I had an amateur guy who did my pedicure. It took him an hour to take my old gel polish off of my toes. He made my big toe bleed from the battery operated file when he got too close to the skin. I tried telling him to put spacers between my toes because I have one toe that overlaps and he cut up some tissue to put in between them. I told him that it's not working and the nail polish kept getting smeared. I was very frustrated. On top of this situation, I had an appointment for a gel manicure at the same time. I waited and waited. Finally, the guy from the front started taking off my old polish and then left. About a half hour later, a young lady came to finish up. She did a nice job. She told me that the guy who was still doing my pedicure just started. I was very angry at that point because I was already sitting there for almost two hours. They should train their employees and have them work on themselves before having them work on their customers. The cost for the two services was a WHOPPING $147. I will NEVER go back there again. read more

The place is beautiful inside and the staff is so nice. I also enjoy the complimentary champagne with your service. The first time I came in I was very happy with how my set came out (see photos of green cat eye with pink chrome flowers). However, the second time I came in I was very disappointed (see 4th of July designs). It came out looking unfinished, and sloppy. The edges of each and every nail were left unpainted and somewhat clumpy in areas. The the ends/tips of the nails were also left unpainted, which I'm not used to. I paid $110 for both of these sets, but the work of each artist is not equal, so should not be priced equally.. The 4th of July nails are cute from afar but embarrassing if you look too closely. These pictures were taken immediately after leaving the salon. If I'm paying $110 for a builder gel fill, I expect much better quality. read more

My best friend and I were in need of a pedicure but due to a busy schedule couldn't go until about 6:30, Zen was happy to take us at 6:35pm without any issue. It was a little warm in the salon but overall very nice and serene (lots of greenery and modern enhancements like the chairs). The massage chair wouldn't turn on at first for me but they fixed it right away. They offered us alcoholic beverages as we checked in which was a plus (plus a refill- yay!). Cindy took great care of my feet, I had a blister that had recently opened and was sore and she was sure to avoid things that would irritate it during the pedicure. Overall, I'd go back! I love this place. Today was my first time going there and it was amazing! Amy did an amazing job on my nail set and Jenny did an amazing job on my pedicure. I have gone to one nail spot for a couple years now and when I was there they would always really dig into my nails. But at Zen Nail Bar I felt super comfortable and welcomed. I never felt pain once while I was there and all of the equipment they used was completely sterile and brand new. I also really like that the prices are all listed in a little pamphlet, most nail places I've gone to just give me a price after I'm done. I've never felt more relaxed at a nail spa. And the inside of the establishment is beautiful! They also gave me a free gift when I left, it was a super cute hand bad with their logo on it and some cuticle oil. I chose the Zen Nature pedicure and the 15-minute massage was incredible -- hot stones, warm towels, and true relaxation. I genuinely left feeling calmer and refreshed. You can tell they focus on quality and not rushing clients through. They were also wonderful with my daughter. She's a very calm, easygoing kid and did great during her service, and the staff treated her with so much kindness and patience. They made her feel special and respected, not just like "another kid appointment," which meant a lot to me. The salon is clean, welcoming, and professional. I recently visited Zen Nail Bar for a Gel mani and pedi. I had really high hopes since the reviews were almost all five stars. The pedicure portion of my visit was great! The technician was attentive and the service felt relaxing! Overall, the staff and management were friendly and welcoming. For my manicure, the technician recommended builder gel since my nails are weak, which I appreciated! She was kind and made an effort to create conversation, which I enjoyed. However, the manicure itself felt a bit rushed and my cuticles could have been cleaned up more thoroughly. I also noticed a few sanitation practices that made me uncomfortable. The towel on the hand rest and under the LED lamp did not appear to be changed between clients, and when the technician switched nail bits it looked like they were simply dusted off rather than disinfected or replaced with a clean one. Additionally, there were a few professionalism details that made the experience less enjoyable. During the service the technician repeatedly wiped her nose on her sleeve and had removed her shoes under the table. This felt unprofessional during my manicure. Another small disappointment was the hand massage, which lasted less than a minute. I also wasn't offered any other manicure package upgrades that I had seen listed online. Because I booked through Groupon, I wondered if that may have affected the level of service. I truly wanted to love this place because the pedicure was great and the staff were very friendly. However, the manicure experience felt inconsistent. I hope the salon can improve some of these details because it does seem like a place with potential. As soon as I sat down, I was encouraged to choose $63 pedicure instead of being asked what service I wanted. I preferred the basic pedicure with gel polish, and after I declined the upgrade, I felt technician's attitude became less friendly. The foot soak water was cold and not filled enough to comfortably soak my feet. The service also felt rushed and not as gentle or relaxing as my previous visit. At the end of the appointment, I was given handwritten breakdown showing total including an additional charge. I would have appreciated knowing about any extra charges before the service rather than finding out at the end. I don't mind paying for quality service. My disappointment was the overall experience and the lack of communication. I hope every customer receives the same level of care regardless of which service they choose. read more
