Popcorn chicken meal. $12.99 for this bowl of rice and fried chicken. Such a great price, but the chicken was super fatty. Didn't eat it

We were really drawn in by the great daily special menu, only $8.99! Presentation was good, however the meat was fatty and very poor quality. Baked pork chop on rice was the Friday special. We also got popcorn chicken, and it was very fatty. I guess you get what you pay for? Disappointed and won't go back. Even with the cheap menu.

This place has bubble tea, Taiwanese food & desserts. They get a 4 for the desserts & bubble tea but 3 for the food. Grass jelly with taro came with grass jelly shaved ice which was decent (I'd also never seen this type of shaved ice before). The grass jelly was smooth & fragrant. The taro paste was nice. The chewy flour cylinders added good texture variation. Milk tea with grass jelly had rich tea & good silky jelly. The char kway teow (Malaysian fried rice noodles) was big & fragrant with some smoky wok flavour. It was fried with some shrimp paste. There were peppers, bean sprouts, green onion & onion but no egg. It used Taiwanese sausage not Chinese sausage.

This is a cozy tea and dessert place that also offering variety of dishes, price is reasonable and service is average. They also offer hotpot for two at $19.9 with good portion which you can't find anywhere else . Ordered tomato sauce chicken on rice and yansu chicken, both were a way too sweet for me give them 3/5; The guilin style rice noodle soup is at 2/5, tasteless. The ice team bowl is the highlight of the night, will definitely come back for dessert. 4/5

Came here Saturday night around 8 with a group of 4. Parking here is a pain in the butt. There's a grocery store and many other restaurants in this plaza so we had to circle around and wait a bit to find parking. They serve Taiwanese food but we only came here for dessert. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 desserts. The staff admitted they were busy and forgot about 1 of the desserts we ordered. We waited a while for it. I had the black sesame shave ice with QQ, tapioca pearls, vanilla ice cream and peanuts. The tapioca pearls was hard and I wish they gave more QQ instead. If you pay with cash they give you 10% off your order.

Most mediocre takeout, Taiwanese lunch I've had. T_T Ordered the salty, crisp chicken meal set. For $13 it comes with a choice of a drink (I chose milk tea w/ grass jelly). Portion-wise they give ALOT of chicken. Unlike their Downtown location, this ZenQ meal doesn't come with any "cool" side dishes nor are you able to choose any side dishes. It was just a couple pieces of plain, boiled, bland broccoli and carrots. This makes it extra bland. For Taiwanese food, I personally prefer the round rice instead of the jasmine rice used here. The chicken was average-tasting but very fresh.

ZenQ is promoting a "hot pot for two" as a new menu item. My XO and I ordered it for lunch. The hot pot for two includes a selection of soup base, a basket of veggies, and a plate of beef rolls and lamb rolls. Although I was initially skeptical of the portion, I was luckily proven wrong. The portion was quite okay. We loved the flavours of the soup broth, because it tasted rich (we chose non spicy broth). If you desire more noodle, meat, seafood and dumplings, they are available as a la carte. We will return and are recommending our friends to try the hot pot at ZenQ.

We had originally come to the plaza to eat at another restaurant but with the odd layout of restaurants and parking it wasn't easy finding the restaurant we wanted to go to and instead decided to try this one. Prices for food and dessert are on par with other restaurants. However, I do find them a bit steep. With the 10% for the soft opening the prices were more reasonable. The green beans with beef brisket was okay and the cuttlefish balls was the better of the two orders. The dessert menu was much more extensive than the food menu so I'd expect more customers will come by for dessert rather than meals.

We recently just visited ZenQ after the new renovations, and the place looks so different! It was during their "soft opening" over the weekend. The place has a cozy cafe feeling, with wooden tables/chairs and modern panels and lighting. In terms of food, I do miss the old ZenQ as the menu seems to have completely changed. I had to do a double take, as I thought this was a totally new restaurant at first. Instead of having select Taiwanese items which it is known for, the menu now has like over 100+ food items from Malaysian, Thai, Chinese, to Szechuan noodles. It did seem overwhelming, and I personally wouldn't come here if not for the Taiwanese snacks. There were also no special combos that they used to have, such as meal and drink between $10-$12 or afternoon tea specials. Certain favorites, like the minced pork with rice were crossed out on the menu too. We ordered the popcorn chicken and the matcha shaved ice. The waiter must have been new, as she didn't provide us with any utensils to eat the popcorn chicken at first. She also didn't provide us with bowls/plates to share. It took awhile to get the waiter's attention, and she didn't seem to understand our English. I am guessing that this place will probably cater to a different crowd now. The prices have also increased a bit, and the quality and service wasn't that great.

We came here to try the Taiwanese dessert and the pictures just could not justify the actual taste of the food. We ordered 3 different dessert and none of them are outstanding. We also ordered the special of the day, hainanese Chicken, and I'm sorry, but the chicken has that " chickenny" taste, if u know what I mean. The chicken was so rubbery as it was just cooked in the microwave. We also got the salt and pepper chicken pepper which was okay. The service was very quick and all the waiters were very polite and friendly. The reataurant was very quiet, prob bcuz its a Monday and its located in the Langham shopping center.

Service was okay and food was not bad. Restaurant was clean and neat. Portion sizes were pretty big and prices were fair. They have a discount promotion if you pay cash for dine in and takeout.

Newly renovated to be more instagram worthy. Seems like the same kind of food as before, as expected. They do have some advertising on the tables. It's a nice place to eat and have dessert. Prices are quite reasonable for the portion. Average taste. Wifi: yes(t) loyalty: no

The prices here are a little steep for the ingredients you get but it's a decent "late night hang-out spot" in Markham considering it closes at midnight on regular days and 1am on Friday and Saturday nights. The "specialty" Q balls are intriguing in the same way that tapioca is - it's something to chew on that's mildly sweetened. I wouldn't sit there and just eat Q balls on its own but if I were distracted in conversation with friends, and it was just sitting there, I would pick at it and eventually eat it all. I ordered the mango sago and popcorn chicken. Both were decent, tasting exactly what I expected it to taste like, and overall, service was good. The staff were prompt and polite with orders/requests. This wouldn't be my hang-out/dessert place of choice, but I'd come back if my friends were inclined.

Visited breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pop corn chicken is ok but not authentic Taiwanese style of course. Those combo comes with a bubble tea are pretty good for $12.99. Breakfast quality is really average.

The rose tea flavour was sooo good, I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did but it was the perfect mix of floral, sweet, and tea flavoured. I love how nothing tastes artificial. For around $10, it's a pretty solid place to grab some dessert. The only downside is that they have very limited seating here. We got lucky because a table was just leaving as we arrived, so we managed to snag a small table to sit and chat. But it still gets very crammed in there when there's usually a line that runs along the same area as their seating. This spot is best if you're coming to hang with one person, otherwise it's not very accommodating for groups due to the limitations of their space. Even still, you might not score a seat right away especially if you're coming during peak hours.

Visited this cafe and got their shiratama matcha & pistachio swirl parfait. The pistachio & matcha flavours were both very strong and went well together! I loved the red bean layer, and I like how it came with 6 mochi balls (great chewy texture). Would love to come back and try their matcha drinks. The black sesame matcha and red bean layer+ crystal jelly matcha caught my eye! Note that the space is small and there are only a few tables to sit around.
