Was shopping with my daughter in the mall and was hit up by the sales guy to do a free 2 minute trial and I declined.. a few feet later a gal hit me up again so I gave in under pressure. My daughter and I finished our 2 min freebie and it was insane amazing then the pressure sales kicked in for more... i said we would do 10 min each for $12 each...as the sign read. The 10 minutes were incredible..thought we were in Palm Springs at the master zen club. All was great... until the money transaction.. I gave a 12pct tip and the nice gal shamed me and said "Tip only for one?" So i popped the tip to 25pct and barely got a thank you. Went in to get a massage and the employee standing at the door pulled me in and pushed me down into a massage chair. I mentioned numerous times that I wanted a full body massage and how much it would cost me. This person was ignoring me and reached in to take my mask off while pushing me down to stop talking. I had to raise my voice that I didn't want a neck massage but instead a body massage. He got upset when I said no neck massage and slapped the napkins off the chair and walked out of the shop and headed to the food court like a spoiled child. Very pushy and rude. My Husband went in today for a back massage. From the beginning the guy was very pushy and impatient. My husband had to take a call outside so he hadn't come in yet because he didn't want to be rude but you could tell the masseuse waiting outside didn't like that. Once my husband got inside he told them he would like a back massage, he goes in and they start rubbing his feet. When my husband brings up that it was a back massage he wanted, he said he kind of pushed him into getting a foot massage as well. What was supposed to be a $45 massage ended up costing him $70 plus a $20 tip that the masseuse also kind of pushed him to give. The worst part about all of this is that his back still hurts. My mother got a 30 minute table massage and a 30 minute foot massage, my sister-in-law got an hour table massage and for $30 more she also got a 30 minute foot massage. Earlier today, I had one of those " $20 / 1HR" massage somewhere else, and I hated it. I mean .. The lady was chewing gum and just felt clumsy masseuse. So when I passed by this place with " $12 for neck and back pain " I just needed some good strong massage for my stiff neck which the earlier place didn't touch at all. I assume this place is new, it was pretty empty. David, the friendly asian old guy, was my masseuse. He immediately took me in, and started his treatment with smooth technique which is the good indicator of skilled person. I am pretty experienced with massage places, and he was definitely one of the goooooood ones ! Anyways, his 10 minutes was 100 times better than 60 minutes at other place. The lady was screaming out the room to the other workers, she only massaged my back, and then after she was done had the nerve to ask for a tip...unprofessional. What I like about this place is that it's clean, massage therapists are dressed in uniform, towels are bright white, and reasonably priced. Big plus, therapists don't smell like cigarette smoke as I've experienced at other $20 an hour foot reflexology places . Prices are higher, but they are in mall where rent is high. I leave relaxed every time. I would not recommend this place at all. I was walking up the escalator and a lady approached me. She wanted to give me a massage for $12 just for 10 minutes and I agreed. As I'm laying down she is whispering in my ear " you should do 20 minutes;" about ten times. I got super annoyed within 4 minutes into the massage I told her to stop. I told her I would still pay the $12 but by her pressuring me for cash was not pleasant or making me feel at ease at all. I also had to walk all the way to the exact location to pay because the small booth right by the escalator was only for attraction and did not accept debit ; not to mention I told her my paying method before she sat me down and she stated no such thing of me paying at the exact location. There was a lady standing outside that greeted me inside, I told her I wanted a 30min massage, she quickly said 1hr only. So I politely told her no thanks and started walking out. Aside from that customers were coming in and he would stop my massage to go tender them, he did this at least 5 times. In my head I though he would just add those minutes to my massage but did not.!! Right before he was finished he once again told me if I was gonna extend my 30 min massage to the 1hr, I once again said no so he said we were done. As I was getting dressed I checked the time 5:53pm this is not a 30min massage he could have at least gone the whole 30 min to compensate the time he took with the other customers. As i was gonna pay he said i owed $40, I told him the sign said 30 min for $30. He said he massage me for 40 mins. I told him that was a lie!! Throughout the whole massage he had been pressuring me to "upgrade" my 30 min massage to 1 hr. I had told him I check the time when I came in and that he had even cut my massage short by several minutes, he began to get all defensive in which I told him I was just going to pay for what I asked them! I placed $30 on the countertop, as I began to put my wallet inside my pocket he had the nerve to ask for a tip.!!!! Decided to have a 20-minute massage and let them know. They did a great job. A man started and a woman finished. I felt like they spent a long time on me. And they had - 30 minutes! I thought it was a bonus as a first-timer, but no, one of the men there told the woman charging me that it was 30 minutes. I let them know that I specified 20 minutes and only paid for that. They didn't say anything more about it and I walked away with a great massage. I will go again, but maybe use one of their handy business cards on their counter and write 20 minutes to ensure that it is only 20 minutes. read more
