I got a gel pedicure and gel builder fill. I came in as a walk in over the weekend and the wait wasn't too long. The pedicure service was good, no complaints I don't remember who did it. As for my gel builder, I do not recommend having it done by Ken. He asked if I wanted my nails shorter and the same shape (almond), I said yes. He used the drill to file my right pinky nail and confirmed the length, I agreed. He continued to file the rest of my nails, but didn't compare my hands. I thought it was odd because normally they do compare the nail lengths. After I asked him, he said he still needed to file them. Which okay fair enough. I noticed he filed the sides of my nails way too close to my skin. Which it felt raw/more sensitive. I pointed out that the builder gel wasn't completely covering my natural nails. So he did another layer, didn't properly file them either. The shape wasn't close to what I'm familiar with. At that point Ken was rushing to finish the job. He started the nail polish and I noticed he was missing the inner sides of my nails. I asked him to apply polish and after 2 dried layers of gel polish, he used the thin brush to fill in the gaps with 1 layer. When he was done he asked me to wash my hands, and I went to the front to pay. I noticed my real nail peaking out from the builder gel and most of my nails still weren't filed. I asked the front desk for someone else to help me reshape and file my nails. They sent me Ken. When I pointed out things that were wrong, he told me my nails were too short for almond shape and that's why they look like that. I said "if my nails were too short why didn't you say anything? I would've changed the shape" he walked away, not finishing the filing. read more

So today I tried the massage promotion with Martha here at the Zen nail lounge and omg what a great add on! She was amazing I was in a lot of upper back pain and after I was done it was gone. So convenient, agree, add-on to my nails and pedicure. I also love how knowledgeable and trained she is. I've gotten many massages and I have to say this was top-tier. I feel like I understand my body a little more and what it needs to feel more relaxed and nourished definitely booking again a must try!! read more

BEWARE Unsanitary Practices!! I got my nails done Friday, and by Monday, two nails had completely popped off, another two were chipping from the sides, and the rest were lifting at the corners. I went back requesting a refund because there was no point in repairing nearly every nail and after what I observed, I did not feel comfortable having them touch my nails again. I witnessed tools being reused between customers, including drill bits and nail clippers and nail files which raised serious sanitation concerns for me all which have been documented and sent to the health department. I also noticed someone else's nail clippings on the towel where I was asked to place my hand. When I requested a refund, they refused. They demanded me to send the the pictures I took of the used tools however after talking with one of my friends from the health department they stated that is not allowed and if they want the photos that inspectors could show them during the visit!! I then asked to see my technician's license, which I understand is required to be displayed under California law. They refused to provide or show it, which left me questioning whether the technician was properly licensed. Between the poor quality, lifting and nails popping off within days, and the sanitation concerns I witnessed, I would not recommend this salon. read more

Came for a gel pedicure, would usually go with Lindsey and she was amazing. But when I called I found out she wasn't here anymore. Still decided to come in for a pedicure and honestly it was a let down. The edges by the cuticle were kind of sloppy and not colored all the way and I definitely had to go home and reshape them myself. As much as I tried to have her fix it, I gave up and just paid and left. Polish is not even and nails aren't shaped correctly. So sad paid $47. To top it off the polished on 70% of my toes peeled off after a shower from the edges and came off in one whole piece. Very disappointed and unhappy. Waste of money. I have not returned. My last experience was horrific, painful! I received a pedicure and specifically told the lady not to dig deep in the toe nail due to sensitivity and prone to infection. She dug so deep that I repeatedly had to tell her to stop. To prove her point she place dead skin on my feet instead of the towel. Then I get her for the manicure. I should have just requested for someone else. When I asked for a soak off she said yes yes but then proceeded to use the drill causing my nail to be thin and soft. When I told the front cashier he disregarded my complaint. I thought to try again and a couple of weeks later and when I called to request nail techs I felt safe with he told me they were all on a " months" vacation and that one had quit. Red flag. Okay so here's my review the place is nice and clean I go in the mornings or try at least since it's less crowded and this is my second time coming in April is amazing I loved her from my first time going and I wanted her for my second set but she was busy so I was placed with someone else. Now he did amazing but the nail removal was painful that shouldn't be happening. He did unfortunately nicked me with his own finger nail when trying the remove the previous gel x set that caused minimal bleeding at the seat he was trying to pry off the set instead of just a simple soak off OUCH!!!! I did however continued with service cause I really wanted my new set which were nice. I genuinely don't understand how Ken is doing nails professionally with the techniques he used on me. He tried to REMOVE my Gel-X by prying them off with another nail tip. He literally broke my nail doing this, and I had to be the one to ask him to drill them off instead. Then he "soaked" my nails in acetone and WENT OUTSIDE TO SMOKE while I sat there with my skin starting to burn. No cuticle work whatsoever. I even had to point out that the tip on my left index finger was visibly crooked. On top of that, every coat on my nails came out uneven. The entire appointment took around 40 minutes. FORTY. I went in expecting to spend around 2 hours because good work takes time. Instead, everything felt extremely rushed, and the final result absolutely reflects that. I have a very high pain tolerance and I'm normally a great tipper, but this is the first time I've ever left a nail appointment actually in pain and decided not to tip. So seeing "Cash tips, Venmo, Zelle are appreciated" on the nail lamp was almost laughable. A tip is appreciated when good service is provided. I'm not difficult to please, but if I have to tell the nail tech how to safely remove my nails, point out a crooked tip, sit there while my skin burns, AND leave with uneven nails... we have a problem. Extremely disappointing experience and definitely not worth what I paid. read more

Came several times to my nails. I always have to wait. The customer service is horrible. So disappointed rude.

The lady who greeted me at the door was pleasant. She went over the cost to remove my gel polish, which she said would be soaked first then gel removed. She put me with one of the name techs who really didn't listen to me. She immediately brought out her drill and had it on full blast. It hurt me terribly and I let her know. I also said aren't you going to soak them? Again, not sure what was going on. I just stopped my service, paid and left. I wanted to get a fresh gel polish but just wasn't confident in the her. Won't be going back. All my natural nails were damaged after this appointment and my natural pinky nail is red and tissue paper thin. I've been coming here for a few months, in the beginning the service really was all over the place and the customer service was iffy, I didn't feel welcomed and felt out of place, I first was put with the same tech my first couple of visits I had and my sets felt rushed, I ended up having to go back one time after walking out the door bc I hated my nails so much, I felt bad bc I'm so picky but it genuinely just felt like I was an inconvenience, since then the last two most recent visits I've had have been really good the first I was put in a private room with who i believe her name is ANA as well as another tech one for my nails one for my toes both were super sweet and attentive! My second yesterday was with CHLOE who i believe is a new tech did AMAZING she was so kind and paid good attention to detail, I always go in for a pedicure and gel-x but ended up canceling my pedicure, i typically get both done at the same time but yesterday other people who came way after me as walk-ins too were put before me and by that time my nails were already almost done and it had already been almost 2 hours. Overall the service has gotten acceptionally better, new staff, new services, and they're sooo sweet always with my kiddo! I am extremely disappointed to be writing this review because my family genuinely loved this salon. My mom, sister, sister-in-law, and I have been loyal customers since it opened last year, and we truly believed we had found our permanent nail salon. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I am unsure if we will be returning. The manager, Amy (wife of the owner), displayed a complete lack of professionalism and customer service from the moment we walked in. We were not greeted or acknowledged upon arrival, making us feel unwelcome from the start. While my 3-year-old son was choosing a piece of candy with my mother standing right beside him, he was unnecessarily reprimanded. Amy then told my mom that he couldn't sit next to her and had to sit alone in the waiting area by the front door--a door that leads directly to the parking lot. Expecting a 3-year-old to sit there unattended is unreasonable. As any parent knows, asking a 3-year-old to sit unattended near an exit is not only unrealistic but also unsafe. The complete lack of understanding, compassion, and common sense was shocking. The most disturbing part of the visit happened afterward. I asked Chloe, my nail technician, if she would be able to help my mother once she finished my appointment. So that I could watch my son. Chloe kindly agreed. However, Amy stepped in and refused, claiming Chloe was already booked. We remained in the salon for quite some time while waiting for my daughter to finish her pedicure, and during that entire time no client ever arrived for Chloe. My mother only speaks Spanish, and based on everything that occurred, Amy's actions felt targeted, discriminatory, and retaliatory. What makes this especially disappointing is that this behavior is the exact opposite of what we have experienced from the rest of the staff. David, Chi, Chloe, and the other technicians have always treated us with kindness, respect, and professionalism. Because of them, we continued returning and recommending this salon to family and friends. As a manager--and especially as someone representing the ownership--you set the standard for how customers are treated. Amy failed to meet even the most basic expectations of professionalism, courtesy, and respect. I sincerely hope the owners take this feedback seriously, provide the necessary customer service training, or reconsider whether she is the right person to manage the business. No customer should leave feeling disrespected, unwelcome, or singled out the way my family did today. read more

I used to be a regular at their Upland location and had perfect nails every time! I recently moved to LA so I wanted to try out their Montebello location. I unfortunately left with the worst French tip gel mani I've ever received. These pictures were taken 2 hours after my service. Cons: My French tip came out extremely uneven (lumps where the polish is thicker in some places), my French tip is patchy and very uneven, my nails are jagged, nail shape on my left hand is not a true almond/pretty rounded. Pros: Beautiful and very clean salon. Nail techs are friendly and they have so many colors to choose from. Great prices.
