it's my own fault this place is terrible but i was in need and entered at my own risk i asked for a simple polish change and shape change (square to stiletto) they said i need a fill i said no problem i sat down and with in 4.7 seconds all my old polish was removed drilling was to fast. next she went to reshape i was nervous but wanted to trust the process and be polite.. then came the nail file .. this lady started on my pinky i looked at it and realized she had slaughtered my nail . when i say my bird, my cockatiel has more nail then i do . the worst part these are my real nails that i have been months growing out . all i could was say this isn't going to work and walked out. i respect the older techs still out here hustling but someone's gotta teach them the new ways they gotta be willing to learn and grow with the changes fix this isn't it .. the other 9 fingers aren't any better read more

Nails were a mess- had polish on all places of my feet. Paid for a callus remover and they didn't remove all of it because "you can only remove so much at once," but when I've gone to other salons they've been able to do it right away. After I asked about getting my callus' scrubbed a little more the woman doing my nails proceeded to hold the shaver on one spot of my foot until it burnt and proceeded to say, "I told you." No, you purposefully did it in an incorrect way to hurt me and prove your point. They were condescending and not listening to my concerns. read more

Walked in without an appointment at about 1730, was told we couldn't be seen and then was told to wait to "see" if we could be seen. It's a fill for my daughter and a mani/ pedi for me. About 1800, my daughter was seated and I was seated maybe at 1820 to get started on my pedicure. I didn't mention my manicure ( I felt awkward that they forgot). So I was okay with coming back... a bit bummed I am not going to lie! Overall, really nice lady working the front, although lots of LADIES kept giving her an attitude when they checked in, but homegirl stood her ground! They do have a confusing check in process for first timers, if my daughter hadn't gone with me I would have been lost too but not enough to be rude! Horrible first experience, especially disappointing since it was on my birthday. I understood that as a walk in I might have to wait, but 45 minutes with no acknowledgment or simple apology for the delay was frustrating. I was seated with a technician named Mark. I had to greet him first, and after showing photos of what I wanted, he barely spoke to me during the service besides asking if I had work. The whole interaction felt very awkward and uncomfortable. I also noticed concerning hygiene practices. The chrome powder sponge and nail drill bits appeared to be reused, which honestly felt gross and unsanitary. At first glance the nails looked somewhat similar to what I asked for, but it was hard to tell in the salon lighting and I had to leave for work as I did not expect to have to wait that long. After he finished the first time, he walked away before I even had the chance to hand him a tip, so I ended up giving it to the front desk lady instead. Once I got to my car in natural light, I could clearly see my natural nails underneath. They were extremely see through and not what I requested. I returned after my shift to ask if they could be fixed. The front desk lady with short hair immediately came off standoffish and tried to convince me that this was what I asked for, even after I showed reference photos and how the nails looked in daylight. While discussing it, I could understand her and Mark speaking negatively about me in Vietnamese, which was very uncomfortable, but I stayed calm because I simply wanted my nails corrected. Mark did redo them after I explained again that I wanted full coverage, not a natural trending look. However, he sighed throughout the process and seemed annoyed. When finished, the only response I received was "better?" There was no apology or acknowledgment of the situation. I have never had to return to have a service redone before. I remained polite the entire time. This was also my first time getting my nails done at a salon in 5 years so I was very excited. A successful little girly trip with my BFF! I think I found my new favorite OC nail salon! I got a text from my bestie who was in desperate need of a mani pedi/ she reached out at the perfect time since I needed one as well. I was super excited when she mentioned a nicely priced place she found, so we decided to spend some much needed time together and fix these claws! Arrived at 2:45 on a Sunday and were seated rather quickly (I did make an appt). My tech, Helen was incredibly sweet and kind when she did my set. They came out beautiful and she shaped them perfectly. Price was great for both of us! I have been to other nail salons and it can get pricey, so paying $105 for Gel x extensions + gel pedicure was a complete steal! I live in LA, but head to OC on the weekends to hang with friends and honestly, getting my nails done out there is so worth it! Happy with my nail set! I've been coming to this salon for YEARS ever since I moved to the area. I come here specifically because I have a disabled sister that comes with me and they treat her well. However this last time around my nail tech was an older guy. Every time I've gone in he's always on his phone never doing service on anyone. So I was very surprised to have him do my nails. He didn't greet me, didn't ask what I wanted he just gestured to give him my hands. After I showed him what I wanted he said they can't do that and to pick another design, mind you I've gotten this design before there. He was getting annoyed with my design options so I told him to just do a French tip. SILENCE the entire time and at one point my hand flinched when he was painting my nails and he smacked his lips at me and gave me a cold stare. I looked at him more baffled by his reaction since it was an accident nothing intentional. I left a small tip after leaving because I've always gotten great service from everyone else but him. Now almost 2 weeks later I've had 2 nails chip from the sides and I've never had this happen in the past. I normally get acrylics, but Kylee convinced me to try Gel-X since I like changing my nail shape often (she really is a sweetheart). That part wasn't the issue. All I wanted this time was a simple cat-eye design on the tips, which I did get--but when it was time to pay, the total came out to $85. I've had designs before that were worth $85, but this definitely wasn't one of them. The breakdown was: * $50 for Gel-X * $5 for removing the previous set * And $30 for "extras" When I asked what the extra charge was for, I was told it was because of the cat-eye design. I recently moved to the area and found XO Nails & Spa after not having a consistent nail spot for some time. I came in on a random Monday afternoon in November and asked for builder gel because my natural nails were pretty beat and wanted to grow them out but keep them pretty healthy at the same time. Hannah was super nice and took her time to make sure my nails came out the shape I wanted. Over the course of the next few months I've consistently returned to get my nails done by the ladies and gentlemen at XO Nails & Spa. They've always treated me kindly, respectfully, and they make sure to check in on me along the way. Their whole team is awesome. I'm giving a major shout out to their manager for her kindness in action. Today was the first time I witnessed a patron get a little out of sorts next to me and she calmly apologized and reminded the client that the pricing for a color change was a specific dollar amount. The staff and the manager have the tact and reservation system in place in such an organized manner that they can look up each client via cell phone number to see each appointment which, in my opinion, is pretty ingenious, for situations such as this. I wanted so chime in for the staff but I didn't because they had it under control. Instead, when it was my turn to pay for service, I made sure to apologize to management and let them know that they did a great job.
