I've been to Zedric's a couple times. Both times I have been impressed with the taste and quality of the food. If I lived or worked closer to a location I would probably be a regular. Everything is pre-prepared and is "heat and serve". They run the gamut from Thai to Italian. Tonight I had a balsamic chicken over penne with artichoke. We both loved it. I also had a kale salad, the only thing was that I wish it had a touch more dressing. My kiddos had a chicken breasts with broccoli and pasta with marinara sauce. Everyone was very happy. Like Brent, the only thing that is keeping me from 5 stars is that the prices are a touch high considering I could eat at a restaurant for the same price. I would also like to see family sized meals. Just tried Zedric's for the first time. I walked in, picked up the turkey burger entree and a side of brussel sprouts, and was in and out in five minutes. The space is clean, open, and has plenty of available seating in case you want to heat and eat your meals on the spot. The turkey burger and sprouts were flavorful and filling for the portion size. I feel like I had a much better lunch than trying to find a salad/ lighter option at any fast food/ fast casual restaurant. 4.25 stars. I had been curious about Zedric's for quite a long time, but every review I read made me question why I'd ever go here. It sounded like people were justifying small, pricey better-than-average reheated food because it was healthy. Pretty much everything about that sounded unsatisfying to me so not surprisingly I waited a year before I decided to give Fit with Flavor a fighting chance. The long and short of it is I was wrong. This place is legit, but I'd suggest it only if you meet the following criteria: 1. Do you ever lift, bro? Because if you don't care about your body enough to voluntarily move around heavy pieces of iron every so often, then you aren't going to get the full effect of their offerings. The paleo meals here are absolutely perfect for people who do stuff like Crossfit. And don't worry; if you despise the weight machine, there are plenty of low-carb options for the frail types. And I'm kidding, I don't have anything against the frail types and neither does Zedric's. I digress. 2. You can tell when you put healthy food into your body. Look, I just got back from an all you can eat BBQ festival which was wonderful and awesome, but I also felt like complete garbage for the next eight hours or so. You know how I feel when I eat Zedric's food? Like a Greek God on steroids. And probably X too. It doesn't matter. The reality is you can feel the nutrients coursing through your body and that is certainly part of the draw for me. If you aren't that in tune with your body, oh well. Have another Egg McMuffin, I guess. 3. You aren't trying to gain weight. Sure, all of this food is packed with protein and can keep you reasonably full (I say "reasonably" because quite honestly I can eat two of these without even stopping for air) and is actually GREAT for lifting, but if you are just trying to bulk up, may I suggest peanut butter, ungodly amounts of whey protein, chocolate milk, and all the meats? It's definitely cheaper though I feel for your long-term health. With all those caveats out of the way, you are ready to eat!!! And eat you shall. I'm a very new customer, but here are my ratings for what I've tried so far... Paleo Beef Meatballs over Zoodles (5/5): Totally scoffed at the idea of zucchini noodles which ended up being great. Meatballs were outstanding. Definitely would get this again. Protein Bento Box (3/5): Salty grilled chicken, nice husks of smoked gouda, a few grapes, and some questionable crackers for a little over 5 dollars. Meh. Turkey Ragu over Spaghetti Squash (5/5): You know why this is there most popular dish? Because it is better than anything that was ever meant to be microwaved ever. Grilled Pork Chop with Sweet Potato Hash (3/5): The hash is great. The pork chop was a bit dried out for my tastes, but the seasoning was nice. I'd probably pass for other options. Malaysian Beef Tenderloin & Broccoli (4/5): The tenderloin is exceptional and there is an assortment of veggies. Cashews on top are a nice crunchy textural addition. In any event, places like Zedric's are popping up all over the country, but this is certainly in the upper echelon of the healthy prepared meals I have tried. I love Zedric's!! I work in one of the buildings close by and love coming here when I don't have time to pack my lunch. It's a little expensive, but the meals are prepared daily and are extremely healthy. No pre-packaged food that sits in freezers for weeks. I was heading out of town and in order to forgo my desire to pick up fast food, I opted to use my yelp deal and pick up a meal from Zedric's. For $20, I got two meals- almond breaded chicken with kale and mashed cauliflower, turkey ragu with spaghetti squash and a paleo muffin. The food was so delicious! My only complaint is that it is a little on the high end for me ($8.50-$12 a meal), but it's worth it when you need a healthy meal on the go, especially when the ingredients are fresh and organic. This is an amazing concept! And delicious food! I have been trying to lose my baby weight for quite some time (the kid is almost 2). Zedrics makes chef prepared, individually portioned meals that conform to many healthy eating requirements- reasonable calories, low carb, gluten for, paleo, even vegan (sometimes). The food is delicious, fresh and tasty. And not loaded with salt or preservatives! This is so easy for busy professionals. And they are not trying to sell me supplements of questionable purity and efficacy unlike their competitors. It may be a tad pricier than making a PB&J but it is so much healthier and yummy. My hubs and I have cut down on the cost by using our own snacks and making our own breakfasts some times. Ask about any sale items they have. And also, 10% military discount. Some of the staff is not as helpful as others, but they were obviously new and learning the ropes. Everyone we've met has been nice and friendly. Best of all? I have lost 5 lbs on this tasty food. The menu is very organized and even has each item labeled by low carb, gluten-free, paleo friendly, vegetarian, or weekly special. They carry breakfast, lunch--with a salad bar from 11-2 Mon thru Fri--dinner, and snacks. There are many options for all different dietary restrictions, and each dish shows nutritional info and calorie count. What is also great is Zedric's utilizes local produce, beef and dairy whenever possible. Most beef items are grass fed. I tried a couple of dishes and certain ones stood out and others were a miss. The turkey ragu was delicious and a nice alternative to spaghetti clocking in at only 350 calories for dinner. The ahi tuna salad could use some wasabi, or something to give it a little zing. I'm sure as Zedric's receives more input they will continue to grow. If you are trying to stay on a calorie count, or have dietary restrictions but still want convenience then this is the way to go. read more

If anyone wants to corner the meal-prep market, start by tackling Zedric's - it won't be hard. I'm not sure what animal my "flat iron steak" came from, as the consistency was very much like soy. I don't have an issue with soy really, but when I order a steak, I assume that it would actual animal protein. This is the McDonalds of meal prep. It's high priced, but very poor quality. My husband and I cook at home, but like others, this was our haven to adhere to a "diet" when we don't have time to cook. Zedric's is overpriced, over-seasoned mystery food. My initial experience with Zedric's was blah... I used to make runs to Whole Foods for lunch but that took forever so I decided to hit up Zedric's. First time I went, I got the Chicken Parmesan... It was okay. Decided to go back for the Stir Fry... really salty. Went again for the Thai Chicken, wayyyyy to salty!! But after a few weeks of eating way too much Thai food (Rock San anyone?), I decided to pick up Zedric's one more time. And I was happy to find that they corrected the salt problem! The girl there gave me the stir fry to try for free just so I can see myself. So I am very happy now, and this is perfect for a healthy lifestyle. I am constantly on the road (I don't live in SA), so this is perfect for me! Here is what I've tried: Chicken Parmesan- I think the chicken is cooked in almond flour instead of fried. It's not bad for a healthy meal. It just leaves me the slightest bit unsatisfied. Eggplant/Beef Lasagna- DELICIOUS!!!! I love it, but I wish it was bigger. It's too small for a meal Chicken Fajita Bowl- A solid meal choice! Chicken Enchiladas- Not the biggest fan of green chile, not bad though. I enjoyed it Mac & Cheese- Uhh, don't bother. Not very good Chicken Stirfry- No longer salty, so it tastes great! I always have to add Siracha though. Love spicy food Turkey Chorizo with Quinoa- Good breakfast choice, but there's way too much quinoa, so it can get a little bland. Chorizo was very spicy and good Brisket with Egg- Yummy! Whoever owns this business, YOU ARE A GENIUS! Amazing food, pre-maid, and delivered to your door... what could be better than this? My husband and I just bought a weeks worth of food, and calculated that this is cheaper than buying a weeks worth of groceries. Not only is it cheaper, but less time consuming, and it's super healthy. Oh, and you don't have all the left over dishes in the sink from cooking! Our food was delivered today and it came packed perfectly with a freezer bag and ice. Staff is very friendly! I suggest just ordering online since the store is small and it's hard to search for food when someone is in front of you looking. It's way easier online! There is only one thing that bothers me... the containers aren't very "eco-friendly." I want to recycle them but not sure if our recycle company would take them (they are strict). If I could make a suggestion... maybe have customers bring back in containers, and they could be sanitized (obviously very well), and reused? First of all, food tastes great. No complaintsto the chef. At my doctors recommendation to try the Paleo diet to improve my chronic, aggressive inflammation, I looked for a meal service. I'd previously had great success going gluten free with another company like this one, but since they were across town, decided to give this one a shot. Placed my order for a 5 day plan. It's z bit more expensive to have meals prepped and individualized so I didn't mind paying a bit more for the convenience as I try and transition into a new lifestyle. ($135 for the Small 1200 cal/day plan). HOWEVER: I've noticed throughout the week (I'm on day 4 of 5) that almost every meal included non-paleo ingredients or items, so trying to find a sub and pass those off to my boyfriend has been a struggle when I wasn't anticipating preparing or prepping meals this week... I've had cheese, peanuts, chocolate and now rice noodles in my "Paleo" meal kit. I'm guessing the staff isn't trained on different diets and default to gluten free, which is basically what I've had since all of the ingredients named are inflammatory ones... Just gonna have to figure out another way or go elsewhere... I'm just dissapointed, really. That said and as I mentioned, food does taste great, microwave well without getting dry and is reasonably filling portion sizes, so I do recommend trying it for portion control or no dietary restrictions.
