My wife and I showed up for our scheduled 5 PM appointment yesterday fully prepared to buy a vehicle. My original contact, Tristan, passed us to Jason, who we were told "owns the same car" and would "take care of us." Instead we sat there from 5 PM to almost 9 PM while they fumbled numbers like amateurs. I agreed to more concessions than I've ever made at a dealership simply because we were trying to get the deal done. The finance manager looked me right in my face and promised he'd call first thing in the morning since all the banks were closed by the time we wrapped and Jason looked me in the eye, shook my hand, and promised he'd call by 1 PM with a yes or no, and that if the deal was approved and we accepted, they'd send the paperwork electronically and HE would deliver the car to us TODAY so we didn't have to make the 45+ mile drive back. What did we get? Silence. Total silence. No call. No text. No email. No update. Not a single ounce of professionalism. At 4:30 PM, after an entire day of being ghosted, I finally called THEM for an update. Still no Jason. Eventually, 5 minutes before closing I called again and finally got ahold of Jason who was acting like WE were inconveniencing HIM. His excuse? "We've been slammed. We sold like 25 cars today." Congratulations. None of those 25 people were sitting in your dealership for four hours last night while you shook their hand and made promises you never intended to keep. I reminded him that we were there first, that we accepted the deal, and that he promised delivery today. His response? "If I've got three or four customers in front of me in the dealership, I've gotta look at what's in front of me." Translation: "You're not important. You're at the bottom of the list and your deal doesn't matter anymore." Then he had the audacity to try to push delivery to Monday, despite promising delivery TODAY if we accepted the numbers which we did. He just didn't care. And this part is REALLY rich: The front desk lady Janet told us that Jason himself had been out delivering vehicles to other customers today. So his excuse of "it's too late" was a straight-up lie. Then came the truth Jason didn't mean to admit when he told me: "It's too late and I'm not gonna waste two hours of my time delivering it to you when I can sell to people standing in front of me." There it is. We weren't worth his time. His exact words. Then he followed it up with this gem: "If you would've came back today, we would've wrapped up the deal." No, Jason. That wasn't the agreement. You told us last night that we would not have to come back whatsoever. You told us you would call by 1 PM. You never did. You never even tried. I had to call YOU. This man only in anatomy, not character, shook my hand, made promises, broke every single one of them, ignored me all day, then told me to my face I wasn't worth delivering the car to, after AGREEING to the deal he gave us. When I told him a man is only as good as his word and his word clearly meant nothing, he hung up on me. Coward move, but not surprising. They ran my credit multiple times, wasted hours of my time, strung me along for two days, lied to my face, and then admitted we were the bottom of the priority list because they didn't consider us as profitable as "people standing in front of them." If you want to be lied to, ignored, manipulated, and treated like trash, this is your dealership. If not, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. Jason has zero integrity. The dealership has zero integrity. And neither one deserves anyone's business. I'll be making sure everyone I know hears exactly how they operate. Finally, to Jason (since you couldn't take hearing it over the phone): a man's word is the only currency he controls, and you proved yours holds no value. Thank you for showing me exactly who you are before I ever made the mistake of becoming your customer. I'm grateful you exposed that before I signed a single document. Consider this review my signature instead. Your handshake means nothing -- fortunately, my review does. I may have ended today with no car, but at least I still have the integrity you never had to begin with.

For example, one of the other car dealerships prevented us from taking the car to an independent mechanic! You know they were hiding something with the car. Anyway, not only did Texas Cars Direct let us take the car to an independent mechanic, they were professional, not pushy like some of the other guys we dealt with, and easy to do business with. Mike, it was a pleasure doing business with you. Thank you for selling us the newest car in our company fleet! P.S. There was some minor issues but the most glaring was the check engine light. David said the issues would be taken care of, go to lunch and come back in a couple of hours. He called me and said they needed a part that would not be there until Monday. David paid for my flight home and said the truck would be shipped to me. I received the truck late the next week. When driving from where I received the truck, the check engine light came on. I notified him of this issue and he said to have it fixed locally and he would reimburse me. It has been several months and many texts and calls and still no reimbursement. Up until this point, David lived up to his word but I am extremely disappointed to have to write a partial negative review due to not receiving this promised reimbursement. In addition, the check engine issue took two times to resolve, the second requiring an additional cost which I decided to absorb thinking I would get the promised reimbursement. In closing, David did live up to his word on everything until this reimbursement issue so I can't give a 5 star review due to this

Since I did own my last car for 10 years, the maintenance issues just got to where it was not economical to keep it. My father told me to check out Enterprise (rental cars) for their used car sales. I already knew I was NOT going to a car dealership. I instead found a few cars with Hertz in Killeen. I was lining up financing at my credit union and the loan officer referred me to CMC. I never would have considered buying a car from a little place on the side of the road but it turned out GREAT! I was shown a few cars that were too small but they said they had one being serviced and would be getting it back the next morning. That car turned out to be the one I purchased. I got a decent amount for my trade in and was on my way in about an hour. This NEVER happens, but I even got my plates the next day. Overall stress free and positive experience.

I am an older woman and appreciate being treated with respect - not condescension- and Justin (#2- mgr.) was completely respectful - heard my offer, countered and we came to an agreement with the least drama I have had in MANY years of car-buying! I was worried that it was the dreaded "Hemi Tick" and it turns out that I was correct. My lifters had collapsed and had damaged the cam shaft. I was also experiencing an issue with the power steering when the vehicle was put in reverse. They found that the power steering fluid was low (I was surprised that was even an issue seeing as how I just purchased the car. All fluids should have been checked prior to selling, hence the 4 Star rating). But it wasn't that big of an issue, other than having to pay for the power steering fluid. However, I am glad I purchased the warranty so the engine issue was covered, just have to pay my deducible. Overall, service was pretty good, and done in a very timely manner, considering what had to be done. My representative Jonathan was very helpful and kept me informed of what was going on with my vehicle.

Went in here yesterday to check out the one with less miles for 43K. It had a ton wrong with it cosmetically on the interior, like giant scratch marks from a dog on the inside of the trunk door, a cracked mirror, etc.. They ran my husband's credit. Everything was good to go. We were going to trade in our Nissan, which we knew we would be adding some of that to our new loan since we still owed on it. When all the paperwork was set and done with what they were offering, the price had jumped from 43K to 48K and they had us with a walkout price of 58K for a used vehicle that has 54,000 miles on it and its own set of cosmetic issues. The sales guy said the finance guy wanted to meet with us to discuss the changes so we walked over there, sat down and we were then told he was too busy to meet with us. Ridiculous. Please make sure you're checking the online price and the paperwork if you choose to risk it here.
