Although the nail shop is not as modern as others, where it exceeds is with reasonable prices and great customer service. Donna was attentive and was quick. She asked along the way for me to check if nails were even or if I wanted anything fixed, this is pretty unheard of in the nail industry. I did not feel bad asking for little fixes and knew exactly what the cost was up front, no hidden extra charges. I will absolutely come again, this nail shop has earned a customer.

She didn't do much shaping also when it came time to polish my toes she missed some areas. I wouldn't recommend or go back.

I was looking for a mani and pedi and found this place ,the girls are really sweet and nice ,very welcoming,what I don't like is the cleanliness, no plexiglass ,wore down nail files,buffers and very old calluses remover, Pedi was okay,I had a slightly ingrown,she helped but still hurts I'm scared I have a infection.My mani was not great she rushed it didn't use no gloves ,didn't use no antiseptic spray or alcohol on my nails just oils and lotions,over all won't go back.but fyi payed 28 dollars plus 1 dollar because I used card.

Really great customer service! I went in really quick for a fill on my acrylic set. I let them know I was on a zoom class and they were so respectful. I had two ladies work on my nails so the experience was a breeze! Highly recommend! Spent $26 on my fill, the final result looks amazing! Can't wait to go back on Christmas week for the mani and pedi!

Service requested! Great pedi felt comfy. Feel clean. Free water bottle. I brought crocs and they put them in a bag for me because I got regular on my toes & gave me floppy sandals. . I really try my best not to leave bad reviews because I believe that there is more than what meets the eye. However I had called on Monday wanting an appointment for Thursday and they did not answer professionally all they said was hello. I literally had to ask if this was the nail spa I had requested originally for an eyebrow wax and a pedicure when I arrived to my "appointment." one of the ladies said that she completely forgot and if I had time to wait I said sure I would wait then I am assuming the manager came asked me again if I was willing to wait an hour and I just left next day. I get a call from them asking if I was still going to arrive and I said yes, and when I went in, I got my pedicure done and I would honestly read it a four out of 10, and then when she was done with my pedicure, I had asked her about my eyebrows and she said that she had forgotten again and then I should come back tomorrow, and I honestly wasn't going to go back and I'm not gonna go back. She was a very sweet lady. However, the manager there was just a rude vibe from her I usually tip, but I didn't tip this time and I felt bad but they not only messed up once twice but they messed up three times read more

DC Fancy Nail Spa is such a great new salon in this area! Donna and Candy are so welcoming, sweet and they always take great care of me. I tried dip powder for the first time with Donna and it turned out so nice, I love my nails and the shape is PERFECT. They have a large selection of powder colors, with matching colors in polish and gel for your pedicure. Candy did my pedicure and it was also GREAT. She worked really fast and gave me the best foot massage with a hot stone. Such a nice way to start my day today :) Overall these ladies are so kind and do good work, I would highly recommend giving this place a try. Prices are very reasonable too! i found them bc they had really good reviews on yelp. First visits were excellent and i loved the services. After my valentine's day set which were 5 different colors on french tip, they would get bothered by me asking for that. the last few times they get upset and charge me more for asking for french tip and different colors. I would understand if they charged a flat rate and i was going overboard but they get bothered. if you're doing a solid color, they don't have a problem, it's when you ask for french tip... won't be coming again... sorry . read more

Received a very positive recommendation, so I attempted a walk-in. No luck, I could see they were quite busy. I just as greeted upon entry and asked if I had an appt. I didn't have an appt. I was very graciously offered an opportunity to make an appointment for later in the day, so I did. An earlier appt wasn't able to make their slot. I got a call asking if I would like to come in earlier. Awesome customer service. Offered a bottled water during service, another customer service bonus point. Courteous, +customer service, busy but well managed. Walk-ins welcome, but you may need to wait a bit or schedule an appt and do some shopping in the area or go home and come back. read more

This DC Fancy Nail Spa is newly open for two weeks and there is a grand opening promotion which consists of 20% off on all services. Donna does all the acrylic nails in gel, dip powder, and other varieties. She did an excellent job and is a perfectionist. She takes her time to make sure it looks perfect. I got gel-x nails so beautiful just what I wanted I bring a picture and they make it just like the picture! Donna is so good always so welcoming and such good relaxing vibes! The quality is never that great - I always catch bubbles and lint in my gel manicures afterwards even when I tell them during the service when I notice them. Today, the lady doing my manicure filed my nails uneven and I had to stop her half way through and request a different person to fix her mistakes. This place is clean which gets them 2 stars but can't say much more than that.

Sadly, Superco and Ocean Star are both gone, but rising from the ashes is a bunch of fun stuff, like Smoking Tiger and this jumbo-sized nail salon next door, Magical Nails. Nothing too magical about it, but this busy salon has about 10,000 polish shades to choose from, and a printed menu with prices so you know what you're getting and how much it will be. All the salon chairs have the back massage function which kills two birds with one stone. Easy parking right in front, walk-ins welcome, and no waiting for your mani-pedi. I stuck my nose in to have a look, and was getting beautified just a few moments later. Minus one star for some unnecessary upselling, and a sour face from the greeter when I declined. But a free bottle of water cheered me up. Would I go back? Yes.

I came in with a reference photo from your own page and clearly explained what I wanted. When the tips were first applied, they were wide and not the shape I asked for. Before acrylic was even applied, I politely spoke up so I wouldn't end up paying for something I didn't like. That is normal as a paying client. Instead of being understanding, Kristy immediately responded with attitude and said, "you're going to make me take them off?" Whether you choose to deny that or not, that was said, and it set the tone for the entire appointment. I even apologized in the moment because of how uncomfortable the interaction became. After she removed and reapplied the tips, she asked me about length. I did NOT ask her to choose for me--I simply asked what length was used in the reference photo so I could choose something similar. That's when her attitude got worse. She became dismissive and irritated, saying it was my responsibility to know my length. Asking for clarification is not being difficult. Your response focuses heavily on technicalities (length, time, process), but completely ignores the actual issue: the way I was spoken to. This was about attitude and professionalism. I was not rude, I was not difficult, and I was not asking for anything unreasonable. I was simply trying to communicate what I wanted before moving forward with a full set I was paying for. The situation became uncomfortable enough that I stopped the service. I was then left with tips still on my nails and had to ask for them to be cut down. Even then, I was left with plastic tips still on the edges of my nails. Also, mentioning that "camera footage was reviewed" does not change my experience. If anything, if that footage truly supports your claim, then feel free to share it. I am not backing down from what I experienced. I know how I was spoken to, and I am 100% certain that the attitude I received was not appropriate. What I described is exactly what happened, and dismissing it as untrue is simply downplaying a client's experience. At the end of the day, clients should be able to ask questions or request adjustments without being met with irritation or made to feel like a problem. It just bothers you that unfortunately you're getting called out and I'm basically doing this to prevent someone else having a bad experience. I'm not going to stay quiet.

I came in hoping to get a simple acrylic full set with a French tip. When I arrived, I was told that the nail technician I requested was not in that day, but I was able to book an appointment for the following day instead, which I accepted. Later that day, I received a phone call from the salon that I missed and returned the call. When I spoke with the owner, I was told that the nail technician I requested was refusing to provide services to me. I was very surprised and caught off guard, as I was not aware of any issues. I then received a follow up message stating that my appointment was canceled and that the salon would no longer be able to provide services to me going forward, citing an 'oversight' and stating that all nail technicians had declined service. This was especially shocking, as I had never been informed of any prior concerns during my time as a client. I responded respectfully within minutes asking for clarification so I could better understand the situation, but I never received a response. I understand that businesses have the right to refuse service, but the lack of communication, transparency, and professionalism, especially after confirming an appointment, was disappointing.

She was super friendly and professional and we had a great conversation going throughout my appointment. Speaking of appointment, let me share what I had done! I ended up going with a gel manicure and pedicure. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I desperately needed my nails done after work one day and DC nails was right off the fwy. I was very lucky that they were still open and took me in as their last customer. Both of the ladies did a great job. Considering they were about to close they both took their time and provided a quality service. I never felt rushed or as if I had inconvenienced them for the last visit. Another lady came in while they were working on me and were already closed, she had a one nail emergency because she was on her way to a date, they told her they were busy and I said I didn't mind them tending to her, so while my pedicure continued with Candy, Donna went and fixed the lady's nail. I have loved going to this Nail Salon for the past 2 years. I always get Gel X and pedicures. Both Donna and Candy have done a very professional job each time. I have been very satisfied with my nails and they listen and respect my choices. Their prices are also very reasonable and lower than other salons I called.
