Happy hour is undefeated here ! Love this spot for some good sushi and nigiri. Zenna used to have multiple locations but I believe this is the only one standing. I'm truly grateful because this is a forever gem. Service is always attentive and courteous. Staff here are knowledgeable of all the menu items and polite. I enjoy each meal which usually include the spicy tuna roll, salmon nigiri, and Philadelphia roll. I will also throw in a Long Island ice tea to set the mood right . My type of vibe here . Please come check this spot out and enjoy a great meal.

I haven't been back in years cause it was terrible last time. BUT! They've redeemed themselves. My partner and I were hungry and he had never been and since this place opened late and I told him about it. When we arrived, we had plenty of parking space. This place used to be such a hot spot that parking was hard and towing's enforced. Anyways, their sushi is not very good. It used to be better but I don't know what happened- no longer very fresh and they seemed to skimp on the fishes. Soft shell crab was underwhelming & falling apart. The crab was tiny and barely anything. The boat noodles' delicious and so was the panang sauce. If we were hungry at late night nights again, I'd come back for the Thai food- much better!

Overall Rating: 4.0 (0 = good, X = bad) 1. Atmosphere: O Atmosphere was quaint, not much to say about it, standard and fair. They do have live music courtesy of musician Joe during my visit which either hate or love but I enjoyed it personally. 2. Service: O Their standout if anything, the waiter was exceptional. Very kind and quick to tasks. Also if it's your birthday they do give you a free desert and musician Joe was super cool. 3. Food/Products: O Food tasted good, a standout for me was the seagull roll which was affordable for "eating out" and blew my expectations. 4. Pricing: O Mostly average or cheaper pricing than most places you'd find if you went to eat out. Seagull was like 8 dollars and I spammed 4 of them. 5. Overall Experience: O It was very pleasant, I went on my birthday so musician Joe was cooking it up and I did get a free desert from it. Aside from that, nice place to get sushi or Thai food, would recommend overall. Highlights/Recommendations: seagull roll mmmmh

Been coming here for YEARS, quality has gone severely down. "Warm Fried Banana" was colder than the ice cream. Such a shame, this place had some nostalgia.

My sister and were looking to try a new Thai place and this popped up. Bonus points because it's also a Japanese restaurant. Came in a on a Saturday evening for an early dinner and was surprised they had happy hour on a weekend. The happy hour is from 4pm - 7pm and it's everyday. It was too busy when we went and were sat right away. Started off with the heaven beef and chicken wings, both are part of the happy hour menu. Heaven beef was very flavorful and had a spicy sauce to go with it. Chicken wings were crispy and hot when they arrived to the table. They have different flavors you can choose from as well. The volcano roll was more than I expected, it's pretty much a full meal even though it's sushi. My sister enjoyed her panang curry and it was as paired with rice. The service was great from start to finish. Our server came to check on us multiple times, making sure we were able to get in our happy hour orders as well. Def recommend this place and def will be back to try other items.

For starters , I've worked as a server / in service industry for 9 years , so believe me .. this is the first negative review I've ever given in my life ... as I'm sure for a lot of other people know as of right now , money is tight .. me and my partner have not been able to splurge on food in WEEEKS maybe even months ...well I had a really rough day and my partner wanted to treat me to Chinese food because I had been craving it all day .. we rushed there as soon as my partner got off work .. were fully ready to give our whole order as we were sat down at our table , to make it easiest for our server due to it being later in the evening .. (an hour before they closed ). We were greeted with deep sigh's and eye roll's , there seemed to be a new girl and the girl that was seemingly training her seemed to have told her they were closed ? So she told us they were closed and the person who seemed to be training corrected her and said "no we aren't " so she started to grab menu's to seat us , then (me working service industry ) , i said if you're only taking to go we can definitely do that ! If not we can head out ! They seemingly , happily agreed to us ordering to- go .. simply because they obviously didn't wanna deal with us .. we waited outside because it was just noticeably uncomfortable and we were very much unwanted ... we got home and phew .... opening the chicken ... made the whole house smell like burning ? It was actually so bad I couldn't even handle the smell .. I had to put the lid back on ... the "lomein noodles " were .... i'm not even kidding ... top ramen noodles .. no seasoning ... I wanted noodles instead of rice and was willing to pay an up charge but they simply said no they couldn't do that , which I understand .. but I paid an extra $2.95 for top Ramen noodles with no seasoning ? At all ..? I will attach pictures for you to see for yourself ... then I called twice .. and was sent to voicemail ... it's actually really frustrating to finally allow yourself to treat yourself to a good meal .. and it's everything BUT that .. and we tipped because even with bad service we still tip ... we paid $60+ after tip for everything to be inedible, we took one bite of everything and packed it back up to bring back tomorrow since they don't wanna answer the phone before close ( also RIGHT AFTER we ordered ...what seemed to be a regular came in and asked how the host was doing and they said " ready to go " so it was very much giving LAZY ... seemed like the chicken was just sitting in the fryer for hours and they just tossed it back in to warm it and threw some Sause on there ... needless to say after my crappy day I still didn't get to eat because it was inedible..And for $60 I'm actually baffled.. if I could give 0 stars .. I would ..

I do not underhand the low reviews. I'll start with the only low point. It is a Thai and sushi place, but it is a bar open until 3 AM. It can get loud inside and it's not the fanciest place. But we are here god food, not decoration! Zenna has had multiple locations around the DFW metroplex over the years. The Plano location has always been the best and consistent. Service is always good, food comes out quick no matter how busy they are. The appetizers are great from the pork ribs, the heavenly beef to the unique crab Rangoon dip. One or two of these are always ordered when we go. Always have to get some kind of sushi. Rice is made great for it, slightly sweet and not bland. Fish always seems fresh. Our go t's for entrees are the peanut beef, pad see ew and pad Thai. They are always consistent and full of flavor. We will drive an hour past two other Zenna locations to go here. We have spent many a Friday night with friends here and will continue to!

The staff here are very sweet and helpful with questions about the menu and were not afraid to point out popular choices. For instance, I asked which of the dishes were best with roasted duck as the chosen protein. Our server indicated that the Basil Duck and the Duck Curry were the best and that the Duck Curry was more popular. So I chose that and my husband ordered the Thai Lo Mein with Beef and we split the Fresh Salad Rolls with added shrimp with peanut sauce. All of the items were amazing. The curry was unique and included added sweetness from pineapple and lychee. It was soooooooo good. The salad rolls were great with fresh peanut sauce. So nice with the added shrimp. My husband enjoyed the Thai Lo Mein. The decorations are tasteful and depict the Oceanic theme throughout. The restrooms and the restaurant were clean. The Shrimp Bang Bang had a perfect contrast of crispy exterior and tender interior, beautifully seasoned and complemented nicely by the dipping sauce. The Green Papaya Salad struck a nice balance of spice and tang--at level 4 it wasn't too hot, but still very enjoyable. My favorite was the Tom Kha, with its rich coconut flavor and pleasant sourness. For my main dish, I chose the Khao Soi, which was absolutely delicious. Unlike many Thai dishes I've tried elsewhere, this restaurant's offerings--especially the variety of seafood and meat options--have a more refined and subtle flavor. Rather than hitting you with intense heat or sourness, the dishes deliver a gentle, well-crafted taste profile. Their staff is consistently attentive and delivered our food promptly.

I ordered the basil fried rice (spice level 2) and the pork fried crispy rolls. The spice level 2 gave the rice a subtle kick - noticeable but not overwhelming - which is just the way I like it. The basil fried rice was packed with egg, bamboo shoots, baby corn, mushrooms, bell peppers, white onions, fresh basil, and garlic. The flavors were balanced, and the portion size was VERY generous - this was way more than single meal for me. The crispy pork rolls were also very good. They were filled with pork, green onions, glass noodles, carrots, white onions, and cabbage, and served with a thin sweet & sour sauce that complemented them nicely without being too heavy. Even though I ordered them as an appetizer, they arrived midway through my meal, so not the best timing. The fountain machine wasn't working, so drinks were $2.50 for a can of soda with no refills. That felt a bit steep for a canned drink. I count that as a downside of the visit. Overall, the food was flavorful and generously portioned. With small improvements on the drink situation and meal timing, it could easily be a 5-star experience.

I ordered the chicken pad thai (spicy) and the Zaap combo set opting for the Zaap crispy wings with sticky rice. Everything looked good and was well packaged when I got home, I was genuinely excited to try. I made the perfect plate of pad thai, a couple wings, rice and papaya salad. The wing combo meal was my favorite. The wings were fresh, seasoned so well and I loved the garlic pieces/flakes on the wings, wished they added more honestly. The only critique is I wished the wings were actually crispy, they were kinda soft but I'd still get them again. Misses for me unfortunately was the chicken pad thai and papaya salad. I've never had pad thai before so I didn't really know what to expect but I didn't care for it overall. My biggest issue was the texture of the noodles and it was somewhat bland, the chili oil I got did help some but between the noodle texture, sparse chicken and it being lightly sauced, I wasn't a fan. Papaya salad again is new for me and just wasn't my thing, it was spiced to my specification but nothing about the flavor appealed to me sadly and I really wanted to enjoy it. I will say, portion sizes of everything was great, all my food was piping hot and customer service was good so I would come back for the wings and just try something else out.
