This place is a self service, cafeteria style restaurant. We went for a very late lunch here to try their charged-broiled grill entrees, which is their specialty. We ordered chicken teriyaki with white rice and chicken yakisoba. A Japanese dish of sautéed noodles, vegetables and meat, served with thicker Japanese sweetish sauce. The grilled chicken teriyaki and yakisoba were delicious. It's hot and freshly cooked. The place is neat, clean and well lighted. The $ Yelp code is good.

I was here back when the city was on Covid lockdown. The food is delicious as expected from the last time I was here. Customer service was excellent. And the ambiance is relaxing! I definitely enjoyed my lunch and would recommend. 5/5 Oh and not to mention the prices are still the same affordable prices even with the inflation. Come support Teriyaki Sensei!

I came at closing time and food was prepped fast but just wish they included more sauce on the chicken. Some was dry, some was flavorful and the rice was a little sticky but I'd come back and try again because it's a good portion for 1 person - would just ask for extra sauce.

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki. The flavor is very good. However, in "spicy" terms, it's mild.

So glad I found this place, real teriyaki is hard to find in the DFW. Being from Seattle, the teriyaki capital, this place met my standards. So far I've only tried the spicy chicken teriyaki, but it didn't disappoint. The chicken was flavorful as well as the veggies. I've only got my orders to go but the portions have been a good size each time. They are closed on weekends and close at 7 the other days. If you're a teriyaki fan or looking to try something new, I would recommend this.

Honestly, I could eat here every day! I used to live in Seattle, and the only thing I missed was the Teriyaki, not anymore!

Exterior looks kind of sketchy but interior has a nice Japanese vibe. They have a pretty extensive drinks menu at the front, lots of tables with seats, and 3 tatami tables. Service was good - the cashier was very patient and helpful, and explained what each dish had. They also told us upfront to leave our dishes at the tables after eating for them to clean up afterwards. I ordered a gyudon with raw egg yolk for myself and a loaded fries to share. The food took awhile to come out - felt like 10-15 mins. It was a good amount of food. The food was very tasty. One of my coworkers got a katsu curry - he said it was good. Loved the interior vibe and decorations. Didn't try the drinks but saw a lot of "matcha" options. I'll have to try that next time.

After we placed our order (a sheet of paper with numbers next to each sashimi/nigiri/roll we wanted), it took at least 5-10 minutes before the counter chefs started preparing our sushi plates. Prices are pretty decent for the quality. All the fish we tried was decent, but my favorite and the standout flavor profile was the black sesame basque cheesecake. Yum.

While waiting in the front lobby, I sat next to a couple while my partner parked the car. The woman complimented my nails, which sparked a friendly conversation. When the host came to seat them, she mentioned having seats next to each other. We assumed she meant bar seats and followed along--only to discover we were being seated at the same table as this couple. Suddenly, we found ourselves dining across from complete strangers, which made for a very awkward experience. We tried to make the best of it, but it just wasn't working. To make matters more confusing, our server assumed we were all one party. The restaurant also would not allow any substitutions on menu items. I ordered a roll and was served something entirely different from what I expected. The service itself was friendly, and everything we ate was fresh. However, nothing stood out as particularly memorable, especially compared to other sushi restaurants in the DFW area. To top it off, we felt rushed out the door at 10:10 p.m., immediately after closing. Overall, the food was fresh and the service was good, but the unusual seating situation, lack of flexibility with the menu, and rushed ending made the experience disappointing.

Prior to driving there, I call the restaurant to ask if they could accommodate me -- and they said yes. I got the chicken ramen and subbed for katsu protein, shrimp tempura, karaage and milk tea and my friend got the black garlic ramen. The karaage came out tossed in a an acidic sauce with sesame seeds -- almost like saucy wings. This caught me off guard because the menu does not indicate it would be covered in sauce -- and we didnt want it sauced. Shrimp tempura had 3 shrimps and the rest vegetables. Another surprise because the menu listed shrimp tempura as an item on its own, and then another line item for vegetable tempura. My assumption is this is a cost saving approach -- and while I have no problem with that, transparency would be good for customers. Just list out what is included in the dish so no one is surprised. The ramen was disappointing. The broth came out clear (like water -- i wouldnt dare compare it to pho because pho broth is packed with flavor). There was absolutely no flavor. It was the only ramen on the menu that I could have (again not what I was told when I called). I asked for soy sauce, chili oil and even dumped the leftover sauce from my tempura into the liquid broth and still it could not be saved. The black garlic broth was also bland. Neither of us finished the meal. Service was slow, only one girl working the entire dining room, (it was a weekend so packed). We waited for a while, they forgot my milk tea and it was impossible to flag the waitress until the very end. The only plus, they are extremely generous with the eggs.

To dissect the Chicken Teriyaki Bento: the chicken teriyaki had a nice flavor and wasn't dry (which is a pet-peeve of mine), the salad had a nice, citrusy dressing that just opens up your sinuses, and the gyoza was very juicy. A very filling meal, to say the least. The Unagi Don was delectable, with every bite a creamy and umami mix. Then, the "I Love You" roll literally just melted in your mouth. Service: No complaints! When I pointed out the mistake and asked for them to be replaced, the staff refused to take the incorrect order off my bill. Making an order mistake is one thing, but making the customer pay twice to correct your own error is completely unacceptable.
