So my chiropractor recommended this place as I was knotted completely up and needed some relaxation. I called and they immediately took me in for an hour massage and let's talk about the price, $70 for an hour and they do a full body massage. You also get the use of hot massage balls towards the end. Trust me you won't want to miss this. They offer 30 minutes as well and feet massages. Feet aren't my thing but hey... to each their own. Since my first visit I've been back 2 more times. After 10 visits you get a free hour massage so make sure you use the business card they offer. Oh and they take cards or cash. If you use a card there is a small fee of a few bucks depending on your total. But yessss check this place out! Let me know what your thoughts are. Wow-this was a surprise. I have passed by this place so many times and just didn't notice it. One day recently I was running errands and happened to have a terrible headache...and I stumbled into Zen. I was immediately accommodated for a 30 minute chair massage (which was actually on a table). The interior was clean with dim lighting. I was led to one of the tables towards the back of the spa-passing tables with lots of people getting foot massages. The person that worked on me was really strong and beat the crap out of me in the best way possible. I only took off my shoes and the massage was through blankets-which was great. I'm planning on going back to try one of their combination spa treatments-foot massage and regular massage sounds exactly like what the doctor ordered. On my way out, I asked how long they had been there...8 years! Clearly I'm oblivious. They have a "frequent flyer card" and after 10(?) stamps, I think you'll qualify for a free service. Had an enjoyable foot massage with my MIL a few weeks ago. I will definitely go back. My only concern was that I had scheduled two one hour foot massages and when we got there, there was no record of our appointment. They slid us in for 1/2 hour massages as opposed to the hour. Other folks came in while we were waiting who also had appointments and they were turned away. So I suppose you have to be flexible and know that they are not the most organized places. read more

I have serious Sciatica and I was in a lot of pain. I love footwork .. not really a massage person. I was desperate so I decided to just walk in.. I was greeted immediately and decided on the 30 min footwork and 30 minute bodywork package. I was placed with Kevin.. he was so kind,listened to my pain points..it was soooooo relaxing .. the bodywork was kinda grueling at some stages but that was due to how tight my body was. 2 days later I still feel sooooo much better than when I walked in. I've been here several times now and have always walked away feeling much better than when I walked in! I usually go for the 30 minute Foot Spa for the extremely reasonable price of $25. Most of the massages take place in a large communal room, but it's quiet and I've never had to disrobe, so it's no big deal for me. I went once with my wife and she got body work (a little more, but still reasonable at $40 for a half hour), so she went in a back room for more privacy. They have both male and female masseuses, so if you have a preference you can ask. I'm fine either way so I just go with whoever takes me. The woman at the counter will bring you in and set you up, and she cashes you out at the end. I love the atmosphere- everyone who works there is very friendly, the room is lit just enough so they can do their job effectively, and there is some nice quiet Chinese music playing in the background. It is easily the most relaxing place I've been in a long time. I've noticed the last few times that when it is is time to leave, all of the employees (at least all I was aware of) stand there to wish you goodbye. It's actually a nice touch. I really love this place and I hope they do well and stay around for a long time. Usually when I am up there it's at the end of the day, so I always have some stress that needs to be melted away, and they do a great job of that. Oh yeah, they have a punch card so after 10 visits you get a 1 hour foot spa for free. I can't wait for that! read more

Needed a massage after working here for over two months. I walked in here on a Sunday afternoon with no reservation. Had to wait about 15 minutes for a masseuse to become free and had a little hard time communicating with the front girl as she spoke a little English. Once in the room, I found out it was pretty open. With no doors and just bead curtains. I undressed down to my boxers and massage started. The Chinese girl that gave the massage was strong and she roughed me up pretty well which I enjoy. I was a little sore for couple days but after that I feel pretty rejuvenated now. I got a 90 minute massage for $80 which was well worth the price. Masseuse was friendly and strong. She didn't say much but did make sure that the massage was ok and the pressure was good. I highly recommend if you need a strong massage to work the kinks out for a reasonable price. Need to be patient as most of the workers are Chinese and may not speak English very well. read more

Amazing service!! I did the 30 minute foot and 30 minute body combo. My back and feet were killing my after moving apartments the day before and Michael was attentive and thorough. We started with the foot massage first and it was the Best foot massage I've ever had! After 30 minutes we moved to the back massage. Very professional, Michael asked if pressure was ok. I had a few tender spots that I let him know about and he adjusted pressure. 30 minutes was not long enough but I was so relaxed after the massage. Will definitely be back! Great service and pricing. Jenny, the greeter/owner, was SO kind and helped me choose a plan for my first time at the spa. All around great experience. My only complaint is that I was in the community room and heard other staff talking and cell phone text message chimes going off during my massage and that was very distracting to me. I would've preferred a private/quiet space. The music in the community room was ok but repetitive. The same two songs kept playing on a 10 minute loop- as a musician- I noticed this and it irritated me - but not a reason to not go to the spa! Maybe a longer loop of music?! read more

I've had experience at the foot spa on Central Avenue in Albany and this was very similar, possibly owned and run by the same people. Ambience is calm with Asian influences, customer service is amazing, and the massage was great! I always ask for deep pressure and always receive it At these spas, which I can't say for the typical Kimberly's or froufrou massage places where the therapist can't put the pressure to make it really deep. Highly recommend this spa! You won't get a better experience for less money, which makes it easy to tip the staff for at least 20 to 25% in appreciation! read more

Place was a lot better than expected. Quiet, peaceful, and the employees are pleasant. Coming from a highly stressful job that have me tighten up basically every inch of my shoulders, I really needed some serious relaxation. Coming from a city where massage therapists are a dime a dozen at a high price tag, I do not frequent as much as I should but I've always wanted to go more than I can afford. Zen Foot Spa is affordable and have all the necessary precautions a business need for the pandemic. The front desk makes sure you sanitize your hands before you go further into their business, the workers are wearing masks, and the place is basically spotless. The one thing I would say that can improve the establishment is that maybe the workers could put more elbow grease into their craft. I have really bad shoulders and the significant other have terrible legs so we both needed the staff to increase their strengths when dealing with us. It's an occupational hazard for me and just poor choices for him. We are both so used to the near torture services we get in NYC so this visit to Zen Foot Spa was very weak compared to what we have to endure to get relief. My sister in law and I booked a couples massage here hoping to be able to chat during the massage over our Christmas break, but it's not that kind of place. However, it was a great massage for a reasonable price. Including hot stone, we had a 60 min body and 30 min foot massage for $75. We really needed this during our small window of escape from the kids and appreciated it. This is not the place for you if you go to fancy places like the springs/spa. We're both from big cities where getting Asian massages in somewhat communal spaces separated by curtains is pretty normal, so we were not weirded out by that, but I can see if you are used to just getting swedish massages that this would be hard for you to get used to. Also the entire front room does not have curtains, i think that is if you are only getting a foot massage, so that's important to know. For me this was a 10/10 based on massage quality for value. Having lived in Los Angeles, I became accustomed to being able to get a traditional Asian massage any time, on any corner, whenever I wanted, but since moving back east and into more suburban areas it's been a little harder to find. Zen Foot Spa is amazing, affordable, and easy to get an appointment. The special is under $50 and includes head/neck, back/arms, and foot/leg massage. Deep tissue and restorative. Clean, public massage space (picture lots of massage tables in a dark common room). You remain clothed for the massage, but I encourage wearing minimal clothing- tank and shorts or leggings. They also offer more private massage rooms, but I prefer the traditional common space. This type of massage is different than typical Western massage, but I prefer it. And at $50 for an hour it's budget friendly enough to enjoy more than one a month! Check this place out, you'll be glad you did! read more

I initially went for help with sciatica. The atmosphere is very relaxing and clean. The therapists are knowledgeable and they really care about you as a person. The quality and technique of the treatment is the best in the capital region. The prices are quite reasonable, in fact the lowest in the area. I'm a regular now. I feel more energy and clearer thinking. I work in heavy construction which is tough on the body and I always get the needed help to keep going. You will love everything about this place: the friendly therapists; relaxing and comfortable surroundings and sounds; the cleanliness; even the location is convenient.
