We were craving Mediterranean food and saw there was one in Pacifica so we decided to come and try them. Their service here was remarkable, they offered us some Turkish tea and Turkish delight. We ordered the chicken gyro wrap and the chicken gyro plate and both dishes were delicious. Their ambiance is very bright and only offers minimal seating. Overall I would come visit them again!

Been meaning to try Zaza. Every time we went to the Green Enchilada, we would walk by the restaurant. So we decided to try it today. We ordered to share: French Fries. Hubby ordered Chicken Pita meal and I ordered Beef kebab meal. To drink, we each ordered, Turkish coffee (strong and bitter), Turkish Tea (light) and coke. My favorite part was the rice and salad, well aside from the beef. Beef was tasty. Honey's chicken was ok. Not too dry. But it would be less dry if they had some sauce. Like me, he loved the rice. We would definitely go back especially since the service was awesome.

Zaza Grill is scrumptiously delicious! From the front of the house to the waiter the service was by one person who did a phenomenal job tonight 7/29/25. He was so friendly and his hospitality was the most considerate I have experienced in the restaurant business. We ordered Gyro Salad, Lamb Kebab and Dolma appetizer. The salad, rice and hummus on the lamb kebab plate was delicious, best I have had. Gyros on the salad were very salty. It's only preference. If you like more salt, this would be perfect. Ambiance was homey and comforting.

*** 3.5 stars *** Visited over the 4th of July weekend and I'm going to have to agree with Cherylynn N's review from 9 months ago. Doesn't seem much has changed as far as salt level and under seasoned hummus. Party of 9 and staff very welcoming but otherwise, very basic service. Food was decent but living in the East Bay, there's a plethora of Middle Eastern food that I prefer as items are seasoned better and delivered hot. :: Lamb/beef gyro wrap - most the table said they enjoyed with no leftovers :: Chicken Kebab Plate - 3.5 stars - dry pieces and sister said the rice was salty :: Kofte Kebab - 4pcs - 3 stars - salty, room temperature food. Hummus was eh and not flavorful with the highlight of the dish being the salad. I basically ate 1 kofte and boxed the rest. :: Combo gyro plate - cousin devoured but it didn't look appetizing and looked dry. :: Complimentary Turkish pide bread - cut into 2 inch pieces - fresh and fluffy :: Complimentary dessert: Kazandibi - caramelized milk with pistachio had a great flavor but texture was very firm. I was expecting more custard-like texture but it was more dense. Zaza Grill is a small spot with traditional music playing. Such a lovely place with delicious food and even better service! Everything was yummy, and you can definitely tell they care about their plating. Our server (maybe the owner) was so friendly and kind to us, and even offered us Turkish tea on the house! Very nice interior and music. After coming from 100+ weather in the South Bay, feeling the cool breeze while exiting the car was the best feeling ever. It's like flinging your bra off at the end of the day. Ladies, you know what's up! Zaza Grill opened in January 2024 taking over Redeye Grill (Turkish). Open for takeout, delivery, indoor dining, and dog-friendly outdoor dining. Fast-casual - order, pay, and seat yourself. I saw staff take orders from some seated diners so that was confusing. M E N U Mediterranean and Turkish fare. Halal meats. No alkie. F O O D * Complimentary Pide Dry and stale. I wish they had warmed it up to give it a second life. I ordered the Zaza Mix Grill and it was absolutely inedible. The meat smelled rotten -- like it was completely spoiled and not fresh at all. I could not eat a single bite. This was a disgusting experience and a total waste of $27. I strongly warn everyone: do NOT order from this restaurant. If I had known about the food quality before, I would have never placed this order.

We came here for a family dinner at last minute, we didn't know it's a fast casual restaurant. The service was 5 stars they let us put tables together and attended us very well. The food is as good as the customer service. Portions were more than enough to fill us up. We ordered the Zaza mixed grill, grilled salmon and chicken lemon soup. I think this is the second incarnation of this place? Regardless, get a salad to share, and something with eggplant for a main dish. The meat selection is good, but you're missing out if you don't get eggplant. read more

We stopped in here last night for something quick. I got a chicken gyro wrap and my husband's was a beef and lamb gyro wrap. My only complaint was that it was dry... the tzatziki went a long way to helping with that. My husband loved his wrap as is. If ever in the area again, I'd definitely eat here. read more

Love this place! Small and attractive casual restaurant with terrific Mediterranean food. You order before you sit down. Ask to see the paper menu if you need to know all the ingredients. The owners are gracious and friendly. Same with the kitchen staff. My favorite is the Pomegranate Salad freshly made with goat cheese, walnuts, onions, pomegranate seeds, and a few orange segments. I like it so much, I haven't tried too many other things. Friends have enjoyed the wraps, grilled octopus, falafel, and chicken kebab. The Greek Salad is great, and you can add protein to it. Plenty of parking in the Pacific Manor parking lot. So nice to have such a great place in Pacifica! read more

Best food! My friend and I found this place by accident and arrived right before closing. I thought they'd be mad but nope -- they were happy to see us! We ordered the lemon chicken soup and it was legit the best I've ever had. We also got the tasting platter with hummus, alongside all these AH-mazing sauces. And right when we ran out of pita bread, while I was considered putting my face into the remaining sauce goodness, they saved my dignity by giving us some more. I live in SF and would definitely make a trip here again just so my husband can experience the food. read more

The two dishes that were a huge disappointment were the lamb shank and the moussaka. The lamb was not fully cooked and wrapped in a coating of fat. The moussaka was mostly potato and very little eggplant. Both dishes were awful. We will not be going back unless they can provide some proof that their food is better. Enjoyed a fabulous dinner here last night! Hubby and I are both middle eastern so the bar is high for kabob, dolma, and all such foods. The beef kabob was juicy, rice was delicious, and so was the spanakopita. I had the mixed grill, too much food but everything yummy! The host was beyond sweet and responsive. They just need a liquor license so I could have a glass of wine and they'd be 10 stars! read more

Looks like this place is under new management. Current owner has taken over a month ago. I came here to have lunch and it was a nice day Friday. Come out and support the community! Unfortunately, a few neighbors had shut down. If it's a nice day, opt to eat outdoors. If it's rainy, go inside! I had a lamb kebab plate. read more

My first time here and I can't wait to go back! Usually I will order certain things that I usually measure a Mediterranean restaurant by but it was my birthday and I was feeling adventurous so I ordered a couple of dishes that were totally new to me. First was manti, a generous pile of small beef filled dumplings, deliciously seasoned on a bed of garlicky yogurty goodness. I also had the pomegranate salad, even though it was something I could make myself, because it sounded so refreshing and it was! For dessert I went with the popular kunefe that I'd seen reviewed online. I was so excited about it that I ordered it along with my main meal instead of waiting. Turns out that was serendipitous bc they make it to order and it takes extra time. I don't think I'll ever be able to order a different dessert there, that's how good it was. Filled with some kind of melted stretchy cheese. I will definitely order the manti again as well, the salad only if I could get a half order or split it with a friend or two. it's very generous and probably meant to be eaten as a main (you can add a protein to make it so.) I ordered it bc knew I was going to bring home half the monti and half the dessert, both of which can easily be reheated. My sister really enjoyed her lamb shank and bro in law enjoyed his half beef half lamb wrap. I may never find out how good their moussaka, hummus, falafel, or babaganoush (sorry can never spell it) are bc the dishes I can't get elsewhere are so good! read more

Went here for a takeout. The chicken kebab & combo gyros were superb. The kunafeh too was so awesome & crispy on the outside. Next time we want to try the falafel & pistachio baklava. Found this delightful little place in Pacifica for a quick lunch. Had the Spinach pie and boregi which were both amazing. The lamb kebab were some of the juiciest. The chicken gyros were also delightful. The turkish tea was just what we needed to warm up. Hope to be back here again. read more

We dined at this restaurant last weekend. It's a small restaurant with very lovely staff. Their portions are quite generous. I have to give a special shout out to their kunefe dessert. It's so good that I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a better one even back in Turkey. read more

Thought I would give this new place a try first of all I would like to congratulate you on your new business and welcome to the neighborhood.!! We were staying at a hotel nearby and did not expect to find a hidden gem like this in the neighborhood. The ambiance was also pleasant, with soft music and clean air.

We walked in tired, cold, hungry, and facing a long drive home. And then everything just... felt right. The music immediately set the tone. The way they said hello. The way they took our order. The way they talked with us. There was a warmth in the room that you could feel right away. At one point, they all stopped to sing happy birthday to one of their staff members. Instead of feeling like we were watching someone else's moment, we somehow felt included in it. They even shared a slice of cake with us. My husband started speaking Kurdish with them. He speaks Sorani and they spoke Kurmanji, so they communicated however they could, in Kurdish, in English, and with lots of smiles and laughter in between. Watching him connect with people who made him feel at home was really special. Then came the tea and kunafa, which were absolutely incredible. We hugged them, took a photo together, and by the end of the night, it felt like we'd known them for years when we'd only just met. I left feeling warm and loved. My husband left feeling nostalgic. We both left feeling restored. There's something really beautiful about sharing cultural food and hospitality. Sometimes you walk into a restaurant looking for dinner and end up finding something you didn't even realize you needed. For me, it felt like I got to witness a little piece of my husband's family and culture right here in California. And somehow, by the end of the night, it felt like a little bit of ours too. We still talk about Ciya often, and honestly, we're already talking about having them cater a future family gathering

What upset me even more was how this was handled when I called the restaurant to let them know. Instead of showing concern, the woman I spoke with told me that she ate the food herself and was "fine," which came across as dismissive and unwilling to even consider my experience. I understand that not every issue is clear-cut, but a response like that lacks basic customer care. At the very least, I would have expected some empathy or a willingness to look into it. Food safety and customer service both matter, and unfortunately this experience has made me hesitant to return.

I recently visited Zaza Grill and was thoroughly impressed with everything we tried. The falafels were absolute perfection - light and airy on the inside while satisfyingly crispy on the outside. Just the right texture combination that's so hard to find! We also ordered the Zaza Wrap with chicken and another with lamb & beef gyro on a plate, which came with a great salad. All of the food tasted incredibly fresh. I especially enjoyed the lamb and beef portion, which was flavorful and tender, while my wife preferred the chicken, which was equally delicious. The service was very helpful and attentive throughout our meal. The staff was friendly and made excellent recommendations when we asked about their specialties. We were lucky enough to discover this gem on it's grand opening. Everything we got was amazing... highly recommend the chicken lemon soup, the red lentil soup, the vegetarian falafel platter, and the beef kebab. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too! The service was excellent. The interior was clean and beautifully decorated, perfect for dining in. The carry-out option was fast and convenient. The food is absolutely fantastic! I'm thrilled that I discovered this place on Yelp because my son adores Mediterranean cuisine, and now it's going to be one of our regular spots. We tried the chicken kebab and grilled salmon, both of which were outstanding. Even my little girl declared it one of her favorite Mediterranean places. We had eaten at Zaza a few times and would have given it four stars. We hadn't been there in a while and thought we'd try it again. We had the grilled octopus, lamb shank, and pomegranate salad. I was really disappointed with my visit. The food is overpriced for what you get--tiny portions and nothing memorable in terms of flavor. For the price, I expected something far better.
