Thankfully, Today's Dentistry was able to get me in the same day--and I'm so glad they did. Dr. Cuong and Sam went above and beyond, staying over 2 hours past closing to make sure everything was done properly and that I was completely taken care of. Not only did they handle the root canal flawlessly, but they also took care of a neighboring tooth with a crown and a filling to make sure everything is set up perfectly for my next visit. The entire experience was completely pain-free--even the numbing shots, which honestly surprised me. The whole team was incredibly kind and attentive. Tara at the front desk even let me use her phone charger when my phone was about to die, which just shows the level of care they provide. The office itself is beautiful and uses top-of-the-line equipment. I also really appreciated their transparency with billing--they show worst-case scenario pricing upfront so there are no surprises, and they actively work to reduce your costs wherever possible. I'm genuinely blown away by the level of service I received. I'll be transferring all of my dental care here moving forward. 10/10--highly recommend!

Dr. Blankenship and his staff worked me in that morning, which was a pleasant surprise. He diagnosed the problem and referred me to an endodontist for a root canal, which --amazingly--I was able to get done that same day. I went back to Shoreline for a crown, and was amazed at how quickly and painlessly that procedure was. Overall, my experience with this office has been superb. It is very clean. Every single visit, I'm told I owe some deductible or extra charges that end up not being correct…read more I have repeatedly had to call my insurance company myself, and then insurance has had to contact the office to explain that I did NOT owe what they were trying to charge me. A major issue seems to be their insistence on unnecessary X-rays. They push for X-rays at every visit even though many insurance plans only cover them once a year, and depending on patient history they may not even be medically necessary that often. It feels more about billing than patient care. I also had a filling done by another dentist recently, and this office tried to tell me I suddenly needed additional filling work on that same tooth, which immediately raised red flags for me. Combined with seeing charges of around $600 billed to insurance for a basic cleaning and exam, the whole experience felt extremely questionable. Patients should double-check their insurance benefits and recommended treatments before agreeing to additional services here.

I had a tooth cleaning at this periodontist, because I was not okayed to return to my dentist in Galveston, to a tune of $172. As a person on disability, I am never charged for cleanings. "Oh well, you're out-of-network", I was told by the office staff of the periodontist. Dr Manuele/Schiedler is a worthless dentist. I will never return to this office as long as I live.

Also I would like to offer particular kudos to his assistant, Rosa. She was excellent in making me feel confident the work was being done by knowledgeable, caring folks.

The lady that she spoke to took her insurance information, and said she would contact the insurance and then call back. She phoned back and said the out of pocket cost would be $25. But later when it was time to pay, my daughter was charged $118 -- that's in addition to the $145 that the insurance was expected to pay. When we phoned Dr Magruder's office to discuss the unexpectedly high charge, the lady said that she would not have given any cost estimate since they are out of network, which was simply not true. The visit itself was fine, the staff were nice, and that's why I am giving two stars instead of just one. My complaint is solely about the bill.

Busy day here Seen dentist at 4:15p... the one thing about this dental office is...you probably will not get the same dentist twice in the same year...one reason, there's several and two...they revolve through here like a carousel. I've never seen the same one unless, I've had to come back for a procedure. Had to gargle for 5 minutes before cleaning...that's worrisome to me???!! Why? Had a dentist I've never seen before do cleaning...(hygienist out today) he had no help with the sucky thing so I was drowning LOL! He hit a nerve with the hook thingy; glad to be numbed! An assistant showed up to help him about 5 minutes into it. Yeah! Funny thing...this dentist said...you're teeth are pretty white (background--my teeth are considered gray/translucent in color and do not take to whitening methods) Anyway, he said my teeth are white but, my crown is...really white. Yeah, well... guess who did the "crown?" Yep, right here. I remember years ago that dentist saying, this color was a good match! LOL! Photo attached...could it be anymore off?!! *sigh*
