We have been treated like family over the years - our children feel safe and known by their teachers and any questions or requests to the administration or teachers have been promptly and thoughtfully addressed. Anissa is by far the best instructor we've ever had. She is on a whole different level! She pays incredible attention to detail. Since mastering clean and accurate form is the foundation of swimming, she corrects even the slightest hand angles and head positions. Thanks to her detailed coaching, we are already seeing great results in such a short period of time. She is incredibly friendly, professional, and amazing at what she does. An extra bonus: my child told me that the instructors constantly exchange feedback and advice with each other. The lights were bright, so it was a pleasure to play there at night. The courts were medium in speed. The team we played against had many ex-USC varsity tennis players on it. The JKC team is headed by the men's USC tennis coach, Peter Smith! There's a small pro shop as you walk in the front door, then there's a nice size swimming pool (looked like an Olympic size pool). The club has a large locker room. Also, the tennis facility had a lot of lessons going on and it looked like they had a very good junior tennis program. I would love to play at the club more often if I was a member or lived in the area. Tennis is the best sport! Xie Xie!!

The last teacher they paired us with consistently started our lessons late and ended them early. Tried talking to management but they were totally uninterested. I love this pool because it's in my neighborhood and my family doesn't have a personal one at home…read more However, the staff can at times seem passive aggressive and are really strict with the rules, a couple years back this seemed to be a larger issue when my son took swim lessons and there was one grouch on duty at all times during the free swims, she would be better suited as a boot camp instructor than a lifeguard....but this problem seems to have subsided this year and I haven't seen her since. The older lady at the front can seem a bit uptight if you haven't been here before, but I think that's just her personality and I don't think she means it in a harmful way. The pool is nice but there are limitations and swim tests so it's not like a fully free swim (as expected from a public pool) and the floor can get slimy and gross in the front of the pool where there is no test required to enter. I hope they fix the slimy floor because that is a build up of algae and a slipping risk...but all in all it's a really good place to know about so you can stop by when there's nothing to do or it's a bit hot.

Had I known this I would have not purchased the package swim classes and would have just opted to purchase them one at a time last year . However, as of April 2025 it seems like their website no longer allows for you to purchase one session at a time anyway. From a customer service standpoint no one reached out to us to let me know that my credits would be expiring and that I should book a class soon. So that's a bit of a turn off and a bummer. We live in Hermosa so it's a good 20-25 min drive from our house to get there each time. I'm going to have to rethink whether or not we should continue with them or just look for a closer alternative at this point, given their expiration policy. Seems like such a waste of money. As for the instructor , my daughter has the best rapport with Carissa. All of their instructors are good though.
