    Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita

Visited for a work lunch and left stuffed! We will definitely be back in the future for more celebrations! The cucumber jalapeño margaritas was refreshing and very good!

Very friendly and welcoming. Excellent food! Yum! We had the ribs and salmon. Having traveled far and wide, this food is excellent!

I work nearby and many of my coworkers eat here regularly. I had been once and liked the apps we shared, but it was business. Husband and I came after a funeral and for a change from our usual spots ( Times, Tap Room, Albasha). Atmosphere was ok- kind of quiet, yet all employees seemed very busy. Our server was exactly that- a server. Our waters and tea stayed filled, but there was no friendly conversation about the weather.... or anything else! The food was very good! We wanted the cauliflower appetizer, but they were out. We ordered hummus. It was priced at $15.95. Our waitress asked if we wanted cucumbers with it, I said yes assuming it was included. Yet, that added an extra $4 for half a cucumber. It was good, but not worth $20! The Thai ribs - AMAZING!! I rarely eat meat, but my goodness. We ordered almond chicken salad, ribs, corn grits, and braised collard greens. Everything was delicious! We'll be back for sure, and hopefully cauliflower will be back also! I hate dropping $100 on a Thursday night dinner, but tonight it was worth it.

We had our luncheon there for my nonprofit organization and it was great. From calling to set up the room, to closing out the bill. The room was ready when we arrived and I did arrive a little early. The accommodated my limited menu I put together and the manager even helped me out with a little something I needed without hesitation. The server, Brandon, was great. He did an amazing job to say he served 11 of us and worked the bar. Even made me a drink that I requested. The food was hot and delicious. Some people had ribs, some had the chicken, burgers and some of us had the trout. The bread pudding that some ppl ordered was humongous, I thought it was a little to big and kinda dry. You might need the sauce on it. I tasted one without the sauce. The brownie was good but it probably would have been better if it was hot. Restroom was clean and smelled great. All in all, great experience.

A huge chunk of sweet potato pecan bread pudding swims in a sauce straight from HEAVEN! You've got to have it!

ALAS! There IS a divine dinner still in the world. Zea is where it is. 'Dined light this evening on appetizers and sides (one of each for my party of two) and a shared dessert. Perfection came in a stack of ginger-soy ribs and a bowl of yellow corn grits. It truly filled the hungry traveler's belly. A row of shrimp lined up with a side of bacon and greens solely for my fellow diner's culinary enjoyment! Those greens could have been a meal by themselves. A MUST-HAVE, the sweet potato pecan bread pudding pleased the palate for CERTAIN! It has been a LONG TIME since I had a better meal out. The restaurant was pleasingly quiet. Our server was a shear delight! If you have never been to Zea, you have missed a REAL TREAT! Sigh.

Zea is such a fun chain, they switch up their menus with seasonal menus, not just standard menus. I truly miss their corn soup.

The food is decent but the service could be a lot better in many areas. For those with food…read moreallergies, please triple check before ordering in or eating your food. We arrived on a Friday night without reservations and waited about 30-40 minutes for a table. First, we got a drink by the bar and stood around. Then when seats opened up at the bar, we sat there and ordered two appetizers. Before ordering, I asked one of the bartenders if something was gluten free and she came back with a sheet of paper labeled GLUTEN listing about 25-30 things that were gluten free such as dressings, jambalaya, and egg rolls (which we found out later they are NOT gluten free). I have a picture but I won't share it so that no one is deceived. A few minutes after ordering, we were buzzed that we had moved up the waiting list and to check in. My husband checked in and came to tell me to go to the hostess stand because they are ready to seat us. He went to let the bartender know to send our two appetizers to our table. When I got to the hostess stand, the hostess said that we already had been seated and to just walk upstairs. Even after I explained we had not gotten seated yet because my husband had just checked in, she instructed my party to simply head upstairs and just turn right. We walked upstairs and found a table we assumed we should sit ate. Then when my husband arrived, he went to look for menus because we didn't have any. Ava came by to greet us as our two appetizers of Sauteed Crab Claws and Boudin Egg Rolls arrived. Ava was really friendly and personable. I was so happy the sheet had indicated they are gluten free. I ate half an egg roll and started to suspect it was not gluten free. I flagged down Ava and asked and she said she was pretty sure they were not gluten free. Ava came back to apologize that the egg rolls had been changed and were no longer gluten free, and then are gave me an updated "2026 Gluten-Free Allergy Menu" with a subheader "All items listed are SAFE for you to eat." The egg rolls were no longer listed. For my entree, I ordered the Charbroiled Catfish served over spinach. It came with a salad and apparently a side. I thought my spinach was the side so I didn't ask about my side options and Ava didn't ask me what I wanted as a side. I had a side mixed green salad with no croutons. Surprisingly, everyone's side mixed green salad looked different when they arrived. Mine had croutons. Another had cheese on their mixed greens while another person was served iceberg lettuce. It was very strange. My catfish arrived with French Fries which are not gluten free. I flagged down another waitress who had checked in on us earlier to explain that I wasn't offered a side and that I couldn't eat the French Fries. I asked for cooked veggies and she brought me cauliflower. I thoroughly enjoyed my catfish and cauliflower. Others are the table had the Seafood Lasagna, Seafood Pasta, Charbroiled Oysters, and Crawfish Etouffee. Everyone liked their dishes. The portions are really big. The meal would've been much better if they were better trained on how to handle food allergies. And what the hostess did was not customer friendly at all. We learned from the second server that Ava was in training. Ava did a good job as she was really friendly, attentive, and seemed to genuinely care. I don't think she understood what a gluten allergy was but she followed up when asked to check on the egg rolls.

Everything was delicious, as usual, and the service is always top-notch. Lots of great beer on tap, super-friendly folks waiting to help you with food or a drink, and a super-cool location that really takes advantage of the natural surroundings. Even if you're not hungry, you should come get a beer and walk down to the little river; Louisiana can be magical with the right attitude.

The food was absolutely delicious from beginning to end. We ordered several of restaurants traditional signature dishes. The Lump crabmeat and Brie soup was the best bisque I've had in quite a while. The Softshell crab was massive, filled with Crab and shrimp dressing. It's a little on the pricy side but definitely worth it! It was that good. A lot of us started with the Tyler specialty drink and loved it, it tasted like an orange creamsicle and lemonade combined. So refreshing and fun not too sweet. We also ordered the bruschetta, which was super tasty, and everyone was obsessed with the nuts on top. Such a good touch. Several people in our group got steaks, and every single one was cooked perfectly. We tried the scallops with potatoes, absolutely perfect, and the salmon was delicious too. Honestly, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And the desserts... WOW. The banana bread pudding was so delicious. We had to try a few of their other desserts as well, and not a single one disappointed, every single one was spectacular. I only got a picture of the banana bread pudding, but trust me, they were all incredible. The chocolate lovers in our group absolutely loved the Chocolate Sheba cake too. Everything was so good. The place itself looks spectacular. From the moment you walk in, the seating area is so cool and inviting, I had to take pictures! They accommodated our large party so well, and the service was completely top-notch from start to finish. Our server was amazing, and we loved every second of the experience. 10/10 would eat again!!
