I was treated very poorly today and it done intentional by the barber. I will start off by saying it was my fault why the barber was in a bad mood. I made an appointment at 9am and arrived 15mins late. I apologized when walked in the store. The barber told me that he had another appointment in 5 mins and to come back at 11am. I agreed as I thought that was fair since I came in late. I apologized again as I left and waited for my new time slot. I come back to the shop at 11am as the barber was finishing up another customer. When I got called on, I apologized a third time as I sat on the chair and then let him know the cut I wanted. As he's cutting my hair he is hitting me on the head with his comb. He did this multi times and even hit me in the eye once. When he needed to adjust the position of my head, he just kept yanking it stiffly with both his hands instead of asking me to move it or placing a hand on the my head and gently guiding it. He used his comb to brush off hair from my shoulders and face instead of using his soft brush. He didnt even ask if I wanted my sideburns squared or tapered off. He quickly flashed his mirror and said I was done. He didn't even touch the front of my head where my bangs are and I pointed it out to him. After 1 last quick snip on my bangs, I paid him and went to my car to check. It was terrible. The sides were long, and not blended. He didnt even go high enough with the buzz razor. You can see to destinct sizes on the side of my head. The top of my head was barely touched and one side was longer than the other. I went back inside to ask him to fix it as it doesnt look good and everything was done poorly. He tried to convince me that he did it how I asked and I told him it looked bad. He agreed to fix me up, and this time he was being gentle. He used the soft bush and even warned me to close my eye when he was using the hairblower to remove hair off me. He did not do this the first time. I left with it being better but no where near the usual work they do for me. I ended up fixing it a lot myself when I got home. I can stand it if the haircut was done differently than how I expected it but I was being mistreated intentionally. The barber acted out maliciously and for what? Because I showed up 15 mins late the first time. Even after I apologized for it 3 times. I've been coming here for 2 years, was late for an appointment once, and this is how you take care of your customers?

While I was grateful to have gotten attended the same day I called, it really did feel like I was fast money instead of a client. I have experience going to salons and I've never been treated like I did here. To begin she was very rough brushing my hair out with a comb instead of a brush and she went straight down running into knots and ripped some of my hair out instead of starting from the ends to the top to avoid any breakage. She gave me a trim that I agreed to and immediately I noticed she had cut my face framing pieces uneven. She also did a refresh on my already bleached hair with a fantasy color so when it came down to washing that out she basically wet all of the right side of my face taking my makeup off. She got water in my left ear as well just plopping her wet hands all over the sides of my face. Then she installed the tinsels from a kit that I had brought myself. Her demeanor was pleasant enough but I can't imagine trusting her with intricate work such as extensions that she claims she also services. When it came down to charging me she kept tapping on the register buttons and I grew concerned and hits me with a total of approximately $305. I really was confused I mean this is the high desert and they are charging hourly here. I'm a hardworking individual myself I get the hustle but the pricing breakdown truly did not translate to what I received, when I travel to San Bernardino and LA to upscale salons I have no issue paying that much because I receive much better care!
