on the loudspeakers. There were no customers inside and it was not close to closing time. Yet, the place looked trashy and the doors and windows looked like they had not had a good cleaning in, well, months. The prevailing attitude among the workers, none of whom looked older than about 20, suggests a lack of interest in food preparation, cleaning, and upkeep. My favorite fast food chicken place. This may be fighting words with people, but I think Zaxby's has the best chicken. I love the tenders with the Zax sauce. Their fries are delicious. My son who is very picky loves to stop there for fries and a Sprite. The Cobb salad is huge. Well worth the money. The service is quick and order is always correct. Staff is courteous. Terrible 3rd time there. A Lott of employees at the last two times. Seems they have a internal problem with turnover. Anyway, they put the new employees to take care of the customers and the experienced one tent to gravitate chatting and laughing around the office area. Food accuracy issues first two times. This third time they did not had side items available for example this time was coleslaw and the only option replacement was double the saggy and cold fries. Roberto the manager(?) was very rude and condescending when I politely asked for the egg rolls that were supposed to come with my salad. Never apologized and told me to have a seat and when he had them done he would send them over. It was easy to see why the store was empty. With his attitude I told his to keep the egg rolls. Zaxby's is a great chicken place. Their food is delicious and served well. They only work with one meat - chicken - but they do it well. You can get grilled or fried. Sandwich, tenders, or wings. What I appreciate are the various sauces for the wings, ranging from teriyaki to mild to spicy coatings. read more

We relocated to the area and missed having a Zaxby's close by... we stopped by this location about 40 mins before closing. We ordered the tenders meal for 2 with fries, toast and 8 tenders total. Every item we received was piping hot and fresh. The drive thru staff were also friendly so I'm sure we will be back. The Zax sauce of course makes the meal for us. read more

Finally came to Zaxby's to see what all the hype about this place was!! Everyone raaaaaaaaaves about it! I heard they are known for their chicken and toast that comes with the meals! So, we ordered the kickin' chicken sand which meal and the buffalo boneless chicken bite meal with teas. I asked for sweetener and they had ran out... the line moved fairly quick and we got our food in a timely manner- good timing although it was around lunch time. When we received our food everything was cold!!! Chicken was cold all the way through, which i do not understand because they had stated everything is made to order. Fries didn't come with the seasoning in meal description and we were kind of disappointed the onion rings didn't come with any type of sauce. Alright, I was pretty excited to try this toast SO I left it for last and well.... that too was a no-go. It was stale, cold as well and not flavorful. I've had a few good experiences here but having to ask for fresh food every time I order is an issue for me. After today this is my last time going here, it only takes one bad experience for me to stop coming to a restaurant. My food came out cold so I asked if it could be made fresh and it was nasty, if you're making someone wait 15 min for food I expected it to be good, all they did was pour sauce all over the food I couldn't even eat it. If they don't want to make it good just let me know and I'll get my money back and go somewhere else. read more

Went in for first time after stopping at Wayback two doors down looking for GF option only to be told both that they were out of GF buns and they were in the freezer and it would take too long to thaw. I asked Zaxby employee if they had a GF menu. A teammate said they didn't but she could recommend the grilled chicken with lettuce; no bun. She made it for us herself; it was delish and we were thrilled with the great service! I hope Zaxby's does get a GF item one of these days but in meantime will come back again for best service in town!!! read more

I'm from Dayton, Ohio and this is my first time ever at a Zaxby's and I must say this place is the BOMB!!!!! Food was amazing, almost reminded of Raising Canes, and the staff was even better!!! The food could be good. They just don't understand English. I ask to have my French fries extra crunchy, that means drop them twice and let them cook longer. I finally took them back to the counter because they were cold sitting under a heat lamp. I ask if they could be reheated was told no they had left the kitchen and for health rules they could not re cook them. So why not cook some fresh ones and cook them crunchy? Awesome chicken, coleslaw some of the best we've ever had. He had the Tongue Torch hot BBQ sauce. Very hot and tasty. Great place.
