Amenities like snacks, drinks, and toiletries were all on par with other five-star spas. I booked a 50-minute "Recover" massage with Lacy, and she was exceptional. As a licensed massage therapist, I've had a lot of massages, and hers stands out as one of the best I've had in years. Her technique, awareness, and attention to problem areas were next-level. The only issue came at checkout. A gift card I received around Christmas 2023 had lost value due to a monthly deduction after one year. I don't agree with that policy, but the front desk handled it professionally and said management would review it. Even with that hiccup, this was a five-star experience. I was visiting family and knew I needed to get this taken care of ASAP. I looked up spas that were close by and found Refresh Massage just down the street. I booked my appointment online for the following hour. When I arrived, I was greeted by Brian (?) who said Sara would be just a moment. The lobby was very clean. They have a menu of services listed along with a note of which services they do not...it was amusing and disturbing that they needed to acknowledge these "requests." Sara came out and showed me to a clean, tidy room. I wasn't sure of which service I needed and after discussing it with her it was decided that the Focus massage would be the best. She did my neck and shoulders over a thin sheet which was not uncomfortable. Towards the end she did use some oil on my neck. She used the perfect amount of pressure for me and she was very kind. When I got back to the house, my daughter mentioned that she goes to Refresh Massage and asks for Sara...She was at work when I made the appointment so I wasn't able to consult her prior. :-) I was very pleased with my experience and I would highly recommend this spa! My head and neck feel amazing today!

It can accommodate all sorts of groups for a variety of different massages. There are plenty of chairs for foot massages, private rooms galore, custom shoulder massage chairs, and a serene ambiance with Chinese style furniture that helps with its overall vibe. There have been times where other patrons are talking and there have been times where the mass masseuses are the ones chatting (audibly). The back walking, deep tissue massages are the ones to get, but not every masseuse is able to do this. Some folks may complain about the lack of English, but that has never posed an issue for anyone I brought here, including myself. There are benefits to being members here, in which prices are always going to average out on the cheaper side and is an option, I would recommend for any local. If the massage was good, remember the name of the masseuse. Cash is king, even though they also accept credit cards. The pool area is super relaxing, and I loved that they have a coed sauna. I got an 80-minute aroma oil massage and it was AMAZING. The therapist used the perfect amount of pressure, and the room was so tranquil. Also, huge shoutout to the staff--everyone from the front desk to the poolside team was wonderful and so friendly. *That being said, the amenities definitely fell short compared to other spas around here (like Red Rock, where they give you dried fruit, granola, juice, Pellegrino, etc.). At Aquae, the complimentary snacks were literally just popcorn and water, which felt pretty lackluster for a spa day lol. *A few other things annoyed me: My first locker was broken so I had to switch to a different one. *Two of the showers were totally out of order. And if you're modest like me, there is no private changing area unless you lock yourself in a bathroom stall or take up one of the few working showers. I am not a fan of letting all of my jiggly bits hang out. They were missing some basic conveniences--no disposable razors, and no swimsuit dryer (they just hand you a plastic bag for your wet swimsuit). They did have toothbrushes, hairbrushes, shampoo, shaving cream, and hair dryers, though. Overall, the price point is fair for locals, the grounds are pretty, and the staff and massages are top notch. But with the JW Marriott and Rampart remodeling, Aquae Spa really needs a revamp of its own to catch up on the amenities. I'd go back for the massage, but I'm definitely bringing my own snacks and maybe a Moomoo tent to change under so I don't jiggle my wobbly bits in front of everybody next time!
