The BEST sober-me-up food you'll ever eat! I'll take Thai over breakfast food or Jack in the Crack any day. Order off their Thai menu. Nothing stops the room from spinning like some spicy beef boat noodle soup. The meat is admittedly a bit tough but the broth is sooooo delicious. I don't know how to describe it, I guess like pho with lots of attitude. The broth is a lot denser than pho. Also get the porridge with fish. It's such an easy simple dish to make at home, but it's so much nicer when someone makes it for you! They provide a variety of condiments to add in yourself. I like adding fish sauce & Thai peppers. If you're feeling a bit adventurous try the dried fish salad. It's literally what it sounds like - dried fish with cilantro, red onions, fish sauce, Thai peppers, some lime juice & a hint of sugar. Great Food, Awful Service. My husband and I first went to their location off Midway for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There were 4 tables in the entire place, including ours, and we had no idea who our server was because at least 3 different people came to our table. We had to get up twice from our table to ask for more water because they never came by to check on us at all. We had to wait 20 minutes for them to bring the bill too. We live in Frisco, but decided to give it another go and went to the Plano location for lunch yesterday. We were there forever. It took ten minutes for a waiter to come to our table after we sat down, and when he did he spoke no English but took our order anyway without writing it down. Ten more minutes pass and a girl we haven't seen comes and asks us if we are ready to order. I told her we already had someone take it and she said, "Um, yeah just give it to me again." So we did (she wrote it down) and almost 40 minutes later our food finally came out, wrong. I ordered the bento box with pad see ew which is a sweet soy sauce. Instead they gave me noodles in a spicy sauce with peppers. I also asked if I could have the cucumber roll instead of the California roll in my box because I'm allergic to crab. Of course, it was the California roll that I got. It's a shame because they really do have good food, but we will not be returning. read more

I've been to Thai-Vietnamese fusion places before, but Thai-Japanese fusion??? Their flavors don't even go togeths! So it's a good thing they don't try to mix Thai with Japanese flavors. There are separate menus--Thai and Japanese. The Japanese menu is pretty much just rolls. I had organized a group of about 24, and they were very accommodating!! Brava to Zenna on that, cuz I'm sure it wasn't easy! We were celebrating two birthdays, and they brought out a Chinese dragon and even sounded a gong. Lmao. Who do they think they're fooling? This place is pretty confused when it comes to Asian cultures. The food was pretty good, I can't complain there! We have not been disappointed by any of these dishes. The serving size is large, and the price is decent. Zenna is a masterpiece! A delicious blent of Thai and Japanese, and I mean delicious! I just wish they would quit playing soppy love songs during sunday afternoons when I try to eat their bento because I feel a little odd hearing "My Endless Love" while I hang out with my best friend who is also Zenna obsessed, and also a guy. Kinda feels like I am supposed to be getting romantic or something just because I hung out for lunch. I mean, what's next? Barry White? Isaac Hayes? That aside, the drunken noodle (Pad Kee Mow) is soooo awesome, I like it as spicy as it can be made! First off the ingredients they use are awesome for the immune system, it has red bell pepper and onion to start with. Also I can't do without the Gyoza (aka Pot Stickers), I found I prefer them steamed there. Their sweet soy dipping sauce is out of this world, and the little pieces of onion on them are amazing garnish to an already flawless Gyoza. Being a Japanese culture freak, I truly admire this and I am picky about Gyoza.. very much so. Their Yakitori chicken is awesome, it has this sweet glaze on the skewered grilled chicken and you dip it into this spice mixture they have there. The sushi they have is okay, not my favorite, but their curries, dumplings, sake bombs and other alcohol specials more than make up for it. I truly adore Zenna, from the amazing atmosphere, to the awesome food, to the beautiful girls they have working there (sorry I had to mention it), and the drinking doesn't get better... they even have this huge beer dispenser you can get for your table.. it rocks.. a little pricey though when they also have 50 cent mini beers at happy hour (or used to). Zenna, I just wanna say... change your music, people go there for a cultural experience, not to hear that lame 70s love music. Go play some JPOP and Thai music. This review is for their delivery service. I ordered at 6:27pm. It is now 8:02pm. I called again at the hour:20 mark and she apologized. "They had a back up on orders." No excuse! We live less maybe 10 minutes away. Their service in the restaurant is good. So is the food. I just called the third time, to cancel our order.Ashely said the manager is the one delivering our food. This should be good. ...The manager came with our food...finally. An hour and 40 minutes later. Granted, he dis have a delivery sheet with 12-15 addresses on it. That is not our problem! Zenna is a regular hang out for me and my husband. We are there way too much and way too often. The sushi is great for the price, the fish is fresh, the beers are cold and the sake hot, the Thai menu rocks and the steamed tulip dumplings are to die for. Happy hour is from 3-7pm, but they are open until 3am and they even deliever until 3am! I get late night steamed tulip dumpling cravings on a weekly basis and can count on Zenna to provide me with those little delicious delicacies! The atmosphere is great, but the service can sometimes be a hit or miss. Parking is alwasy an issue since the lot is so small. But since Zenna rocks so hard, our committment to patronizing this restaurant never fails and we circle the lot with persistance until a spot opens up. Good happy hour--although they recently raised their prices. However, management needs to train their bartenders on how to pour beer, half of it goes down the drain in the form of foam--maybe that's why they had to raise their prices. But more importantly, management needs to train their bartenders on how to count change. Here's an idea, since it's apparently unimportant to provide the customer with the correct change when paying their bill: let the bartenders round the bill down in the customer's favor rather than up in the businesses (or their) favor and let's see how long they get to keep their job. Also, it would be nice if they provided the customer with a paper check so they can verify their purchases rather than just telling the customer the amount due. I know of no other business that engages in that poor practice. read more

I wasn't too impressed with their food the first time I came here, but they have an awesome happy hour! 3-7 everyday. $2 wells, 2 L or 3 L beers for $6 or $9. Sushi and other dumplings and food for $3.50 or less. Their sushi is decent. And it came out super quick tonight when I was there. I also ordered the golden samosas. They were okay. Not the best Thai food in the area. I thought the food was just okay. I got their Pad Thai with a spicy level of 5 and the whole plate was covered in grease. I've been here several times for pick up , and a couple times just for sit down dinners. I use to work the overnight shift 7p-7am over in Plano, so whenever I had a hankering for a real meal, i'd put a order in. I usually stick to something regular (pad thai chicken or tofu), and it was good enough at 2am in the morning for my lunch haha. When i'd come for dinner a couple times, the food was alright, the inside decor was very contemporary and stylish, sets a good mood. I'd usually go around 6 or 7, so it wasn't too crazy, and service was decent. Although, one thing to note... when someone has a bday there, damn those drums are loud! haha 4 for being OPEN till 3am, and being halfway decent! Had lunch here today and was impressed with the food. My initial reaction was a bit cautious. I was greeted by a busboy with a backwards baseball cap. He found me a table and I waited for a bit for a server. Once we got to that point things were fine. My server was very polite, friendly and efficient. She brought out some wonderful soup to start things up. I ordered a Bento box lunch with chicken pad Thai noodles. It was very good. Our last visit we were discriminated, we came during happy hour and tried ordering sushi server said they were out of sushi rice and after few minutes they are serving sushi to everyone else. Tonight waited 20 mins for some one to greet us, there was another table with 6 people overly intoxicated and obnoxious and no MGMT there to tell them to keep it down, why should they, they are the one who over served them. This place is BEAUTIFUL. I love the way everything is set up and decorated. Unfortunately, that isn't why I went there. My husband and I decided to go with another couple that we are friends with earlier in the week. When we walked in, the place was pretty packed, so I had high hopes. My husband and I got there first, so we decided to get the seaweed salad appetizer while we waited. This along with all of the TONS of other pictures on the menu looked great. The seaweed looked like it would be a good amount in a bowl so we decided to split. This was not the case. What we received was a fork full slapped on a plate over a few slivers of cucumber. (For a visual, look at the pictures I posted as well. I showed the menu pic as well as actuality). What's worse is that it's $6! Which I wouldn't have a problem with if we had actually received what was displayed. Once our friends showed up we order our meals. 3 of us split different sushi rolls and my husband got pad thai. My favorite sushi roll is a crunchy roll so I ordered that. The tempura was on the inside NOT THE OUTSIDE so it...was....soggy! Who does that?!?!? Even a novice chef knows if you put crunchy breading next to moist veggies will make it absorb water and no longer be crunchy. The next roll was a recommendation of our waitress, the spider roll. It followed suit with the seaweed salad. I was served to us slapped on a plate and unraveling! I've had better quality from a grocery store!!!! The next thing was the pad thai. It was like no other pad thai that we've EVER had before. I was in some sort of orange sauce that tasted funny. It was very weird. Our friend that goes to Zenna in Addison all the time said that the Addison location is WAY better than the Plano one. We will NOT be back here. We tried this restaurant after much debate if we would ever go or not. The restaurant is driven for those who drink... BUT you can't pass up the deal on the food... Sushi... My husband ordered tuna sushi and the spicy tuna roll. The sushi was $1 a piece and the roll was $3. Obviously, the tuna was the same quality as a fancy sushi restaurant, but it was still tasty. I had the salmon ($1 a piece) and the Philadelphia roll ($3.50). I thought mine was really good and couldn't complain at all. Wings... We ordered the pepper garlic wings and they were so tasty! Those, at the happy hour cost was $4.50. The chicken was crispy and had a ton of flavor. Ribs... We ordered the pork short ribs, and it was well worth the $4.50 we paid. The people sitting next ordered them, and we ordered it because of their plate. Thia Tea... Order it. It's delicious. Maybe a little too sweet, but it was still tasty. This place is busy. The waiters are constantly running around, but we did not have a rude server at all. If we asked for something, she got it as quick as she could. Obviously, this isn't a super high end place if you are looking for amazing high quality fish (it isn't Sake Sushi in Richardson). But it is filling and tasty. We will be going back again. read more

We went here last night for dinner and the first thing I will note is that our server Alisa was fantastic. She was very personable and attentive. The interesting thing was the music was similar to what you would find at a hip hop club. It's definitely a fun place to go out to with your friends - up to you if you want to bring young kids here (depending on how you feel about certain song lyrics!). The food was good, especially the green curry. The fried ice cream was also yummy and for a very affordable price! Good place for a late night hang out with buddies. read more

As another poster said "tuner car convention from hell", with spilling, shouting at the top of lungs, yelling, hitting, screaming, ** spitting on the floor **, and general douchebag behaviour. And that was just the girls. The guys were hat-on-sideways baggy pants morons even more violent and loud. There was a "serve yourself" beer urn on the table that I will assume was filled many times before we got there. I will be gracious and assume these were UTD students on a Very Serious Binge rather than a home-invasion gang getting liquored up for the night's action. This was a 8pm, it wasn't 2am or something like that. We will never, ever go there on a weekend again. I have been to Zenna Thai a few times. The first time was the worst time, It was a Friday night. The Dinner Crowd was hot and heavy as expected. The husband ordered a pad see eew with chicken,Mild. I ordered a spicy Thai fried rice with beef. My Husband was not happy with his order as he received a SPICY chicken dish when he specifically ordered mild chicken. We were skeptical as we entered Zenna because it was a little early for lunch, and the whole place overwhelmingly smelled like cleaning products (and not food), and there were only a couple of other people inside. Our server didn't make a good first impression, either. She didn't greet us, instead she just walked up and asked if we knew what we wanted yet. When my coworker answered that he needed a minute, she walked away and we had to call out our drink orders to her. Drinks that she never refilled, btw. But the food was very pleasantly surprising. I played it safe, as I tend to do, and ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box. The lunch soup that comes with it was very unique and very delicious! Sweet and spicy and very flavorful -- I've never had anything like it! My food was delicious and fresh. My coworker likes spicy, so he ordered a curry, extra spicy. He said it was delicious, and he cleaned his plate. Before we left, we noticed that the place had filled up, including two huge groups and several individuals eating at the bar. Looks like Zenna can accommodate both extremes. The peanut-ginger salad dressing was another delicious surprise. I ate here recently for lunch after having stayed away for a couple of years. The food just isn't worth the wait. I had hoped they would work out their service issues, but they haven't. After ordering, I got my water, then sat there for at least 15 minutes before they brought out the soup that comes with the bento box. C'mon people, it's soup. It's already cooked. A waitress only need ladle some into a tiny bowl and sprinkle it with cilantro (yech.) After that, it was another 20 minutes before the rest came out. They are always busy at lunch, it's not like this is a surprise to them, but they just can't get it done. If you don't mind spending 90 minutes for lunch, most of which will be spent waiting, this place is okay. read more

I had to travel to Dallas this week for a business trip. I roll into DFW, find my way to the hotel and I'm starving for some good food. Fortunately Zenna is close by so I order up some yellow curry chicken and seafood with some steamed rice and a side of yellowtail sushi. The sushi was really fresh and the wasabi had a real kick to it - just the way I like it. The curry was out of this world. Hot but not lethal and a wonderful hint of coconut flavor to it. Generous portions of chicken and shrimp/squid/lobster. Plain white rice is a beautiful thing when it's done right and they did it right. Light and fluffy, not sticky. A perfect compliment to the spicy flavors of the curry. Great Thai food - not to be missed. read more

As much as I love this place, and despite coming here quite often, I can only give them 3 stars. Service is almost always mediocre. It's bearable, but could definitely use improvement. Food is pretty good. I use good because it's just that. Nothing exceptional, but it's good. I like their Pad Thai and fried rice, both flavorful and spicy. As everyone has noted, their happy hour specials can't be beat. They're also open until 3 AM every day so it's great for late eats. Parking is a nightmare. Their Thai Lo Mein is excellent. I like spicy food but 2-3 is fine for me. My boyfriend, who loves spicy food says anything beyond a 3 messes with the actual taste of the dish since you're mostly tasting spice at that point. However, he loves him some red curry #5. They also have some delicious calamari. Waitstaff can be hit or miss about delivering dishes and drinks quickly but the food and the being open til 3 a.m. every night more than makes up for it. Came here for lunch with co-workers. Their lunch special is definitely a steal. I got the green curry bento with rice, an eggroll, sushi, and a delicious peanut dressing salad. It also came with Tom Yum Soup, which was palatable as well. My coworkers also got the crab dip appetizer, which was normal fare. They also got the pad see ew and veggie stir fry bento boxes. (The noodle boxes get edamame instead of rice) For the most part, the polite and quick service and satisfying food made it a good place to eat for a nice lunch. read more
