This is one of the most convenient nail salons to where I live, and it's the one I find myself going to when I look down at my nails at home and think "yikes". I almost exclusively get regular pedicures, so this review is based on that. The folks are friendly, and their chairs are comfortable. The pricing is in line with what other local spas charge, and their "basic" pedicure at $33 still includes a few perks. The biggest pro for me is the quality of their polishes. They don't have to grab one from a wall but rather choose from samples, and then they bring out a box with that polish in it. The polishes I get here consistently stay on for weeks with little to no chipping, which indicates to me that they're both solid at technique and also at ensuring the polishes they're using are of good quality and not too old or dried out. I've also never had an issue with nail damage here. On my latest visit, I overheard them working to make sure a client who didn't like their polish color got a satisfactory resolution even though it added a fair bit of workload to the nail technician. Nail manicure . They there are unlicensed manicurist at this particular location. If you're not familiar with the manicurist in her ability, you could have your nails butchered like I did. I am sure there are some good manicurist there. The manicure I got was unbelievably horrible. Please don't just go in and ask for anybody to do your nails have a referral from someone who has been there. They do not return your money or try to fix the issue when you complain read more

Really enjoyed this nail salon. I usually go to Nail Time across the street from here, but they were booked. I went to Zen Lotus and I think I like their manicures better! I got a full set with dip gel nails. The nail tech was friendly and did a thorough job. I like the vibe of the place with good music, movies and a white marble kind of decor. First time going here & I'm not impressed, took my daughter to get gel polish on her fingers & toes, asked the front desk how much it was & I was told $35, she didn't ask how old my child was or anything so the nail tech goes ahead with my child without my presence & asks my child how old she is, paints her nails roughly with her sharp fake nails she had on & then proceeds to tell me that it's $50 so when I asked why is it more than what I was told I was argued with till I had no choice but to pay the $15 upcharge.. I wish I could leave separate reviews for the different services. I have been going here for a few years now and it may be time for me to move on, at least for some services. Basic mani/pedi and the special occasion acrylics and nail art are on point. I don't really have one particular tech that I request. It's the "other" services that are lacking such as facials, lash extensions, etc. Everyone loves the idea of "one stop shopping." We all have a busy schedule so it would be nice to get everything done at one place. I started to try the facials here a few years ago. . I've gone several times and now feel I have experienced a variety of services about 1/2 dozen times so I feel comfortable writing a review. The facials and other services take place in a room in the back. While it's not "fancy" or spa-like, I never expected that. My issue is that it is never quite truly relaxing, as a facial should be. For example, every time I go something happens like: 1. Aesthetician leaves the room for along amount of time and/or you can hear people talking right outside the door. 2. Someone knocks loudly on the door to hurry the service along. 3 I can actually hear the aesthetician cleaning up, putting away things, spraying cleansers and wiping everything down, etc WHILE I'm still in the table (I'm in the wellness profession, and this should not be done during a client's service time). I noticed a lot of the time, the aesthetician will apply a solution or mask and then just sit back or clean for the next 15 minutes or so or even leave the room: It's also very inconsistent, for example, they don't use the steamer every time. Also, the small things to make it more enjoyable are just not done: no upper or lower extremity massage, no scalp or neck/shoulder massage, etc. I always come out feeling like the person did the absolute minimum, and the prices aren't really less expensive than a luxury or real day spa, which makes you feel even worse about the experience. You might overlook a lot of this if the prices were significantly but they really aren't. I realize their main service is the nails, so I try not to be too "harsh" but if you are going to list the other services, the quality should be in line with the rest of your offerings. So in summary: this is a decent place to get your nails done (prices for those services seem competitive with local rates) but you will probably want to skip the "other" services offered on the menu. It's like t they're attempting to offer a "day spa" menu, but IMHO, those services are not as successful. They should probably stick to what they do best. read more

Well I'd like to say that this place is wonderful. I started my day wanting a mani pedi since I took the day off to enjoy a 4 day weekend. I went to 2 other places and was told they were too busy at the moment and I needed to make an appt or come back around 2pm I was like no thank you, mind you the places were empty so I don't know if the people were invisible. I looked on yelp again and said well let me try something further away from home. I walked in and they were really busy but sat me down on the pedicure chair and started working on me. Went in for a powder manicure and a regular pedicure and eyebrow wax. One person did my pedicure and three people did my manicure. I asked for matching colors on my feet and nails and that was not done. My toes were pink and my hands were a lavender color when I left the salon. Also I wanted my eyebrows waxed. They took me into the back room and I noticed that there was a towel on the bench. The attendant came into the room and told me to lay down. I Said to her that the towel was dirty. She proceeded to turn the towel over to the other side. I said no I want a clean towel. She looked at me as if I was saying something crazy and then asked me, you want a clean towel? I will never return to this place. Their general hygiene is not good and I want only one person working on me, not five. read more

Already on Baymeadows and not knowing if I'd have enough time to go to my San Jose nail salon, I stopped over here as I saw that they do SNS/dip powder. The place inside seems a bit disorganized with nail products here and there but the service was great. An older gentleman wrapped my nails to soak off the polish. Another lady removed the remaining polish and we discovered that I had an injury to my thumb that caused moisture to seep in under my nail. Yup, a "greenie". Immediate panic on my part. The nail techs assured me I'd be ok. They trimmed my nail and cleaned it up as best they could. They recommended that I keep it dry, let it breathe, and put antibiotics on it because it's gotta grow out. They also let me know that if it looks like it's spreading to go see a doctor. Good advice. I ended up getting 9 fingers done for a good price. I think I'll come back a few more times because I really like the colors that they have. read more

I got my first set of acrylics recently at a different salon. Wanting to go somewhere closer for my fill ins, I found Zen Lotus. Henry did two fill ins for me and did a fantastic job. They felt light and comfortable, unlike my first time at the different salon. Before I went to have my set removed, I searched on Google how it was done and if I can a manicure immediately after removal. According to Google. The safe way to remove nails is to drill down as much as you can, then let them soak in acetone. Seemed like something I couldn't do at home, so I made an appointment. Someone else (not Henry) removed my acrylics. My nails are beyond damaged. She drilled some off, then used a tip to pry the acrylic off. My nails are dented and red. It actually hurts to wash my hands under cold water too long. I was asked if I was "doing okay." I am a very shy person, so I went along with it even though I knew this wasn't right. When I left and got in my car, I realized I had been sweating from the pain of prying off my nails. I really liked this salon until this experience. read more

Myself, my husband, and my elderly mom went. We are able to make same day appointments with virtually no wait time. They had a large enough staff to have us all done in an hour, something that has never happened at a same day appointment at a nail salon for us. We got varying levels of pedicures. I got the basic spa package, my husband got the deluxe, and my mom got the most expensive. They gave my husband a leg massage that was perfect for him. He usually complains that he's handled to softly. At the same time, they were very gentle with my mom. They noticed she had swollen feet, and they came back to extra massage her feet, gently, after her pedicure was done. She was in heaven. My husband KTFO during his, which meant he was in pedicure heaven. The bit of drool leaking past his mask confirmed it. Anyway, they brought the color palette to us, which was great because we didn't feel the pressure to pick colors quickly or be too near other folks looking, as well. New to the area, and needed a pedicure. It was just awful. Rushed, crooked toenails, not even filed properly - so they'll snag on everything. Not to mention the poor polish job. Everything is uneven, and really, I could've done it with one eye closed, and without doubt, it would look tremendously better. I will never return, let alone recommend. Where do I start ! This is the best nail salon I've been to thus far since I moved to Jacksonville 3 years ago. Cindy did my pedicure and she did an amazing job. I have gone to this place many times and have never had the experience that I had today. I had came in with acrylic nails and had requested the service of a new set. To take off my nails, the nail tech used a spare acrylic and slid it between the acrylic on my nail and my natural nail. They were then pried off this way. It was the most excruciating experience in my life. When she was done, you could see fragments of my natural nail on the back of the acrylic that had been ripped off. My finger nails were burning, and were ripped. After further research online, I had discovered that this is 100% not an alternative safe way to remove acrylics. It is a method used to cut corners and save their own time. Ridiculous. I will not be going back here ever again as they clearly do not care for my nails. read more

Beware! I bought and paid for a facial for my wife for her birthday yesterday, and set the appointment on their computer for 11:30 today. When my wife showed up for her facial, she was told that she didn't have an appointment and that there was no payment. My wife then showed them that her name was on the list, and furnished the receipt for the payment. They argued some more, took the receipt, wouldn't give it back, and said there are no refunds. By this time, my wife had enough, and said that she didn't want them to touch her. They reluctantly agreed, and told her that I needed to go over there with my credit card to get the refund. I went there today, and got my refund. Not a word was spoken. Save your money for a more reputable business that cares for their customers. This was my first time going to this nail salon. From the time that I walked in to the time that I left, I felt very welcomed and staff was super friendly. The entire salon is so nice and clean, and had all the precautions set in place for Covid-19. They have an array of services to choose from, so it's perfect for a bridal party or just a regular girls day. I got the deluxe pedicure, and it was SO RELAXING! Super disappointed today. Had an 11am pedicure appointment, was seated right away in a chair with my feet soaking. After watching everyone else get pedicures for an hour, my feet turned into raisins, I finally got up and left. Of course the man in charge asked me not to leave and offered me to come back in an hour for 50% off, but I just don't want to spend my Sunday afternoon in a nail salon. First time at this place and was super impressed. I'm not a picky person but I do like thin and durable nails. I came in with acrylic on my nails (not happy from who did it before at a different salon) and left with SNS. The pedicure was amazing and the attention to detail for both mani and pedi was great. Only issue I had is that he didn't clean under my nails during the mani. BUT if that was the only issue I had, I'm good. The place was gorgeous and clean. Definitely will be going back!! read more

2 stars because my pedicure was perfect, but my full set is TRASH for the third time in a row. Prices have gone up for every service and the quality remains the same. I left the salon with acrylic all over my hands and my cuticles neglected. The nail is already chipped on the sides due to the aggressive filing. They did such a great job! They accepted me as a walk in for a full set, I showed a picture of the nails I wanted and the tech did it perfectly! I had another nail salon that did my previous nails and had to take them off bc they were extremely thick and sloppy. The one reason I gave them a four and not a five is because it was FREEZING in the salon. I asked around four times for them to turn up the heat because even the tech was cold but nothing was done. Normally I do not complain but I am upset with how these nails turned out. After glancing at the reference photo he asked explicitly if I wanted almond shape and I said yes. Instead, I got sharp, pointy claws. While filing it was pretty painful and my skin started to bleed under a few nails... Also, the ombré is not as smooth as I'd like it to be. I've never seen it done the way he did it but you can see the line of where the white powder starts under the pink on each nail. My biggest issue is really the shape of my nails. I believe this place has potential with the right tech though. read more
