Great massage in Pasadena! After a long crazy week they were able to accommodate me for a same day appointment on a Saturday. I got the combo massage with hot stones and aroma oil. When checking in I filled out the sheet indicating my shoulders and neck needed the most attention. My masseuse definitely concentrated on those areas and helped a lot. The "rooms" here are just a sheet hung up that divide you from others, which is common, but everything felt really close here. Barely enough room around the bed to move through. I could hear every other room which was a little distracting. My room was #4 which is right in front of the lobby door so there was a lot of traffic in and out which also took a little bit away from the experience. Overall though the massage was good and the prices are reasonable so I would come back here again. This place is a little hard to find tucked away behind the Vietnamese restaurant. After waiting approximately 20 minutes, the receptionist informed me that there would be a delay because previous clients had arrived late. I expressed that my scheduled appointment time should not be affected by other clients' tardiness and that this was unacceptable. I was told that I would be compensated for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I was not seen until approximately 5:40 PM, resulting in a 40-minute delay despite arriving early. My time is valuable, especially on Father's Day, and I had planned my evening around this appointment. The massage itself was also disappointing. During the 90-minute session, I asked the therapist twice to increase the pressure, but my requests were not addressed. As a result, I would rate the experience a 4-5 out of 10. I left feeling that the service did not meet the expectations associated with a 90-minute massage. To compensate for the delay and inconvenience, I was given a $10 discount. Given the significant wait time, the lack of responsiveness during the massage, and the fact that this occurred on Father's Day, I do not feel that the compensation adequately reflected the impact on my experience. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future clients are not similarly affected. Nirada Thai Spa fixed an ongoing problem with my lower back and right leg. At times it is so bad I would wake up at night and could not sleep again. Last night was one of those nights. I was recommended to try Nirada Thai Spa. They were able to see me today and really work into my psoas muscle and even into my QL muscles unlike other techniques because of their ability to twist your body into positions to access the muscles. I know a little bit about the muscles because of the ongoing issues with my wrecked back. NO other massage place has been able to solve this problem. Ask for Jazmin when you contact them. Like myself, you will get relief you didn't know could happen. It is a real solution other than taking pain meds and worthless Physical Therapy from places like Kaiser. No need to thank me. This has been my go-to massage spot in Pasadena. The rate is pretty good at $60 for an hour, $90 for 90 minutes. Becky is very skilled and has done very effective deep tissue massages for me. The is very little parking though, and there are very specific spots you cannot park in. So make sure you're sure you're in the right spot. They charge a little extra for paying with credit card, so bring cash if you want to avoid that extra fee. I have also found it can be hard to get an appointment because they don't always pick up the phone. Just keep trying to call, I guess. I specifically asked for firm and asked if they can go extra firm when I realized it was very weak. I specifically asked to focus on my right scapula area and she did whole body anyway.
