Strictly for their to go salad. First off it's pricey for what you get. Small portion and I did not like their dressing. There was hardly anything in the salad like I would have liked more veggies and feta. So for around $15 they needed more red onions, cucumbers, etc for their Greek Salad. Small Mediterranean place but a great find with Turkish music. Counter service but person behind counter was super helpful in finding us vegan substitutes. We ordered two items: Cold appetizer sampler (3.5/5) - combination of hummus, esme, shakshuka, baba ganoush and warm bread. The hummus was a bit too creamy but still tasted good. The esme was the standout dish in this sampler. Great taste that grows on you with each bite. The baba ganoush tasted delish while cold, surprisingly. The shakshuka was good tasting as well. The bread was unique and not the pita I was expecting, probably better as it was served warm. Falafel (3/5) : We ordered the falafel as it was not included in the cold sampler combo. This is where my wife and I broke on taste. I felt it was just right but the wifey thought it lacked salt. Additionally we felt at $11, the 5 falafels was a pricey dish and we expected it would be served with bread or hummus or something else. Decided to walk in here for dinner a few weeks ago and had the best Turkish dinner experience! All the meat was 100% halal and the staff was friendly and helpful. Not to mention the inside is so well kept and nicely decorated too. They had a special iftar menu which was such great value too! The hummus was true to avocado flavor, but was very very bland. I did enjoy that it was airy like mousse. The veggies I asked for in lieu of pita were fresh and crisp. The food was very flavorful and the customer service was exceptional. They has just made fresh rice pudding and the server recommended it to us and it was so warm and delicious!! We found this place as we were returning from the airport dropping one of our family. My son who is 7 years was so happy with the food that he asked me if he can meet the chef. We took a take out so that was not possible (next time!') .But the chicken sheesh kabob plate and chicken curry plate both tasted so fresh and flavorful. False advertising on hours! Their website and storefront both say open until midnight, but when we arrived at 11:15 p.m. on a Friday, the door was locked and an employee told us they were closed. We drove all the way from SFO to come here, and the staff couldn't have cared less. If you can't stick to your posted hours, update your sign and website. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I was visiting Burlingame for the morning and caught up with a friend at this new eatery that had just opened up. As we entered the owners were setting up for a photo shoot to advertise their food. I love Mediterranean food! I love Turkish dish that has yogurt in it. Here I had the homemade menti. Their version of dumplings in yogurt. If tangy and zesty is your thing then I would say give it a try. We were offered a complimentary house salad with tangerine and pomegranate. It had a wonderful flavor all mixed in the salad. Decided to grab dinner here tonight and was unfortunately greatly disappointed. The place itself is very poorly lit. Dark and dingy. And they need to invest at least in a fan as it was almost unbearably stuffy and hot in there. The food was different than I've had at other similar places. The hummus had a weird burnt taste to it and instead of being served with the usual pita bread, was served with their own housemade bread which was an odd pairing to me. My kids and wife all ordered the chicken gyro wraps, and I myself got the lamb and beef gyro plate. All were extremely greasy and I've definitely had much better at other locations. Service itself was ok. The girl working handled our orders but didn't provide much else after that. We were the only ones eating in there on a Sunday night which should have been a clear sign that the place is not too good but we decided to give it a shot anyway. We will not be back and suggest that anyone else considering going here check out other spots before settling here. read more

I love Mediterranean food (I'm Greek), and I've been to almost every kebab / wrap/ med restaurant from San Bruno to Redwood City- multiple times, and most are decent... BUT THIS PLACE STANDS OUT! The food is on the higher end! And for comparable prices as other places. It's delicious, presented beautifully, and the service is excellent. In the day it's more casual and you order at the counter, at night, still casual, but they serve you at the table. I've been a few times in the past and got my regular go-to I get at most Mediterranean places, chicken kebab salad, or chicken kebab plate. And this one consistently stood above the rest. One of the best baba ganoush and falafel sandwiches I've had in a long time with an incredible price right in Burlingame! The baba ganoush was smoky and freshly made with chunks of delectable grilled eggplant. And the falafel sandwich! Oh man, so herbaceous and with an excellent texture. Not too crunchy, not over fried, not dry. Perfection. And it paired perfectly with the yogurt or hummus sauce and the veggies in the wrap as it gave it an acidic brightness to round out the falafel flavor.
