Usually when you try stuff like this you'll get the tone from the employee that comes off as "I don't want to but my manager is standing right here, so yes" but that was not the case here. They were more than happy to take us within the hour. For two people who hadn't had massages before, this was quite the experience. Extremely relaxing experience with a pleasant, soothing environment. We had such a pleasant conversation with our masseuses, who were both locals. Boy 45 minutes can fly by. I went in and was happy to see an effort is clearly made to keep the atmosphere relaxing. I was taken to a rest area that is admittedly cramped. Amber was on time. I made a reservation for a deep tissue. Admittedly Amber didnt use the most heavy of pressure but it certainly falls under the deep category. She is just so, so amazing. She knows where to go, she knows what combination of technique to use. She was able to release knots that other well trained masseuses have overlooked in so many massage therapy sessions. We booked 3 different massage therapists this time, including a facial for our daughter. Dawn, who did the facial, had great vibes, and she talked just enough to make my daughter comfortable, but not so much that she felt any intrusion. Jeff was amazing according to my husband - he managed to get out a knot hubby had been dealing with for months and months. For me, Jen was great, expressive hands and knew just where the "hot spots" were. One of the things I really like is the attitude of the staff and the owner (I think it was the owner.) Everyone is calm, friendly but not too friendly if you know what I mean, and all the therapists seem happy to work here. The ones we see have been here since we started coming, which says a lot for a place. We're more familiar with the massages than the facial or anything else (our first facial, and we haven't tried anything else, honestly), but recommend Aluna without hesitation.

The 30 min massage was good, but I really enjoyed the 60 min reflexology foot massage. Unfortunately baby girl didn't come that weekend, so I ended up scheduling another prenatal 30 min massage a couple days later (where I'm also 41+ weeks) to get some work in before my chiro adjustment down the road and WOW...that 30 min massage was seriously the best I ever had during this pregnancy. This time, I had Cindy and she made sure to hit allll the labor points, including my feet, lower back, and even thighs. Ended my session with a yummy head massage too. Felt so good + so refreshed by the end of my session, it was truly a solid 10/10. I also noticed it was a lot easier for my chiro to adjust me, too. Will definitely be back whenever I need a massage, whether it's my whole body or feet and hopefully the labor points worked this time to encourage baby out! She was even able to fix my disastrous bangs so that they aren't too bad until the grow out (a huge mistake done by another stylist but Claire maire made them bare able for the next few months). Massage was better than last time and I love the color on my hands and feet! If you like small settings and not your typical spa Claire maire is for you. She's a wonderful, Positive person! If you have to pick one thing (which is really hard) I would say go for a hair cut and color. However, I don't think you could go wrong with any of her services!!
