I've taken classes with Kip, Kelly S., Kelly C., Anjali, Sonia, Judy, Matt, and Lisa and even though their styles are all COMPLETELY different, I loved every class in a different way. Your first class is free so you can try it out without having to pay. Most of the classes are 90 minutes but some are only an hour if you're looking for something shorter. Single classes are $18 each but if you purchase packages online, you save 5%. In addition, they also offer student/senior deals on TOP of that so it truly pays to book online! My 6-class package came out to $68. My only complaint is that on hot days, it gets HOT in there. I've done hot yoga before, but this is a little different: it's just stuffy, humid, and uncomfortable. I'm not sure if they don't have A/C or just choose not to use it but if you're planning on going in the summer, dress lightly and bring a headband and towel. The Ramsey location has an overhead fan. They also have a brand new GORGEOUS location in Chestnut Ridge, although the air situation is comparable (and no overhead fan). It's also next door to a coffee shop and the walls are VERY thin, however, the coffee is great!

I haven't had the pleasure of taking class with every teacher who works at both this location and the Chestnut Ridge location, but the instructors that I have taken (Judy, Alane, Lisa, Rose, Tenley, Trish, Kelly S.) are lovely individuals, and incredibly knowledgeable. The latter is evident in not only the way they guide you, but the way they can move their bodies. It's so inspirational. I'm sure the rest of the teachers are no different. Recently they've decided to add a Pilates class, taught by the fabulous Ms. Anjali and I couldn't be happier! While this is a yoga studio, I think it was such a phenomenal idea to introduce Pilates into the weekly schedule. I'm crossing my fingers that in the near future I'll see this class offered more than once a week!

He was great at cueing what i needed to be doing, noticed if ai was holding my breath and walked me through releasing. The best part is that its all individualized care. He sat with me first to discuss what areas I had issues with a curated a treatment plan around them. I should have said no. Not like this I haven't. People have suggested that I take a class before and I really had no idea that it would be so beneficial. I definitely didn't want to take a full hour class or hot yoga! I live right down the street and I had no idea Fire shaper was even there. I really should have realized by the name that it was gonna be hot, but I suppose than I probably wouldn't have tried it. They have certain rules in place to maintain social distancing. You're only allowed to take your mask off at your spot. They're not renting things. It was a great experience for my mind, my body and my soul. Holding the various positions build your strength, endurance and flexibility. Focusing on your body is a great way to clear your mind of whatever stress you are feeling in your life. The heat definitely helps you warm up your muscles to maximize your stretch and burn more calories. Ariel was the instructor of the flow class and she was great. She took us through a lot of different poses that flowed together. She seemed to give everybody in the class the attention that they needed. I didn't bring any water, my towel was small and it really was pretty pretty brutal. But when it was over I felt great and I slept like a baby. The next day I was surprised that my legs were as sore as they were. Did I get a full body workout? Fire shaper did everything right. You can buy classes and sign up for class online. The studio was kept clean. They sold anything you would need. It seemed like some of the people there knew each other and had a family environment.

So I believe that today was my fourth class and I have to be honest the first few I wasn't so sure if I was going to keep going because I was a little intimidated and uncomfortable. I am very self concise and felt "out of place" the first few times , that changed today . First off the instructor Amanda is wonderful. I was feeling like I was getting a lot out of her class and I felt like she was really paying attention to the students and when they needed some guidance. Unfortunately I got very dizzy and the middle class and had to walk out because I really wasn't feeling well at all she came out to check on me and suggested I go in and just at least lay down on the mat I try to do so for a few minutes but I knew I was going to be sick so I walked out again. When I came out of the bathroom another instructor I think her name is Karen P was waiting to see if I was OK. She is the main reason that I'm going to be coming back to the classes she was a complete stranger to me but she sat me down and spoke to me and pull things out of me like she had known me for years and made me realize a lot of things and the reasons why I'm having such a hard time in the classes. Both she and Amanda are huge asset to the studio and I am grateful for the fact that I actually got sick today because if it wasn't for that I probably wouldn't of gone back because I would've just given up if no one spoke to me and pushed me through it. I really do hope that the owners see this post and let their instructors know what a difference they made for me this evening I feel positive and I'm going to keep coming back it may take me a long time before I could do a lot of the moves but I'm not giving up

All, but one are rude and inexperienced. They half ass teaching the class. They cut you off when you are waiting to go up or down the stairs. They don't greet you, even if you greet them. There are also some extremely rude parents/grandparents who have no issues with making comments about other families and their children. This place as a whole is very toxic. The place is also falling apart and expensive! I recommend finding elsewhere.
